I have been meaning to do this for awhile now. We got married on 10/14/23 at Gianelli Vineyards in Jamestown and we used Sierra Smoke & BBQ. We had previously been to a wedding that they had catered for and I told my husband (boyfriend at the time) we need them to cater our wedding when it happens! One of the first calls we made after the engagement was to Kim to make sure we got on her books. Such a sweet and genuine lady. She was easy to contact and be in communication with through the entire process. She made sure our day turned out perfect! We had only compliments throughout the entire night about how wonderful, delicious and prepped all the food was. Many compliments on the presentation as well. To this day we still are getting compliments from our guests saying "That was the best "wedding" food we've had" I can't say I disagree! It was wonderful and their entire staff was great and kind to all of our guests. This company is 10/10. Her husband, Louis, had the big cooking barrel on site and that was also very neat to be up top at the Gianelli House getting ready and to see them cooking throughout the day. Leading up to the wedding, Kim was always available and willing to work with us, providing helpful input and suggestions, and went above and beyond to ensure our guests with dietary restrictions were as equally satisfied as everyone else. The food Sierra Smoke prepared was incredible. From the tri-tip to the red potatoes and vegetables, our guests loved everything, especially our non-California guests who have never had tri-tip before simply fell in love. The buffet was tastefully displayed and they even incorporated edible flowers and eucalyptus, which made it extra special. We didn't get to see the charcuterie board during the cocktail hour, however from what we heard, it was a hit! The staff was wonderful at the wedding and came prepared for anything. We hired Sierra Smoke BBQ for our wedding weekend at the Pinecrest Chalet and the food was AMAZING! Working with Kim leading up to the wedding was very easy and she had a lot of great input and suggestions based off of my vision and her prior experience at the venue. We had to completely change to a Plan B the week of the wedding due to chances of rain and Kim was able to help arrange for a tent for the smoker to be covered so that our reception could take over the area they were going to use for food prep. We live in Southern California so we never taste tested any food prior to the wedding day and it was seriously SO GOOD. The appetizers were delicious, and the Mac and Cheese bar was a major hit! They stayed with us on property all weekend and served a continental breakfast for guests staying on property the Saturday morning of the wedding and served Sunday morning after brunch as well. Sierra Smoke's buffet table display and decor was so cute and matched our outdoor/rustic theme so perfectly! The Serving staff that helped throughout the weekend were so nice! I would give them -5stars. (That's NEGATIVE 5 STARS) They do not honor their contract. The contract clearly states a 500.00 non refundable deposit. That's fine. My kids paid them nearly 4,000.00 & had to cancel their wedding twice due to Covid. They would only refund them 2,000.00. How is that fair?? They didn't do A THING for the wedding except hold the date which got cancelled well before the date & they refused to give them their money back. They basically stole money during these hard times we are all living in. I so wish we would have taken them to court. I wouldn't recommend them for ANY event! read more

I contracted Sierra Smoke BBQ for a fundraising event hosted at Hurst Ranch in Jamestown, CA. Kim was a breeze to work with, and came to the planning table with suggestions and ideas of how we could stay within budget but still have an amazing spread. Kim and Louis just catered our 3/14/20 wedding. They were wonderful to work with. Kim was always quick to respond to my questions through email and text. They brought their pristine smoker on site (I think a lot of guests were interested in going out and checking out their smoker), and set up a gorgeous charcuterie table and buffet table.
