This is a follow up review. I've read almost every Qigong book out there, watched all the youtubes,…read moreand have learned Qigong from multiple instructors in group classes. These all had some benefit, mostly relaxation. But none of these teachings offered me a true sense of Qi cultivation and most importantly actual noticeable health benefits. Asthma, anxiety attacks and back problems are no longer issues Im plagued with. Since learning Nei Dan meditation from Mindful Qigong. The thing that I did not realize is Qigong is a way of life not just a tool. What separates Mindful Qigong is it's a lineage based teaching. That teaches all aspects of the Dao, Qigong, philosophy, TCM, tea ceremony.... in private classes. This allowed me to understand the subtleties of the teaching in a way I could incorporate in my daily life. Leading to substantial results. Mindful Qigong focuses on cultivating your Qi internally and has little to do with breathing exercises or complicated movements. Honestly some of the techniques I thought were weird in the beginning. But that had more to do with my expectations of what Qigong was from my previous experience. As well as a lack of understanding of the basic fundamentals of real Qigong and TCM. Thankfully I stuck with it over the years. Just like anything really worth doing it takes time and energy. My life is much smoother, healthier and happier. Im truly grateful.

I'm very grateful to have found Qigong. I have been a "traditional" meditator for many years…read more After only a few months at Mindful QiGong my practice has expanded in ways I didn't think possible. I highly recommend this practice.

I've had such a wonderful experience with Lotus Garden…read more I first started attending Gentle Yoga classes after a softball injury. The injury caused lower back issues and sciatica on the left side of my body. I couldn't walk for a month and a half and had to use a cane for 4-5 months thereafter. Lotus Garden has such a very intimate setting with instructors that are kind, knowledgeable and challenging. They have extra equipment on hand for newbies just learning yoga practices with a $15 drop-in fee. This place healed me and I am so grateful. I am no longer walking with a cane and my body is becoming stronger from the inside out. I now try to go 5 days a week and I'm looking forward to learning how to meditate through their free meditation classes.

Personally, I've studied yoga for about 15 years, primarily on what might be called "ashtanga" (8-fold path), and only recently have encountered a legit school of bhakti yoga. For me, bhakti is just such a direct path to my aims in ashtanga, that it's becoming obvious to me it's a "smart" investment of time. Lotus Garden is as SOLID an atmosphere for yoga as I could have possibly hoped (and honestly, way beyond my hopes!). I don't "push" this stuff, but most people would be wise to come!

During our lesson lovely music played in the background I followed his instructions and movements. The large mirror in the dance studio helps so you can mirror his moves. His teaching methods are great for all types of practitioners, from the very beginners to the very advanced -- as well as all types of fitness levels and abilities. At the intermediate level you start learning weapons and forms, but nothing is taught without a complimentary practical application soon to follow. It's a very versatile and wholistic system. If you're taking the online classes, Sifu Tav engages with you through the screen, makes personalized corrections, and has been building up a library of fantastic instructional videos that are easy to follow.
