And no still hasn't been treated

Shriners practiced malpractice denying my 9 year old surgery based upon discrimination. And putting him in a cast when he should have never been in a cast. They wrote x-ray orders for the wrong arm. And now tell us we must remove the cast immediately as it is endangering him. Robert, the head of patient care was extremely disrespectful and unconcerned. In fact I have to say with the exception of AJ all Shriners employees have been rude and unhelpful. And my child still hasn't received care.

The only one they did have was covering as a sitter. Therefore, I never saw my nurse. My knee was completely numb and I was not able to get out bed. When I had to go to the bathroom I was placed on a pure wick. However, the nurse forgot to turn it on and when I urinated it went all over the bed. Most of the nurses acted like it was an inconvenience whenever I needed help or had a question about continuing my cardiac medication for my irregular heart rhythm. It was also impossible to get the equipment needed for home. The social worker wanted to send me home without a walker after a total knee replacement? I also had to wait for the referral for physical therapy and home health. Nothing was set up prior to my going home. I had to take care of it myself. This hospital has a lot to learn about patient care and the quality they provide. I worked in a hospital for 20 years in Southern California. This is by far the worst service and I am shocked. My grandma first went to the ER at Kaiser Permanente, where her symptoms were dismissed as anxiety. Despite clear concerns and our requests to look deeper, no thorough evaluation was done and she was sent home. Only a few hours later her condition became critical and she had to be taken by ambulance to Mercy San Juan Medical Center. From the moment we arrived, the staff took her seriously. They listened carefully to every detail we shared and performed a full evaluation. The nurses and doctors were patient, understanding, and supportive -- answering all of our questions and making sure we understood everything. Most importantly, they properly diagnosed her with a heart block, something that had been completely missed earlier. She was then transferred to Mercy General Hospital where she received exceptional care. She underwent surgery and had a pacemaker placed. Throughout her stay the staff remained compassionate, communicative, and attentive to both her and our family. We truly believe Mercy's thoroughness and willingness to listen made a life-saving difference. Thank you to the Mercy teams for taking concerns seriously and providing the care every patient deserves.

This did not occur with my first kid that I had at Kaiser! The original anesthesiologist was an older woman. She seems frustrated and couldn't get her hands still. She got upset after I told her the needle wasn't placed right. At this point she kept asking where do you feel it and get jamming it in more. This almost caused me to pass out. She was very rude and not helpful. I knew she messed up at that very moment. When she entered the room she didn't have any bedside manner. I expect anesthesiologist who is giving an epidural to be cordial... Now 6 months later after having my baby.. I'm constantly in pain and having severe neck and shoulder pain. I'm just being told to get another blood patch. Staff needs to be better trained. Another woman was in the ER with me for the same reason. So this is definitely a Sutter issue.

Visitor hours are from 9 am - 9 pm although if you call ahead, they can put you on a 24 hour visiting list. I have been a member of Kaiser, but not at South Sacramento for a pretty long time and I've never made any sort of review quite like this or any review towards Kaiser at all!!! I have been compelled to do this to warn those assigned to him! Next doctor is Jasmine Win- her ethics as a doctor is outrageous! It seems that this particular location doesn't hire doctors that care for patients. It seems like they might be so severely short staffed that they hire anyone that is willing to work there that happens to have a degree. I encourage you to avoid these two doctors by all means this doctor during our phone appointment didn't even want to go past 10 minutes as she told me that it was just a 10 minute phone appointment and that she had three other people that she needed to hurry up and get into and as she proceeded to tell me that she was looking at her clock and continue to interrupt me that I need to hurry up as this appointment was pretty much a waste of time for her! I am so outraged as the way I was treated that I am here today to literally make these reviews on both these doctors. I also checked out quite many of these yelp reviews and I see I'm not alone here with this particular Kaiser, so I encourage you to please avoid this Kaiser! I also had several extreme disappointments with their discharged department, their social services department their nurse station their phone operating system. This Kaiser seems to be so disorganized extremely busy that they do not have time for you. Your quality of care your needs you will be a burden to them I guess unless you have extreme amount of money time and patience! I have been a Kaiser patient off and on, and I stepped in to help a loved one who has Medi-Cal through Kaiser and seeing what they had to go through along with how I was treated helping them has made me during open enrollment no longer willing to have Kaiser!

