Delicious dishes to choose from. The place is a bit small but can accommodate some large parties. The service is very friendly. Would definitely return!!

Left- Seafood with Pan Fried Noodle Right- Salted Baked Crispy Fried Calamari

I am a huge fan of Wonton Gourmet and honestly, there has never been anything bad in my years of supporting this local small business. Tonight we ordered the Seafood Pan Fried Noodles and Salt Baked Calamari. The seafood noodles had a thick sauce on top, and had a mixture of both soft and crispy parts. There was a variety of seafood loaded on top, including shrimp, scallop, squid, imitation crabmeat, along with some mixed greens. I love ordering this dish!! $17.95 The Salt Baked Calamari was nicely salted with a touch of heat, but not so much heat that you can't enjoy! The calamari was cooked perfectly and was not chewy at all. For those who don't love heat, you can always eat it with the white rice which accompanies it to kill the heat. So tasty!! $14.50

One of my favorite Chinese spots in Cleveland. The food comes out fast, prices are reasonable, easy parking, picture of all the food on the wall and so many delicious items to choose from. Service was timely and friendly. Literally no complaints at all

Here's an updated review, it's been awhile. I was sanding floors at one of my properties in the area. I needed my son to help me carry the sander down the steps. Then i said let's go to wonton gourmet for lunch. We walk in and a guy was taking a fish out of the tank, Im guessing to be cooked. My son was curious about the picture menu on the wall with the pics taken at least 15 years ago. He opted for the chicken fried nice and sesame chicken. I got the pepper steak lunch special. Food came out fast. His chicken was like sweet and sour with a soy sauce heavy fried rice and an egg roll. And the chicken fried rice had that signature authentic taste. My pepper steak was a good sized portion and cooked well with a beef sauce that went great with the fried rice. We shared and tested all the food. It was authentic and fantastic. The waitress was nice and took great care of us. The bathroom was nice and clean. Stay tined for my update in about 10 years, maybe sooner because i'll be back for sure.

We were visiting Cleveland and chose this place after reading reviews of all the places in the area and looking at the menu. The building looked a little disheveled, and the food pictures on the wall were faded, but the menu had lots of variety. The tables and chairs were more on the level of diner level. The waitress immediately told us we could sit anywhere and quickly got us some water and menus. We chose the Szechuan eggplant with beef, dry stir fried green beans with pork, mushu pork, and potstickers. The price was good, food cooked well, and the portions were huge. The green bean and eggplant portions are twice the size of what we get at our local restaurants. The Mushu pork about 50% bigger. They forgot to bring out the pancakes and hoisin sauce, but I ate the other food as I waited for them. For two people, we ended up having over half left of all the entrees and got doggy bags for them. So overall, the food quality and portions were excellent. The ambience, which was the least important to me, was decent.

The atmosphere of this restaurant was like being transported to a tiny restaurant spot in Shanghai, Beijing, or Hong Kong. I was with my sister when we ate here for the first time. We both thought it was amazing! Only locals were inside, there were pictures of the dishes on the wall in which I loved! When we arrived the parking lot was very easy to find. The restaurant was PACKED! ( That is a very good thing ). The hostess immediately greeted us and then sat us down. Once we sat down our waitress came over to set our table up, give us water, and give us our menu's. We took our time looking at all the dishes they had. Everything looked so so good and it was hard for my sister and I to decide. We knew ahead of time that we'd be sharing the dishes and that normally at authentic Chinese or Szechuan restaurants we know they give large portions . We decided to get the Cumin Beef, Shrimp Wonton Egg Noodle Soup and Garlic Mini Bok Choi and they give you a huge bowl of rice to share with the table. For drinks they offer chinese herbal tea and water and soda too. We also decided to get the herbal tea and it was so yummy! Our food took maybe 30 minutes to come out but we were totally okay with that because we knew that the cooks were taking their time and making everything by hand and from scratch. This restaurant is as authentic as you can get in Cleveland. All the dumplings and wontons and some noodles are made in house including their broths for the soups. My sister and I absolutely loved the food. It was amazing! The portions were big and we could tell the cooks took their time. The flavors were just so unique and delicious! The Cumin Beef we got it spicy and they did not disappoint it was so yummy. It tasted like Cumin spices and beef it was very simple but very very good! Now the Shrimp Wonton Egg Noodle Soup was DELICIOUS! The wontons were huge and the noodles were cooked perfectly, it was a tiny bit fishy but nothing overwhelming at all. It was delicious and light! The Garlic Mini Bok Choi now this was just delicious! I loved this a lot because it was something different and it is very good for you! I already love Bok Choi so the garlic and spices they put on them was really good! Overall, if i could give this restaurant a 20 out of 10 i would! We will 100% be returning for another delicious meal! I had so much fun eating our food and drinking the tea and listening to chinese music! It truly felt like we were overseas! I can't wait to go back! YOU NEED TO GO!

