I love that they can accommodate food allergies with no real obvious compromise. My favorites are the crab cake burger and the blackened fish sandwich. The restaurant was empty, so we were a little nervous at first. We sat down at the bar and ordered drinks, then took a look at their giant menu. My margarita was nice and strong. Chips and salsa were so fresh and hot and on the house. I ordered chicken fajitas and they were huge and absolutely slapped. The rice and beans it came with were out of this world, so flavorful. The steak my mom got was also so tender, cooked and seasoned to literal perfection. chicharrons here are crispy and delicious. The hot sauces they have are the best you're ever going to have. I believe there might be a truffle and then there's also classic mayo. We stopped, were greeted cheerfully, and quickly found parking before heading to the window to order. My daughter had been there before, but this was my first visit, and we were both treated very well by the staff, including the Vice President of the Shinnecock Nation, who teased me for comparing their lobster rolls with ones I had tried previously at the original Lobster Roll in Montauk, Lunch in Southampton, and Cousins' Maine Lobster trucks back in Pennsylvania. He said theirs use fresh, not frozen lobster meat and are better. We both got the four ounce "Guppy" served Hamptons style - warm lobster topped with warm butter and chives over a bed of arugula served on a toasted brioche roll that came with a generous portion of classic shoestring fries and a pickle. Our sandwiches and fries were terrific, and I even got to try a Montauk iced tea, a local favorite that has half the sugar of Gold Peak sweet tea and came highly recommended by one of the private chefs in the Hamptons that I follow on social media.
