We like Sierra bicentennial park because of all the shade!!!! And they have the two playground areas. One for smaller kids and one for larger kiddos. The best part is the one for little kiddos is all covered by tree cover. It's entirely shaded-the swings the slide all of it!! No other park has that! Lol. Plus The huge amount of swings, and the wide open space for toddlers to run. There is lots of parking, and lots of people around. Haven't used their batting cages, dog park or restrooms yet, but we see others using them constantly. There are also quite a bit of picnic shelters here. Great for parties! read more

The park is huge and has tons of space for all activities whether you are an adult or kid or dog. However with the dog park, people do not follow the rules for the small dogs and big dogs. People have left their dogs unattended in there and also mix the big dogs with the little dog side. People should listen to the rules and guidelines as it protects the safety of everyone animals! Honestly this is a great park, it's on Sunnyside Ave. in between Herndon and Sierra . It has a little of everything you would want to do from soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball, playground, dog park, and open walking area. The covered picnic areas are nice, they have to smaller covered table areas and one big one that is really pretty with ivy covering the whole top. There is also a batting cage, I got a picture of times and prices but not sure how recent the posting is. The playground itself isn't bad and still in ok condition. read more

Very nice park with plenty of things for children to entertain themselves. Soft solid padding under full playground.

We have come to this park for various reasons, sometimes we come and we hit the balls at the baseball ring thing. Then we have come to use the basketball courts. I used to watch the Rugby team play in the grass fields as well in college. Now I come for the playgrounds with the little. I like that they have a couple, so if we get bored of one, we walk over to the other. Also on the other side down a walk way, there are different climbing rocks, which I didn't know of before, and those were great! My kid loved them, did each one. also the sandy volleyball courts are pretty neat too, the hubs and I talked about how to get reservations for that, so we could come with a group of friends and play and have the playgrounds near by and bathrooms, so overall we enjoyed this park a lot, lots to do in this space. Oh and a dog park, too, so totally worth a visit or two. read more

I almost missed the entrance to this park. I'm not sure if there was more than 1 though. Keep your eyes peeled if you've never been here. Today was my first time here and the kids loved it. There are 2 or 3 playgrounds at this park with slides, monkey bars and swings. Pros: there are batting cages though I am not sure when they are open. There are plenty of playgrounds and a few basketball courts. They also have a few courts in the sand for volleyball. The things that interested me so much is the free library stand they have near the restrooms and the big kids playground. Such an awesome concept though it looks like not too many people take advantage of it. You take a book and leave a book. No need to bring it back if you want to keep it or pass it along. I had never seen anything like that before and I was SO intrigued by it. I'm a book lover. Cons: the only bathroom that was open was for men and there was a STRONG urine smell. It was gross. Also, the wood chips in the playground doesn't make way for bare feet. You know kids love to run bare foot. You can't really do that here. Also, the police were there for a while to check on some suspicious characters. that is both a pro and a con. glad the police were there but not happy about those kind of people in a park where kids play. but it's a public place so *shrug* read more

Cool park. Good atmosphere. But needs to take better care of the baseball diamonds. I sprained my ankle badly on them. The potholes around all bases need to be fixed badly. I was lucky with just this injury. read more

This is a nice, clean park. I went to take a walk there. There were two restroom buildings. The lights in the Women's room were not on, or were inoperable. The bathrooms weren't that clean but at least it had running toilets and tap water. Took some pics of what I saw while there. Not sure I will visit again. It's more for people with small kids, dogs, or there to practice in the batting cage, or play soccer. read more

This park has been around since I was an infant. I remember that it felt as though it had fell into disrepair for a time & I stopped going. However, it's an awesome place to go now. It's clean & it's been around long enough to have large beautiful trees for shade. People are friendly & there's now a small dog park where dogs can run free. They have 2 areas: 1 for smaller dogs & 1 for larger dogs. There's a water fountain immediately outside of the dog park area for dogs to get water as well as a water bowl in the large dog portion (no water bowl in the small dog portion). The best part? The cost is free. The only small issue I had was with this guy letting his huge dog be a bully to my smaller 50-lb-ish PitBull. The guy said, "Let them work it out. They always seem to" in response to his dog growling and becoming aggressive with mine. After the 3rd time this happened, I simply went to the smaller dog portion since there were no another dogs there. People need to understand: dogs are animals who act on instinct. Dogs should not & cannot be expected to work it out. When a dog acts out, owners must take responsibility & let their dog know right away that their behavior is unacceptable. read more

I live right at the end of Fresno and beginning of Clovis so I usually only go to parks and stores in Clovis. I have to say this is my favorite park to bring my dog. It is not a dog park, but a lot of people walk their dogs here because it is a fairly big park in a nice area of town, it has a batting cage, a horse run, a huge baseball/soccer field, a beach volleyball court, it has shade and it has a lot of parking spaces, 2 playgrounds, clean bathrooms for a park and a couple of Gazebos. There is no charge for entry. Another thing I love about this park is that there is a little library for kids and even adults. You grab a book and leave a book. I think I will be going to Goodwill so I can come back to leave a couple of kids' books. The only time I ever encountered a problem here was when a girl got upset that my dog was sniffing grass around her and she believed that my dog was pooping and peeing on the grass next to her even though I had his bag of poop in my hands. I confronted her, she told me that my dog was diseased to which I told her I take care of my dog better than she takes care of her daughter since she was letting her daughter run around in a public park barefoot. If you go to a public park, you better expect there to be dogs and you better believe that dogs are going to be pooping and peeing everywhere. I don't care if you talk about me, which shw did since she called me fat, I'm 5 feet and wear a size 4/6, just don't get mad at my dog for doing what dogs do in a public park that isn't even in a playground area. Luckily, I and many dog owners pick up after our pooches so this is a very clean and great park. read more

great park, especially if you have a dog, but not required. It's very big with two play structures, sand volleyball courts (or just a giant sandbox), a little rock climbing area, lots and lots of grass. If that's not enough, there a dog park and batting cakes. There are a few bathroom facilities and pavilions for parties. Since we got a dog, we started coming here often and the kids (5 & 8) love it! read more

This park has developed a lot since the last time I visited (over 10 years ago). There is so much to do; a little of everything for all ages. Batting cage, basketball hoops, play structures, walking path, etc... Let alone, so much shades as well. Definitely enjoyed our time there today. read more
