Located inside Shoppers' World in Framingham, this outlet store has good prices and a nice selection of outdoor sporting goods and outdoor clothing. Their shoes and boots are a great deal. They had a $260 Mountainsmith tent for only $109. Such a deal! A great selection of reasonably priced sleeping bags and pads along with camping chair. Even a foldable rocking chair! The employees are friendly and helpful. I think I will stick to ordering online as the online selection is huge and they have a big clearance offering online. If you live locally, check it out. I wouldn't suggest a long drive to get here. STP used to be a Christian, family owned establishment but the owners either died or retired and the children sold the business to the TJX Companies. I went into the store to buy something with a family member and as I was browsing near the checkout counters, this older woman ("supervisor") "walkies" her M.OD. On the walkie talkie (Retail Walkie Code Talk "manager of the day") calling him/her to the checkout lanes to catch me (according to her ignorant judgment ) the so-called "shoplifter" and call loss prevention to catch me when she was was apparently trying to accuse me of shoplifting, when in fact I was not. She knew her shame and embarrassment when I mocked her in her tone, what that she said and she deliberately walked away. A few months passed and I went to the store browsing again with the same family member of mine and she gives me this "smart look". I said to myself, she is a complete "bitch" and that if it wasn't my family member that I was browsing with, and giving her some dignity that I would never go back into the store and shop again ever in my life, she was so disgusting that I don't ever want to see her working there again, and I hope that she gets fired. read more

This is a better version of the TjMax at my pervoud one star in that I hated how the lines were so bad and how everyone punched and kinda moved me out of the way. This place is like a better version of that with less lines and is not as packed on thanksgiving after day in Black Friday read more

Very excited that Sierra's are now opening in the Boston area. I first discovered the store in Colorado and really loved it- so many great deals! They are part of the TJX companies so lots of good buys on name brand merchandise like Columbia, Merrell, etc. This one in Shopper's World has a decent selection but, IMO, is not as good as the one I visited in CO because there was not so much in the way of outdoor gear. It was mainly clothing and a lot of it was like the lower end brands you see at Marshall's and TJ Maxx. If they could carry more actual gear and shoes, I'd be more excited. I'll continue to check back here but only if I am already in the area. read more

I went to a well known store in Wellesley that fits you for running sneakers by evaluating how you run on a treadmill. While I was thankful to have someone give me feedback on my run and what sneaker would fit best, I didn't buy from them because I like to do some research first. I like to read about the brand, about the specific sneaker, see some reviews. I don't mind dishing out a hefty chunk of change for sneakers that fit well and have good support. The sneakers I was fitted with were $120. Anyway, I left and did some research online, going immediately to the Saucony website I found the EXACT sneakers for $89! Wow. Anyway, next stop was Sierra Trading Post... was only my second time going here. I walked down the sneaker aisle definitely NOT expecting to find the sneakers there.... low and behold, there they were! Guess how much?.... $69! I was pretty shocked. I bought them on the spot along with a second pair of Saucony's that were a newer style. I later returned the $69 pair and kept the second pair of Saucony's ($79) because they were more comfortable than the others I was originally fit with. Anywhooo.. besides running sneakers I also bought some workout gear... new balance yoga pants with reflective strips and secret spot for cash or keys was only $10... packing cubes by Eagle Creek (AWESOME brand BTW) for an upcoming trip ~$24 for 3 (S, M, L cubes), a couple sports bras by Underarmour ($12) and Manduka (?$14), honey from their little food area ($4).. couple button down shirts for dad were between $15 - $30 for Columbia and Patagonia! If you see something here just buy it because chances are it won't be cheaper any where else!! read more

So like 90% of this store is just the "sportswear" section from Marshall's or TJ Maxx. And shoes. I was swayed by the commercials and thought I'd get some good deals on camping stuff but the camping section is LITERALLY Like two aisles. And some of that is also fishing. There's even a sort of home goods section which makes no sense at all and a whole lot of outdoor stuff that just doesn't exist here. I bought a cell phone charger that was braided leather that will look nice in my living room in the exit line. This is not what you think it is. Repeat. It's mostly casual clothes and shoes with a smattering of outdoorsish stuff to fit the theme. Super disappointed in the chain. read more

