Basically, its one narrow room with a bar running down the right side, and a little alcove in the back left that leads to a miniscule back patio area. What it lacks in space, however, it makes up for in atmosphere. People pack in here, either watching a game, listening to music on the house speakers or, on occasion, live music. Not for the claustrophobic, but a good place to be seen starting or ending your evening.

Parking was plentiful! Service was slow, but they were down about 4 staff members so there was literally only one person taking orders, preparing and serving the food, so we completely understood. And plus the service was great so it definitely made up for it! They paired the girl scout cookies with the wine and had us score the pairing. The host was very engaging and gave us a description and origin of each wine that was selected. I've neve experienced anything like this, it was so engaging and well orchestrated. They had a small menu of items that you could order for small bites. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip which was really yummy! And the garlic Parmesean wings, the wings had a bit of a kick to them and were a bit too salty for my liking, but they were cooked well and very meaty, if you like that sort thing! They also had 5 dollar drinks/cocktails available to order a well. The entire time they had a DJ playing all the hits and after the wine tasting, people got up and danced, laughed and had a good Ole time on the dance floor. It was such a great experience! I'm really sad that our community didn't show up enough to save this gem, I hate to see spaces like this go. But, I'm wishing the owners much success and blessings. Their closing day is March 14th 2026 and they are going to have a celebration, go out and support them!

Despite having reservations, the arrival and seating process felt disorganized. Our server was very friendly and sweet, but she was also somewhat aloof, rarely checked on us, and didn't seem particularly knowledgeable about the kitchen or menu. She mentioned at least five times that they had a new chef and that the menu had become "eclectic." In retrospect, that should have been a warning. Unfortunately, we did not have a single item of food that we would order again. At this price point, that is unacceptable--especially when outstanding premium restaurants such as Seaboy are literally just down the road. We started with a fried rice-ball appetizer and a mozzarella plate. Both desperately needed seasoning and were surprisingly bland. My Caesar salad was tiny, limp, and somehow almost entirely flavorless. My wife ordered a fried game-bird entrée--quail, if I remember correctly. I can't say exactly what went wrong in the kitchen, but the coating had the stale-oil flavor of McDonald's fries discovered three months too late. The accompanying sauce was murky, visually unappealing, and did absolutely nothing to rescue the dish. I love fried chicken, and even I couldn't eat hers. When our server cleared the plate, approximately 95% of the entrée was still sitting there. The server asked if my wife didn't like it, and she commented that it was not very good and explained why, yet they did not offer to make any changes or even discount that part of the bill which felt like a significant missed opportunity to address an obviously unsuccessful dish. I ordered the trout. Even allowing for the smaller portions common at upscale restaurants, it was one of the smallest entrées I have ever been served. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver enough flavor or refinement to make up for its size. By the time dessert was offered, we had no interest in spending more money after being disappointed by the appetizers, salads, and entrées. The beautiful historic home, atmosphere, and front-porch dining remain fantastic. Sadly, the food and overall experience no longer lived up to that wonderful setting. Our first visit was mind-blowing. This visit ensured that we won't return. Unless a massive sign appears out front announcing new management, a new chef, new staff, and an entirely new everything, we will spend our future anniversary dinners elsewhere. To those about to nosh, you have been warned.

Firstly there was a manager on duty there who had a bottle of beer in his hand the entire time we were there, but the worst of it was that I saw a customer who had an obvious disability stand beside the reception desk for a considerable length of time and was ignored by the receptionist, who I saw show people who were behind him to a table and totally ignore him, like he was invisible. That was bad enough but then the "manager" with beer in hand was standing beside him and did the same thing. It turned out he only wanted a milkshake which was finally served to him by a passing waitress. This is unacceptable behavior. I understand it was busy but this happened just after the game was over and people were leaving. You need to do better.

The smell of cigarette smoke overtakes the whole experience. Next are the racist regulars. Just in our short visit we heard the N word at least 17 times. Next are the drama lovers. A few women there seemed to thrive off of starting drama even with very few patrons there. We get it, it's a bar, it's a pool hall, it's a hole in the wall. There were a couple nice people there but the clientele were just not very representative of what the town of Kannapolis is thriving to be.
