My wife and I were passing by when we decided to stop and eat. We chose this place because of the rating and it did not disappoint. We also noticed a lot of local people once we walked in. The service was great and our waitress friendly. I ordered the shrimp po-boy "overstuffed" and my wife always wanted to try grits and shrimp. Both plates were fantastic with plenty of food. My sandwich almost didn't close from all the shrimp and they also gave my wife some garlic sauce that would scare any vampire away but it was awesome. I highly recommend this place. This is what you would think, a lot of fried, but very good food. The atmosphere is very casual. We had Boom Boom shrimp for an appetizer. It was delicious! My husband enjoyed the shrimp skewers and loved the yellow rice. I had the fried shrimp basket and the breading was very good. I was disappointed with the cole slaw. The added spice from someone not washing their hands well enough before preparing our food was most unwelcome. Fortunately we were welcome at the ER. And our daughter was welcome at the hospital for a stay of several days. While the food was good the experience was horrible. The kitchen got backed up then they got the order wrong. They said they would fix it then it took even longer to fix. Then you think the waitress would pay some attention to her customers even if just to get drinks for them. No that was too much to ask. We had to ask several times for our drinks. The manager then tried to tell us that's how they are supposed to be and their fryer has a timer. I told his 25 year old self they are burnt and tough.