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Asia town! I ordered the lo mein, thousand year egg congee, and house potstickers! All were fantastic! My favorite was definitely the pot stickers because they had a nice crisp on the outside. This is also one of the best chicken lo miens I've had since the chicken was actually juicy! The service was really fast. The ambiance was casual. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes since their menu was expansive!

If you haven't been to Asia Town in Cleveland, I would highly recommend. It is close to downtown Cleveland and have a wide range of Asian restaurant and shop. It will be a good day trip up to Cleveland and explore around. I recently went to the Cleveland Asian Festival and totally had a blast. Before heading home, I stopped in Wonton Gourmet & BBQ to grab a bite. If you don't know what to order, just look up at the wall. They have most of their menu item picture on the wall. They are fairly busy, but the food came out pretty fast. I got Braised Fish/Diced Chicken & Eggplant in Hot Pot and a Beef Chow Fun. Both taste decent.

This has to be the best service I have ever received from a traditional chinese restaurant. The ladies here were so kind and food came out so fast. Everything we ordered were so yummy and flavorful. I highlighy recommend this place, they even moved tables for us just to sit comfortably since the place is not that big. Love the photos all over the wall, it really helped us picking our entrees!

Food is always good. This is my go to restaurant when I want real Chinese food. I eat here once every 2 weeks for about 2 years now. Food is so good I keep coming back. I've never been disappointed. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. Plain and simple good food at a reasonable price. The place is not fancy but food is what I go for here. Since I'm here so much, I find the entire staff friendly and helpful.

We ordered beers and as luck would have it, I was able to order their last available rack of ribs for the evening (my go-to barbecue item)! We also got some beef brisket and a few sides to share. Overall the meats were tasty, but there were a few issues with the meal. The ribs had a nice dry rub seasoning on them and were quite tender. The brisket also had a good bark, but was a tad dry. In terms of available sauces, the Kansas City sauce was thick and tangy, but the Proof sauce was not good at all...I just could not put my finger on what about it I didn't like n its flavor profile. The coleslaw was shredded with vinegar and quite dry, the mac-n-cheese was only semi-gooey and the fries (although tasty) were limp from being undercooked. Bottom line was thumbs up on the meats and thumbs sideways (or down) on the sides. Wil most certainly give them another try as I am a BBQ junky, hoping the outcomes are slightly better.

I understand not wanting to waste food but... if you're out of food by 30min past your opening time then you're doing something seriously wrong. My order is still not out. This is barbecue. It has been 1 hour and I am only one of three parties at tables. The waitress is incredibly nice but can't make up for ungodly slow service. When my food finally came out over an hour later, they literally brought 2 items out of maybe 10 I ordered. Everything else they were out of an hour after I ordered, 5 minutes after opening. HOW does this happen??? I didn't have to pay for my single ribeye and Mac and cheese which is the only somewhat not negative factor but I didn't get anything else I ordered either. Pretty beyond disappointed. I was incredibly calm and polite, even asking how I can prevent this in the future. Zero suggestions from waitress or manager who aggressively grabbed the receipt off the table and went elsewhere in tears. I gather somehow this was a really bad day for them? But I have no idea how I don't get screwed in the future either when I rsvp'd. Maybe I'll have to try to go by phone next time and ask if they're sure they have everything. The Mac n cheese thank god was tasty. Garlicky flavor throughout. The ribeye was big and heavy but god it was tough.
