When I was downtown recently, I decided to get lunch here since I hadn't been for a while. I'm glad to say that the food here is still great. Just like I remembered, it wasn't very busy when I walked in. This place mostly seems to do takeout orders, though in my opinion, the restaurant has a pretty nice and classy ambiance. I ordered the grilled grape leaf beef rolls ($12), vermicelli bowl with shrimp & charbroiled pork & spring roll ($16), and fried bananas a la mode ($12). The grape leaf rolls were smaller than I expected, but they were delicious. I liked the lemongrass in the minced beef, and I appreciated the rice noodle salad with veggies. It came with a cup of fish sauce, which I doused the noodles and veggies with. The vermicelli bowl was excellent and filling. It came with plenty of noodles, veggies like bean sprouts & cucumbers & carrots & daikon, chopped peanuts, 2 shrimp, a good portion of charbroiled pork, a chopped up pork spring roll, and a cup of fish sauce on the side. I especially loved the pork. It was flavorful and juicy. And the fried bananas were just as scrumptious as I remembered. Hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, sweet. The green tea ice cream was just OK (too icy for me), but the fried bananas were delicious. The service was a tad slow, but I wasn't in a rush, so I didn't mind. The staff was friendly. read more

Came here with family recently and had a good experience. It wasn't busy so we were seated immediately but the food still took a while to come. The service was friendly and attentive though, no complaints. The inside was a little outdated for the most famous food street in CLE, but still clean and comfortable. The Vietnamese crepe was decent, tons of bean sprouts inside. I got the chicken vermicelli and it was delicious! Big portion size. Same with the spicy lemongrass soup, very tasty, warm, filling, big portions. Would recommend the soup to anyone. Prices were reasonable. I was in downtown Cleveland for a conference, found this place because I was looking for an asian food restaurant. I was so surprised and amazed by how good their food is, I didn't have a very high expectation because I have had really good Vietnamese food. But omg this place blew me away, especially their Bún bò Huế(spicy lemongrass soup) and pork egg roll, very nice and original. Not to mention they have really good service too! I had the H1, chicken soup which was actually Pho but maybe they called it chicken soup because Americans can't pronounce Pho right ;-) The service was fast, and the food was delicious. This was quite the first meal to get in Ohio, coming from California. Landing in Ohio, I was craving some food that I'm used to, so I went to find the closest Vietnamese restaurant. Luckily, we were able to get seated right away, and had our orders taken quickly. We ordered the egg rolls, combo pho, and bun thit nuong (vermicelli). The prices were similar to California, but unfortunately, the portioning was really quite small. The egg rolls came with only 2 ??? I had to stop my mouth from opening in shock when they first brought it out. The taste was good though, but definitely not worth to get at that price point. The pho was a bit bland. The bun thit nuong was standard, except for the sizing. It also took them a long time to get me another cup of nuoc mam. I enjoyed sitting outdoors, where the street was busy with people. The weather was great, though there is also indoor seating for those that prefer that! Not sure what the interior is like, but the outdoor seating was lovely. Service was not bad, but I don't think I'll be back just because of the lack of value for the price. read more

The FOOD is is good but not great. I like to grab few appetizers and few main dishes to share and that's what we got. Crispy spring rolls and summer rolls were ok. Charbroiled a primo Bun was lacking flavor. Beef Bun Xao had good smoky flavor and it was my favorite Service was good but they do add 20% gratitude to the bill without any notice. I am not saying that it's too much for great service. But 20% mandatory tip for mediocre service is too much. Our server brought us two rounds of beers, few dishes of food and never made it back to check up on our table. So in my opinion tacking on 20% is RIDICULOUS. read more

Very fast, very pleasant service with delicious food. If you happen to be wandering past, stop in! It was quiet, calm, and friendly. Most menu items looked like they had vegetarian options (potentially could be made vegan as well?). Great space, great location. Fresh ingredients, light and refreshing options. This was my first time at this restaurant. I was a part of a big party and I was able to sample different appetizers. The lettuce wraps and the grape leaf that was filled with meat and spices was very tasty. My entree was so salty. I asked about the sauce and was told it was a barbecue type sauce. When it arrived, the sauce was a salty gravy that I had to doctor up to make edible. The staff was mostly attentive but two people returned their dishes and asked to get a replacement. Our server never returned to take their replacement order so they just sat and watched us eat. I might try them again again but only if I am already downtown. I tried a new entree during my most recent visit and it was really tasteful; I had the curry noodles dish with beef. However, I do wish that the dish was a tad bit more spicy. I came here for a quick dinner with a friend before we saw another friend of ours perform downtown. Upon arrival, we realized there was a Cavs game because downtown was packed. The restaurant filled up, but service was quick and friendly. The owner and his wife were very active in the dining room, checking up on customers and helping to clear tables and bring out food. My friend and I both ordered the bún vermicelli; a bowl with thin rice noodles, bean sprouts, chopped lettuce, picked carrot/daikon, sliced cucumbers, a sweet house vinaigrette, and your choice of protein/tofu/spring rolls. I ordered mine with the veggie spring rolls, my friend ordered his with the charbroiled pork. I was blown away by how delicious and flavorful this dish was. The portions were big, and although I usually box up a good part of my meal, I finished this in record time. I even ordered the same dish to-go so I could have it the next day. Great service, very affordable, amazing authentic Vietnamese cuisine...I would highly recommend and can't wait to go again to try more of the menu. Oh and they validate parking if you use the E 4th valet service. I paid 50$ cash to park due to the Cavs game. But with my validated ticket, I was refunded 40$ when I picked up my car! read more

However, I did notice a constant stream of patrons coming in to pick up their take out orders. Randomly Found this spot on east 4th in Cleveland and I'm very happy to have found it. I I was craving homemade food on a cold night and I got it. The crispy pork rolls were amazing, I dare to say one of the best I've ever had. I also had the Pho, I wish it was a bit more flavorful but overall satisfied me. As a solo diner, I expect that I won't be served last as bigger tables come in. With less than 15 diners in the full-service restaurant, I don't think it should take 50 minutes to receive my food. When I've been here with my boyfriend, the service has been amazing, and further evidence that solo diners aren't valued. read more
