I have been here two previous times, so 3rd time should have been a charm... Sorry...not at all. I had the Pad Thai my 1st visit and although the actual entree was as I expected... Chunks of chicken, tossed about shrimp and sprinkled chopped peanuts, I had to ask for limes and the dish was room temperature. My 2nd visit, General Tso chicken... The broccoli was even cooler room temp and again, my entree was room temperature. When I informed the server, he just repeated what I said... "My food is not hot"... "Food not Hot"... I came here late with a party of four. We were seated right away and we had a great time. My friends had been here a few times, but I had never been. We ate family style. We ordered the beef chow fun, the Szechuan beans, the taro pork, the sweet and sour fish, and the fried chicken with garlic. It was a lot of food, but it was delicious. The Taro pork we actually had never tried before (it was a yelp recommendation) and it was amazing! I definitely recommend, even if you're not usually a fan of taro, this is savory taro at it's best. The sweet and sour fish wasn't so great, my friends have had it before and they had the whole fish and it wasn't so breaded. They're not sure if they accidentally ordered the wrong thing this time, or if they just changed they way they made it, but this one wasn't so great. I was personally a fan of the beans, but my friends didn't care for it, they thought the sauce was too salty and too sweet. It wasn't the Szechuan style they were used to, but I loved them anyway. The fried chicken and the beef chow fun were great! Exactly what we needed. There is a LOT of garlic on the chicken, but it's okay! I ordered the Stir-Fried Filet Mignon. I am a heavy red meat eater and am accustomed to steak and filet cooked different ways. But the meat in this dish was either artificial meat, or heavily processed meat (the kind they use liquid meat product to mold into a meat shape to re-create meat). First time I came here It took a while to look through the menu but if you come in with a good idea of what you want (Pork, seafood, dessert etc) you can find what you're looking for easily. I can't believe I've never written a review for Siam Cafe before. I love Siam Cafe in AsiaTown. I've only eaten here once in-person, and it is small, super clean and with friendly service. I don't get out here as much as I'd like, but I've ordered delivery a few times here during the pandemic via local delivery services. The food is always packaged well and arrives like it was just made AND ahead of schedule. When I'm having a bad day, something about their food is just so, so comforting to me. For delivery, whenever my best friend is here, Siam Cafe is a no-brainer for us. We typically order the Stir-fried Vermicelli With Shrimp and Chicken (Singapore Style), Goicuo (shrimp rice paper rolls), and Pan Fried Pork Dumplings. We'll normally add in something else in but change it up each time. But, these are my favorite items that stand out to me! The Stir-fried Vermicelli With Shrimp and Chicken (Singapore Style) is sooooo satisfying to me. The thin Stir-fried Vermicelli noodles are perfectly seasoned so it has a bit of a kick to it - it needs nothing on it to be delicious. The veggies are huge and the entire portion is very generous. I typically eat 1/2 the next day. This dish is my own version of comfort food. The menu is absolutely huge, so you can quite literally find anything you are looking for or have a taste for, vegetarian or meat eater. I've been dining here for years. I brought in friends for a special occasion. We drove many miles for this dinner. I was very embarrassed with the waiter's behavior. He rarely spoke, grunted several times, no eye contact, brought one meal out, then we waited & waited for the other meals. We needed to ask for everything... People in my party even said "Is it me or is the server rude". I was embarrassed that I brought the group to Siam. We were extremely polite to him. What's up? This is definitely one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in the cleveland area. Their specialty is seafood and I have to say the seafood dish we got was incredibly good! I would say they have a pretty good variety of foods from different areas of China, but their northern Chinese dishes really shine through. That is not to say their other dishes such as pad thai weren't equally as delicious. This was our first time here and we were thoroughly impressed with the selection and authenticity of this place. I can't believe that this is the first time I've been to this gem (thanks, Yelp, for pointing in this direction!). Siam Cafe is an absolute must go to. Started with the goi cuon, very fresh and with a delicious sauce to dip in. The jewel of the crown though is the Peking duck, which is worth a drive from many miles away, you won't regret it! The duck is served in pieces, already set up in individual bao buns, and it's out of this world - succulent on the inside, crispy on the outside, with a delicious tiny bit of sauce that is not overwhelming, and the necessary amount of greens to pair it with as well - heaven! You can pair your food with a good selection of beverages, that include beers and teas (including bubble tea), and even the desserts are good - unexpected choice for the location, but their tiramisu is very very good. read more

This place has been bookmarked for me to try for a while. One week prior, we placed an order at a nearby Chinese restaurant and somehow I accidentally ended up here attempting to pick up my order. Seeing the packed dining room solidified this place as a priority. Before entering the restaurant, ask yourself how many times have you driven by without giving this place a fair shot. The building is definitely a Cleveland staple. As you walk in, the place has a very modern and clean decor. The interior definitely makes you feel warm and invited. The menu is very vast and has way too many options to choose from. I decided to go with a very basic base line to get a decent feel for the restaurant. I chose general tso chicken. Immediately I could tell the choice of ingredients were of a higher standard; however, the expected heat was absent. The white rice was cooked to a sticky perfection and was perfect for using chopsticks. The broccoli was steamed to a perfect temperature and consistency. As for the drink menu, there weren't many advertised options. However there were several different types of sake and several imported beers to choose from. Overall, I'll definitely make a return trip to venture deeper into the menu and continue to explore the quality of their cuisine. Definitely recommend if you haven't ventured here yet. read more
