I wanted to like this guy, and his service, but I do not, and I cannot recommend him. He arrived on time, and he attempted to fix the problem with my washing machine. He did not fix the problem, but still charged me $250 for the visit, and for the part. I texted him several times over the course of two weeks - no response. I called him on the phone three times (went to VM) to attempt a resolution, at least a refund on the part that did not fix the problem, which he could have easily returned and credited to me - absolutely no response. His business card states clearly, in print: "If I don't fix it, you don't pay for it" That did not happen, and that is a false promise. He did not fix the problem, yet I still paid for the service. I was really reluctant to write this, as I had a good experience with Larry the first time, and I always want to believe that people deserve grace if they're going through a hard time. But no matter how hard things are for me personally, I've never treated a client this way. And I do rely on these reviews to decide who I should work with, so I want to pay that forward. So: I was going to write out the whole long saga, but not sure that's helpful. The tl/dr is that he got really angry with me when I asked any questions, repeatedly said that it doesn't make sense to put the washer in an enclosed space (I am not the architect of this building, I did not choose where the hookups are), and got really annoyed that he had to pull it out of there, even though I told him beforehand. He acted extremely frustrated the entire time he was working on it - apparently I was annoying him when I asked questions or when I pointed out that the part number he found was different from the one that the manufacturer's website said. He wouldn't even look at the site when I pulled it up. He got so frustrated with me that I finally said "why are you so mad at me?" He did not test the machine before he left. I even asked him if we should test it to make sure it was still working, and he said no. It wasn't working, and when I called him, he got REALLY defensive. He said, I've been in business for however long and I don't lie and I don't cheat. You're saying I did something wrong, this and that. I didn't say anything like that. Please keep in mind he was the only person in this exchange being rude and snippy. I really like Larry, and while he was here he gave me advice about my fridge, which he wasn't there to fix. I think he's really good at his job, but I just can't be spoken to that way and have every interaction be an argument. read more

Ooph. I would not recommend this gentleman -- Larry no-showed altogether! We made an appointment the day before for a repair between 12pm-3pm the day following. That day came, I got a text from him at 10am to confirm... and then, poof! Gone. The guy never showed up, and what's worse, he never called or texted to cancel. He had to wrestle with my stackable on a stepladder, disassemble in a tight space, order the parts for pickup the next day, and discover that the 14 year old motor/blower was frozen in place, un-extractable and order a separate part after dremmeling out.