More likely to get surgeon or other help during night and weekend. I believe she's correct. From the moment I blacked out during IV insertion until discharge, I was helped by people who know their field and are damn good at it. Being neurodivergent, the ER and hospital environment is mega-overload. I always disclosed my ND and all of my doctors and surgeons were patient and driven to see my health improve. Some of the people who left a very positive impression = Dr. Leslie Tamura. Advocate, calm, intelligent, a solid rock of the best hospitalist I'll probably ever meet. She made me feel safe, heard and assured I would be in good hands. Rutu, charging nurse for her acceptance, support and humor. Lilian and Marlon for being accepting, caring and relating. Renz and Billy, amazing nurses I could trust. Ken was a cheerful and lighthearted tech assistant. And social worker Ashly, a soul filled with the best energy a patient could ever wish to have. She's in the right field! If you find yourself in the Russell tower (older wing), penthouse floor #5, be aware the rooms can get hot on the southern side but getting a sliver of a view of the helicopter pad (had to get up to see) does give the brain something to masticate and reminds you that others are out there helping others (soul warming). Oh, and that hospital air filtration is impeccable. I also liked the garden on the "second" floor. It is peaceful. And the food, it is decent. I loved the grilled zucchini and white rice. The packaged lemon juice was tasty. I never want to see any of the staff or doctors again unless we cross paths at the store or at a really great party. But, if I ever must go to the hospital again, I will hope to see them or I hope that their cohorts ought to be as awesome as them. Note: cell, text, internet reception in basement/ER is nearly non-existent (not limited to T-Mobile). Their Wi-Fi may as well not exist. Send text messages with the time sent. If it eventually goes through, the other person will know the age of your message. Floors above ER should have significantly better reception. Bring your phone charged and with your wall charger including plug, not just cable. Bring flip flops, dry shampoo, fresh chonies, your preferred ear plugs, comfortable lounging clothes, and hand lotion if you like those things and may be admitted. Note: when you hear a faint nursery chime it means a baby was just born in the hospital. *warm fuzzies*

Birth clerk contacted us later that day, apologized for the delay as they are short-staffed (her coworker has been on vacation?), and husband was able to get Verification of Birth Letter later that day. She promised to file our birth certificate with county. We'll see if we get our birth certificate on time. Changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars. Original review: Just had a Csec at the hospital. Things I am unhappy about: 1. Night L&D RN Lorraine who gave me my Lt forearm IV which was placed with lights dimmed, doubt she could see well... and I told her it hurt but she ignored me and said it was normal. Shortly after the IV, she was gone so I think she was rushing bc it was shift change time. Well... look at my arm now after I was released. And it still hurt around the site and find it hard to hold baby on Lt forearm while being a Rt handed person. 2. The postpartum RNs were constantly changing... had some travel RNs there who were not clueless and didn't give me my pain meds on time. 3. Asked for Lactation consultant right away, told yes they will put referral but then the RN forgot...finally got seen end of 2nd day right before her shift ended. Did not care for the older LC bc she kept talking about cutting the frenulum bc it's causing my baby to be fatigued... but didn't even look at baby's frenulum... her frenulum is way back on her tongue (so she's NOT tongue tied)... "i can't make the diagnosis but ask the pediatrician". I think at least look at it before making the recommendation though... 2nd LC was much better and helpful but by then due to improper latch (all the labor and postpartum RNs said latch was fine) and lack of timely LC help,, and extremely sore nipples by then, I gave up on breastfeeding. 4. And this is what's making me finally write a 1star review- Birth clerk never came on any of the days we were there. Supposedly was off. We never got a temporary Birth certificate until, as I was being wheeled out of the hospital, we were told to sign paperwork with our daughter's footprint on it and we asked to keep that paper. We were then given this temporary birth certificate by the nurse who was surprised we never got the paper. We never got a "Letter of verification of birth" from the hospital w our discharge paperwork. My work is asking for it so I can have protected bonding time and... I have nothing. I can't add baby on my insurance either... called my OB office who told me to call postpartum office today (she was off yesterday... how often does she even work?) who forwarded us to birth clerk voicemail.... my husband and I both left messages.... never got a call back.... we call back and the clerk had left without bothering to call us back... We were also told by RNs that birth clerk would contact us to make sure all the birth certificate details are correct.... still no phone call... does that mean she hasn't even filed for us to get a birth certificate?? My daughter is now 9 days old! Did the RNs not hand off the birth certificate request form?! How do they not have a replacement for the birth clerk on days she's off and having LEGAL paperwork falling through the cracks?! I am extremely unhappy that while I am supposed to be enjoying my new baby, I am having to stress out about my postpartum leave and job remaining protected, all while recovering from a Csection. Highly highly disappointed in MSJ and will not be recommending to any of my patients or family or friends... And I called the patient advocate line that a prior review posted... VM. It's like no one on the admin staff actually ever answers their phones...

