There was not a lot of fries for the price of $5. Fries did have good seasoning though. The grilled Brie snd strawberry was yummy. There was live music while I waited, and I really enjoyed that part of the experience. The menu prices initially seemed reasonable as well. However, the portion sizes and food quality were very disappointing for what I paid. I ordered the barbecue chicken, and the portion came in a very small, hand-sized container. I counted seven slices of white meat. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry and rubbery. It definitely had a smoky flavor, but for me, the smoke overwhelmed the meat and there wasn't much flavor beyond that. I also ordered a brisket plate for someone else. When I opened the container to make sure I had the correct order, I was surprised to find only two slices of brisket. My total was close to $50, so seeing portions that small was honestly very disappointing. The amount of food I received felt more like an appetizer than a full plate. The sides were a mixed experience. The cucumber salad was actually very good. It had a vinaigrette-style dressing, red seasoning, and red onion, and that was probably my favorite part of the meal. Unfortunately, the mac and cheese did not work for me at all, and neither the brisket nor the chicken had the level of flavor I was expecting. I want to emphasize that this is simply my personal experience and preference, and I'm not trying to discredit the food truck or suggest that everyone will have the same experience. I know food is subjective, and clearly there were plenty of people enjoying themselves when I was there. For me, though, the combination of the portion sizes, price, and flavor made this a very disappointing meal. I had been looking forward to trying Crossroads Que for weeks because of the recommendation, and unfortunately, I left feeling like I had barely eaten despite spending close to $50.