Sierra Trading Post opened in Shoppers World on August 17 2017 along with HomeSense (next door), both part of the TJX company (which is operated in a gigantic building right behind Shoppers World on Route 30). Sierra Trading Post has never been around the area in the past and is great to have for the folks of Framingham who don't have all that many outdoor clothing spots. Only one, REI, I can think of, and I know they are way overpriced. LL Bean is nowhere to be found (and now that I think of it, they are expensive too!), Bass Pro isn't around, and Cabela's is just a bit too far to be considered 'in the area'. Sierra is a great stop for outdoor gear including (but not limited to) footwear and clothing. They have a few computers set up throughout the store to help you search for inventory, and throughout the store they have many random aisles of useful products for vacations, trips, and camping. Even a few aisles of home decor like things in the back (isn't the point of having HomeSense next door so that people will go to both stores?). Tons and tons of backpacks too. Staff seemed friendly and the store was super organized and clean (that is expected though). Prices throughout seemed reasonable and within boundary. Definitely a cheaper option than any of the aforementioned stores that are somewhat comparable to this. In a sense though, don't come in here expecting the selection and variety of Cabela's.... it's much smaller and compact. Either way, I like this store and will return in the future before heading to LL Bean or Cabela's to check for the best prices and products. 4 stars. read more

If Macys equal Marshalls, then Dick Sporting Goods and Cabella equal Sierra Trading Post. This is the first of its kind for this region it is and for me worth driving all the way from greater Lowell to come here just to shop here. I can't wait to come back just to buy athletic and outdoor gears because we all know that Dick Sporting Goods is so ****** expensive. This store is awesome, especially now that its getting cold! The selection of outdoor gear, jackets, shoes was fantastic. I went in the other day because I was going spinning and forgot gym clothes. I was very impressed with the selection and prices and was able to grab a good pair of biking shorts, a shirt and sweatpants for cheap. While I was there I also snagged a few things for my dog! I'll be back for my holiday shopping soon. read more

Omg! It's about time a place like this exists! Stores like Marshalls and TJ Maxx have long been selling "the leftovers" from high end clothing stores... Now we finally have this place to do the same for high end outdoor gear stores. You really gotta pick thru the racks as there is SO MUCH stuff packed under the roof -- but if you are working with a budget and still want great gear and clothing, you will not be let down. Arc Teryx, Marmot, Mountain Hardware, Gregory, Osprey, Vaude, Anhu.. this place has it all if you are willing to spend some time looking. Great prices and a great selection. I went in, got what I wanted and spent about half what I would have at the places I'd normally shop. They don't carry some of the more specific items you may need.. but as far as clothing, footwear, packs, tents, and the "outdoor basics," this place gets five stars! read more

Easily the worst store experience I have ever had. Went to their Framingham, MA store. I ordered a pair of sneakers from the store for the free shipping. It took over a half an hour to checkout (not exaggerating) because the system could handle the order from the store component for some reason. The sales person was nice and apologized several times. She sought help from the assistant manager who also apologized. They stated they always have issues with that one part of their system. So this wasn't a one off problem. Fix it! After eventually moving to the payment portion of transaction, I used a $25 visa gift card and paid the remainder with my card. Two days later I got an email from them stating the gift card portion didn't go through and they need me to contact them to arrange payment. I checked the gift card balance online and it was all there so it didn't go through (their shitty system again). So I call the customer service number to arrange payment as the email instructed. Their customer service person had no interest in helping. She canceled the sale and said to start over on my own. This was my first time at a Sierra Trading Post and you can be sure it will be my last also. What a disaster! read more

Great selection of well-made athletic/leisure clothing and footwear in addition to a small but fabulous section of body care, pet stuff, and home goods. Marshall's used to be my favorite clothing store, but since they gave up on a petite section, I am able to find lots of clothing that fits here. Simple tops often have interesting details and the quality is much nicer than Kohl's/Target, much of which is similarly priced. If you are looking for comfy shoes and boots, this is also a great place to get them. read more

They store clerks need to know the policies and share them with the customer. I spent $100 on a winter coat and used an $80 tj maxx gift card and paid the rest on my credit card. When I returned it, the clerk said it all went back on my credit card. So I used my credit card to buy another coat that day in the store. The next day, I get an email saying I have a store credit and when I contacted them they couldn't explain why the clerk lied to me. A couple of weeks later, I order online to use the store credit. I buy a north face and a pair of socks ( to get the free shipping) and I just got an email saying the jacket was cancelled and they sent the socks and charged me for shipping a stupid pair of socks that I didn't want in the first place. I love tjmaxx and Marshall's and they have always been my go to store. I have never had a bad experience with either store. I didn't really even know Sierra trading post existed until I found out it was part of the tjmaxx and Marshall's Family. I figured I would give them a try and made my first purchase as a online order due to the fact that I have no stores near me. I purchased $80.00 boots that I received with broken lace clips making them unable to actually lace. I have been given the run around and spoken via email with 6.....6 different representatives. I never asked for money back on my credit card and was never offered any sort of gift card. Customer service is automatic responses and none of these representatives are on the same page. First and last time shopping here. read more