After an hour, they did a blood test to check for cardiac enzymes after two hours. They did a chest x-ray. After three hours They did a CT with contrast. Add about five hours I was thinking it was strange that I still haven't heard anything and haven't even seen a doctor and I'm still sitting in the waiting room while a nurse is playing Dr on me next to tweakers and Folsom's finest lowlifes. They brought me behind a curtain again in the general waiting area and told me they needed to draw more blood at this point I asked them to remove the IV catheter because I intended on going home the phlebotomist went and retrieved the nurse and I asked her to remove the IV catheter. I told her I do not feel comfortable having her play Dr in the waiting room. At this point, she got frustrated with me and told me I was refusing medical service which I replied nicely. I don't believe I've received much medical service nor has anyone talk to me or told me what's going on for 5 1/half hours she also told me if I went home with the IV in my arm she would send the police to my house. I'm no expert in the HIPAA rules, but I believe her telling the police I have IV in my arm would probably be a violation of this. Finally, after some debate, she removed the IV catheter and I went home. I have been to hospitals in Third World countries which are much Cleaner and throw than this hospital and the total cost of the visit was less than my co-pay. I would never go here again. If you're in an ambulance getting transported and they say they're taking you to Folsom mercy kick the back door open and push the gurney out on the highway. I can promise you will have much better luck than the waiting room nurse playing Dr in a petri dish of nastiness, they call a waiting room. The major problem with this hospitals emergency room is that they wear you down and make you never wanna come back how many people die every year because they had such a bad experience of Folsom mercy and decided to stay home instead of go to the emergency room when they need medical attention. Don't be one of those people go to a different hospital and see an actual doctor in an actual hospital room not a nurse playing Dr in a waiting room. For those of you who voted for Obama care I hope you go to this hospital you cause this mess. By the way, I should've checked the Yelp reviews they only had 2 1/2 stars the lithium battery that I purchased on Amazon and it caught fire in my living room had three stars. Steer clear of this place unless you want to dance with the devil. This hospital should be classified as a teaching hospital because they teach you never to come back.

All the staff right from the checkin all the way to L&D and Mother & Baby (postpartum care) was incredible. Special kudos to nurses Julie H and Jay. They were so attentive and helpful to my wife & our overall needs.

Hospital emergency department visit. Severe abdominal pain because of an infection. Check in…read moreprocess was fairly fast. The intake personnel all seem tired, curt, beaten down by constant stress. No one smiles, none want to talk beyond the required information gathering. Triage into the medical side was somewhat better. The nursing assistants, Emergency department techs were more engaged. I did not see a Registered Nurse. Everyone was efficient, getting the job done with minimal fuss. The doctor saw me after a 15 minute wait. For an emergency department that is record fast time. He was cheerful, competent, helpful and was willing to have a converstion rather than dictate orders. We cooperatively agreed on a care plan. (It helped that I have a Master's degree in Public Health). My total time for the visit was 90 minutes. Got the medications I needed. 36 hours later I am starting to recover, though I still feel kind'a crappy (Pun intended).
