We played our own music, brought our own drinks and snacks. TJ also provided some additional snacks and beverages just in case we needed it. TJ was very accommodating, allowing us to make multiple stops to get groceries, use the bathroom, and grab lunch etc. I highly recommend this service. Anyone traveling in a large group should use this service, especially for a drive as long as our was.

The Escalade was comfortable, roomy, clean and smelled good. I have been coming here for years and usually drive myself, but we had a dinner planned that included alcohol so the search was on for a safe ride. I was shocked at the lack of options so I called the hotel we were visiting to ask who they use. This has been one of my best discoveries in years and I will use them exclusively next time I'm in town. I asked if I could purchase a ticket for the tour and was told not was sold out and the next tour available was Tuesday, September 30, 2025. I checked my Viator account and it did not show a pending or cancelled tour on September 16, 2025. I booked another tour for 199.00 and took that tour. I received a call for the tour driver and said they were waiting for me. I told him what happened and that I was told I did not have a ticket. I checked my credit card statement and was shocked that I was charged 70.00 for the tour when I was I informed I did not have a seat. I filed a request with Viator and was told the refund was declined by Discover Lake Tahoe Tours. Discover Lake Tahoe Tours uses Viator as a third party administrator and if their administrator gives out incorrect information it is not the clients fault but the company(ies). I will not use Viator or Discover Tours again.

The night before they told me my pick up was at Lake Tahoe resort. Lake Tahoe vacation resort is right on ski run by the marina so there's plenty of parking options and is specifically why I chose it. Lake Tahoe Resort does not allow you to park there unless you are staying at the resort . It is right next to Harrah's. It was the celebrity golf tournament so I had to pay $50 just to park my car for an $80 day trip to Virginia city. The tour bus was completely filled with 23 people not the eight person max that I was expecting. I had take away 2 stars for these reasons. Virginia city is cool for the day. If you have a car just take yourself. Take some old time photos, get a beer a bucket of blood, and get a souvenir Christmas ornament at Christmas forever. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. I went to The palace because the guide recommended it. Cheap burgers but nothing special. I'd suggest trying another place.

there were no ubers available so we tried out this taxi company that had been recommended to us-…read morethe did come quick, however the car didn't have any sort of "tahoe taxi" logos or anything on it, the business cards inside were labeled "lake taxi" (red flag number 1) which i'm not sure if they've changed their name or something, suspicious but whatever... we needed the taxi to go from our hotel to the ski resort we're using, which from here to there is exactly 2miles (a literal 7 minute drive) when we got in the car, the driver immediately turned his meter off (red flag number 2) and didn't turn his map on and told us that there was super bad traffic on the drive, so he was going to have to go around the lake & town to get us there (red flag number 3) we opened our maps app and quickly discovered that WASNT true in the slightest, and told him to turn on his map and follow the directions because there was absolutely no traffic like he had told us... we then get to our destination , exactly as we should've (because there was none of the "horrible traffic" or complications he had told us there were) and he told us it was $40!!! for a 7 minute drive!! and since he had turned his meter off as soon as we got in the car, we had no way to check the meter or anything! we paid and then he had the audacity to ask us for a tip as if he hadn't just charged us a ridiculous price for a literal 2 mile drive.....
