    Mini chocolate Bundt cake
    Ben L.

Heard some good things about Shugah Hill Bakery and thought we would try it. Stopped into the store and right away there was a not so pleasant odor instead the store rather than the usual expected freshly baked goods smell. The store is nicely decorated. Not many selections to choose from on display. Chose a blueberry cake, a mini chocolate Bundt cake, oatmeal cookie and almond biscotti. The oatmeal cookie was a bit mushy and fell apart as I ate it and the flavor was a bit too sweet for my taste. The rest of the pastries were either tasteless or not enough of something. The texture of the Bundt cake was like a flourless cake, dry, dense and stale. The blueberry cake was also dry and stale. Will not be going back again.

Walked in for a pecan pie. Folks were friendly and helpful. Ambience was bright and open. The pecan pie was mostly custard with some pecans on top. Not what I was expecting and not worth the $42.80 i paid for it.

This bakery has a beautiful interior. The staff are friendly and helpful. I tried several items while I was there. I got the Blueberry Cake ,Pumpkin Sheet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting,Mini Key Lime Pie,Raspberry Almond Bar,Italian Anisette Cookie, Italian Lemon Cookie, Brownie, Americano and Almond shortbread. You can tell the attention to detail on these items. The Key Lime Pie was Sweet and tasty . Pumpkin Sheet Cake had a hint of Spice and sweetness. Brownie was delicious. They also have fresh ground coffee. Definitely worth a shot

I have been waiting to try this bakery out. It is finally open and there are many things to choose from. I picked up a key lime pie for a party and it was a hit. I also tried the gingerbread cookie and the almond cookies. Both were tasty and fresh. Although it was busy the service went quickly. It's a cute bakery and I'm looking forward to going back.

Absolutely amazing ladies , everything about this place as incredible . The owners are the nicest sweetest people I have ever met and this is the cutest bakery I've ever been to . So comfortable and they just make you feel at home . Go sit and drink coffee and a snack and have a chat .

I was surprised for my birthday with a Shugah Hill custom cake and it was the most spectacular cake I have ever had. On top of the cake being beautifully decorated - the taste was out of this world. The frosting and layers of cake were to die for, and everyone was quick to ask for seconds. I will only be buying my special occasion desserts from Shugah Hill from now on!

Totally pumped for Shagah Hill Bakery to open! MamaB and Marie's baked goods are killer! The Pies, Cakes, Italian Cookies, Brownies are all out of this world! Once you taste their stuff, you won't want to go anywhere else! CHOWIN!!

Shugah Hill Bakery has AMAZING cakes! I used Shugah Hill Bakery for my wedding cakes that served 225 people and everyone raved about the quality and taste. I highly recommend Shugah Hill bakery for all dessert needs but especially wedding cakes. THE BEST AROUND!

This new bakery is AMAZING! Get your baked goodies, coffee, and more. The two bakers, Mama B and Marie, are incredible at what they do, and the vibes are warm, welcoming, and relaxing. Check them out in Hanover! Highly recommend.

So excited that there's a authentic bakery this side of the South Shore! We had the carrot cake and it maybe the best I've ever had.

Cool ocean vibes inside, storefront selling surf stuff, beach wear, and lots of seating on main level, downstairs and outside. Everything was delicious, fresh ingredients, can't wait to go back again. The iced tea and maple coffee was excellent, both not too sweet. The avocado toast was amazing, fresh tomatoes etc, on big slices of sourdough. Sandwich of turkey sausage was so flavorful, lots going on all the flavors so good together. Reasonably priced too for the quality and quantity. The churro donut was ok/good, hoped to try something more decadent but they ran out of donuts at that point, only 2 left. Will have to go back earlier.

My absolute favorite is the Cinnabon, it comes with a cream cheese frosting dollop that is so good! Most recently I got to try the cinnamon coffee roll which is light and airy and has that same frosting which brings it all together. Flavorful and delicious! My friend and I usually get the southwestern sandwich but we add a soft boiled egg to it which brings the whole thing together for a yummy breakfast. I have also had the sausage egg and cheese on their homemade biscuits. Pro tip- ask for the biscuit to be heated it takes your breakfast sandwich go to the next level of goodness! The only reason I knocked a star is because their baked goods sell out so fast that I usually don't get to try any of the specials. I wish they made more to have them last the entire time they're open. I'm also not a coffee drinker and most of the drinks are coffee based so I do wish they had more non coffee drink options that isn't hot tea. Usually this place is packed with people at every table and lines to the door, the food is worth the wait though! Plus they have Louis Tomlinson playing over their radio here and there which earns them a gold star in my book!

VERY VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BREAKFAST. I was so hungry one Friday morning and I saw it out the corner of my eye on the way to the market. I had to circle around quite a few times before a parking spot opened up. I walked into the store on the lower level and the line was long and winding. I was craving just a bagel and was hoping it would be worth the wait. Well, the line went quickly and when I walked up to the register, I was BLOWN AWAY by the donuts and croissants and other pastries that I saw cooling on the bakers racks! The girl behind the register informed before my order that it would be at least a 15 minute wait. So, I ordered just the plain bagel I was craving with their "special" veggie cream cheese. It was ready and brought to me within 5 mins. LET ME TELL YOU! THIS BAGEL was the BEST BAGEL I've ever had!! I even have to admit that these were even slightly better than my own homemade sourdough bagels! It was so SO fresh and that "special" veggie cream cheese was next level! It was just a bagel with a little bit of wait, but slacktide has made an incredible impression on me. I can't wait to try some of their other breakfast offerings... sometime when the parking lot isn't so full (I've been watching and no such luck yet ). THIS PLACE IS WORTH THE HYPE! 5 STARS, ALL FACTORS WEIGHED!

Cute bar where you can turn your morning beverage into a cocktail. Also an outdoor eating area for nice days and a large, modern dining room, plenty of booths and seats. Since my favorite meal, as you may know by now, if you've been reading my reviews breakfast, then the idea that I can get breakfast all day here it's just another very attractive feature of this restaurant! I had a delicious fresh waffle with berry compote and blueberries and strawberries topped with whipped cream. It is served with what they call a house syrup, which is essentially a maple syrup wannabe. They offer the option of real maple syrup for an additional charge. I opted for the authentic item. The waffle was delicious flavorful and made even better because of the true maple syrup! The up charge was $1.75. I also had a very spicy bloody Mary, which is my favorite breakfast cocktail. It was served with a strip of crispy, maple bacon and was quite delicious. This place is not cheap, but nothing is inexpensive these days. The total meal cost $28.41 plus a 20% tip. I we'll go there again. I will try something from their lunch menu the next time and will of course review for all who read my reviews.

The menu includes a simple array of coffee (hot and cold), an array of bagels with a variety of cream cheese options (I'm told the bacon scallion is excellent), and some breakfast sandwich options. I decided to go breakfast burrito as that's usually my go to breakfast item when it's available, and an iced coffee. The iced coffee tasted great, but the burrito, which I immediately regrettably noticed after I ordered is made with microwaved eggs, was only ok, not the best. I'll definitely be back to get an iced coffee next time in the area, but will skip the breakfast sandwiches and go for the bagels. For anyone desiring a cooked breakfast/ breakfast sandwiches, I recommend going across the street to Doorknock, but for bagels and coffee this place is pretty solid. *Cash only*
