The service was friendly and attentive though, no complaints. The inside was a little outdated for the most famous food street in CLE, but still clean and comfortable. The Vietnamese crepe was decent, tons of bean sprouts inside. I got the chicken vermicelli and it was delicious! Big portion size. This was quite the first meal to get in Ohio, coming from California. Landing in Ohio, I was craving some food that I'm used to, so I went to find the closest Vietnamese restaurant. Luckily, we were able to get seated right away, and had our orders taken quickly. We ordered the egg rolls, combo pho, and bun thit nuong (vermicelli). The prices were similar to California, but unfortunately, the portioning was really quite small. The egg rolls came with only 2 ??? I had to stop my mouth from opening in shock when they first brought it out. The taste was good though, but definitely not worth to get at that price point. The pho was a bit bland. The bun thit nuong was standard, except for the sizing. It also took them a long time to get me another cup of nuoc mam. I enjoyed sitting outdoors, where the street was busy with people. The weather was great, though there is also indoor seating for those that prefer that! Not sure what the interior is like, but the outdoor seating was lovely. Service was not bad, but I don't think I'll be back just because of the lack of value for the price. read more

Charbroiled a primo Bun was lacking flavor. Beef Bun Xao had good smoky flavor and it was my favorite Service was good but they do add 20% gratitude to the bill without any notice. I am not saying that it's too much for great service. But 20% mandatory tip for mediocre service is too much. This was my first time at this restaurant. I was a part of a big party and I was able to sample different appetizers. The lettuce wraps and the grape leaf that was filled with meat and spices was very tasty. My entree was so salty. I asked about the sauce and was told it was a barbecue type sauce. When it arrived, the sauce was a salty gravy that I had to doctor up to make edible. The staff was mostly attentive but two people returned their dishes and asked to get a replacement. Our server never returned to take their replacement order so they just sat and watched us eat. I might try them again again but only if I am already downtown. I came here for a quick dinner with a friend before we saw another friend of ours perform downtown. Upon arrival, we realized there was a Cavs game because downtown was packed. The restaurant filled up, but service was quick and friendly. The owner and his wife were very active in the dining room, checking up on customers and helping to clear tables and bring out food. My friend and I both ordered the bún vermicelli; a bowl with thin rice noodles, bean sprouts, chopped lettuce, picked carrot/daikon, sliced cucumbers, a sweet house vinaigrette, and your choice of protein/tofu/spring rolls. I ordered mine with the veggie spring rolls, my friend ordered his with the charbroiled pork. I was blown away by how delicious and flavorful this dish was. The portions were big, and although I usually box up a good part of my meal, I finished this in record time. I even ordered the same dish to-go so I could have it the next day. Great service, very affordable, amazing authentic Vietnamese cuisine...I would highly recommend and can't wait to go again to try more of the menu. I tried a new entree during my most recent visit and it was really tasteful; I had the curry noodles dish with beef. However, I do wish that the dish was a tad bit more spicy. Randomly Found this spot on east 4th in Cleveland and I'm very happy to have found it. I I was craving homemade food on a cold night and I got it. The crispy pork rolls were amazing, I dare to say one of the best I've ever had. I also had the Pho, I wish it was a bit more flavorful but overall satisfied me. This was our 2nd visit and we were hoping to have a better experience by trying different options. Both times we have been there, we have had really bland food. There was no flavor at all on any of the entrees, as the meat tastes as though it has been boiled and had no seasoning added at all. This visit we ordered crispy shrimp and pork spring rolls for appetizers. The shrimp and sauce it came with were good. The spring rolls were cooked a long time and tasted like burnt/fried shell instead of fresh spring roll. We decided to split a few meals. I asked the server to recommend the most spicy or flavorful meals as we really wanted something not bland. He recommended the fried rice with shrimp chicken and pork, as well as the lemongrass chicken. We were very disappointed as both were not flavorful at all. When we eat at other Thai or Vietnamese restaurants we are asked if we want mild, medium or hot spices on our meals. This place does not offer that option. I asked our server if he could bring some mixes/spices to help add flavor to our meal, and he brought out an industrial sized bottle of Sriracha sauce. It helped, but not what we were expecting. We should not have to drown our food in sriracha to give it taste. We will probably search out other places in the future. read more

I came here for lunch on a Tuesday and I was surprised that it was packed! It was really busy during lunch time on a Tuesday. I'm assuming that this is a typical lunch spot for people working in the downtown area. I'm originally from Toronto so I was very excited and hopeful to try some good Vietnamese food in Cleveland. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue because that's always my go-to to determine if a Viet place is authentic or not. The flavour was AMAZING. The broth was very hearty and flavourful. Perfect balance of spiciness and sweetness from the lemongrass. The broth might be one of the best Bun Bo Hue broths I've had. The only reason why this is a 3-star review is because of the toppings and portion sizes. I'm not sure if they cut back on portion and toppings because of COVID (they had a disclaimer on the menu), but the noodles barely filled up half the bowl and the toppings was only about 6 small slices of raw beef. Bun Bo Hue usually has many different toppings like Vietnamese ham, pork jello, and beef. The shrimp rolls I had were ok. It's nothing more than shrimp rolled inside an egg wrapper then fried. No other fillings inside of it. If it weren't for the dipping sauce, the shrimp rolls would have had no taste. I wouldn't recommend paying $6 for this dish. read more

Had dinner at this spot a couple of times the same week cause needed to get my fix!! On Tuesday evening, a young guy took care of me. I noticed he was at the bar eating a bowl of something, probably Pho. He came over my table took my order, then while my order was being prepared, he kept eating including a banana. Then my order was ready, he brought it and served it. Long story short, the waiter didn't wash his hands during all that time. Don't think that is hygienic or even allowed. In addition I told him extra Jalapeños cause I like very spicy soup....however no extra jalapeños. Thursday evening I returned, but a waitress took care of me and was a much better experience than they Tuesday waiter. Regarding the food, it was delicious!!
