The fries were cold. I spent $50 for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks and 1 fry ... on the website it says free fries if spent $20; he claims he couldn't honor because I didn't do it online. The food was very tasty. I ordered the fried chicken wings.... It tastes home made like someone down south made it lol. The restaurant was clean and I like the way ambiance of it as well. Looks like a laid back type of environment like they have a live band there or something... or a dj. The customer service was really good as well. Didn't take long to fix my food at all. Prices on the board is not the real price. The previous owner advised that he is no longer the owner, bs. They mess up your order after repeating what you order. They refuse to give you a refund. The young lady that was working advised that she had no training. They service is worst than Comcast. To the previous owner they still have your name and the food taste the same. Used door dash for delivery and the food wasn't great. In addition my frozen lemonade was delivered uncovered and melted. Called and was told the cups with the big hole in the center is what they use and it can't be covered and there is a recall on the lemonade they use so they made it with the syrup used for snow cones. Tried to support this BOB. Initially steak sandwich I ordered with a few other coworkers, was good. It had everything I asked for including cheese. When I went by myself, I asked for a large steak & cheese with extra sauce & also cut in half. An older male, with saltnpepper hair, complained about me wanting it cut in half. He complained & I could hear him. He talked about how that was 2, 6". And how I was saving a dollar by ordering it that way. "We keep missing out on that dollar!" His exact words....all of this because I simply asked for it to be cut in half. So I ended up briefly having words with him. I heard the girl with the lashes, that works the register, say she was gonna talk to them about that. So when I actually looked real close at the menu, it was $6.99 & the large was $12.99. Even tho I was buying the large, he felt like I was getting over on them over $1. I left there angry. But ended up going back once for someone else & then because Popeyes was having an issue & they're literally next door. So I noticed they went up to 7.99 for a small. I won't patronize a business that will do this. It was done out of pettiness because a customer asked for a sandwich to be cut in half. This one can't be blamed on corona or anything. That guy was ready to explode. And then he drowned, I mean drowned my order in red sauce. If you're looking for a alright hoagie this is the place. Honestly though they could learn a thing or two from Taurus Flavors. If you're gonna use bread this thick you gotta slap on the meats can't be shy with that shit you can tell they rely a lot on the non meat toppings too fill things up. And they sell extra meat for 2$ I mean at least make sure the base sandwich has a generous amount of meat first before you start charging for extra meat. read more

The bread was so stale that the entire sandwich was completely inedible. A very negligible amount of meat and toppings on the stale bread made it even worse. Also got the steak sandwich which despite having bread that was covered with sauce could not break up the staleness of the bread. I had the worst experience at the Shuga Shack in University park il. I am a firm believer on patronizing for black businesses. I have eaten before never had a problem. Yesterday was the worst.
