Haven't been to the movies in a while. A mommy friend and I along with our kids (4 kids ages 2-6) went yesterday to watch Toy Story 5. My friend had purchased tickets ahead of time. Our showing was at 4:45pm we arrived about 15mins before just incase there was a long line at the concession. When we entered we went straight to the self serve kiosk, although someone was the front he was helping others. They do have a full bar. The line went fairly quick. Our order: 4 kids box: popcorn, drinks and a snack, small popcorn with 2 waters. It was the day before Toy Story 5 premiere and was a bit disappointed to not see a lot of the souvenirs displayed. Even the kids popcorn box wasn't Toy Story themed. Not sure if they sold out already or they were saving it for Friday. The popcorn was fresh and delicious, they also add butter to the top as requested. The seats here are reclined and so comfortable, the temp was just right, not hot or freezing cold. We went to the standard showing. The restrooms clean, I was so happy and surprised to see sanitary barrier cloths on the diaper changing tables. Overall, it was a great experience! read more

I generally enjoy coming to this theater. The auditoriums are clean, the staff has always been polite, and the movie presentation itself is usually very good. Unfortunately, one issue keeps bothering me enough that I feel it needs to be addressed. During my recent visit to see *Moana*, the lobby was packed with families waiting to see movies like *Minions* and *Toy Story*. While waiting, I noticed several large posters advertising R-rated films with mature sexual themes and graphic horror imagery. (I Want Your Sex, Evil Dead Burn, Celebrity Sex Pass, Scary Movie). These displays were positioned throughout the main lobby where every child had to walk past them. I'm not arguing that theaters shouldn't show or advertise R-rated movies. Adults should absolutely have those options. My concern is simply where the advertising is placed. If YouTube age-restricts trailers for these films and children generally can't attend them without an adult, it seems reasonable to consider whether their marketing should be front and center in a lobby filled with young kids. Many other businesses already separate adult-oriented material from areas intended for families. I think theaters could do something similar by keeping the main lobby focused on family-friendly advertising during busy daytime hours or by moving mature posters to hallways leading toward auditoriums showing those films. This feels like a common-sense compromise that respects both movie studios' ability to advertise and parents who simply want to take their children to a family movie without having to explain or shield them from mature marketing while waiting for their show. I hope management will consider reviewing its advertising placement policy. I'd be happy to raise my rating if I see improvements in the future. read more

Been a long time since my two star review. Obviously I am here quite a bit so I must like the place! Typically come here on Tuesdays when they have $5 tickets. Occasionally it is hard to get good seating for the times offered, which was the case to see the Kill Bill offering so we went last night. Still offer Military, Senior and Student discounts. Wish they offered a full bar vs. just wine, beer and frozen wine margaritas. read more

Sunday 2:25pm Snow White Arrive at 2:00pm with our three excited grandchildren. Waited in line behind one family purchasing tickets. Only one person selling tickets. Seniors and children starting at 3 years old are the same price. $10 Walked in and the person taking tickets pointed in the direction of our theater "#7 to the right." Thanks. We stopped at the concession stand to purchase one large popcorn. one large diet coke, and one bag of Reese's pieces. The nice young gentleman also gave us three cardboard containers for the kiddos to put their popcorn into. We grabbed some napkins and headed to the theater. We easily found the correct row F which was lit up and our seats clearly marked with numbers on the pull out tray. Comfortable and adjustable seats. I folded out the cardboard boxes for the kiddos and added popcorn and candy. They were thrilled. Papa went to get a free refill on the popcorn before the movie started and we were set. Everyone enjoyed the movie! On the way out we made sure to get all our trash, put the trays and seats back in their original spot and headed to the bathroom. Clean bathrooms with toilet paper, soap, and napkins to dry hands. We'll be back for Dogman soon! read more

Great movie theater just down the street from my house, that now has a full bar inside! The family came here to see Bad Guys 2 and I was really impressed with cleanliness of the movie theater, both in the lobby and the actual theater rooms. There's a full bar with beer, wine, and cocktails offered in the lobby. They also have all of the classic movie theater snacks, candy, and slushies as well. Our seats offered the full recline with footrest option, which was awesome, but I kept falling dozing off! They were almost too comfy. I had to keep my feet on the ground with just a slight recline. This theater is surrounded by restaurants, bars, and at least three dedicated candy shops. So get to the movie early and load up your pockets! read more

Our tickets said our movie would be in 3. We were told 3 was being remodeled so we would need to go to 6. We sat down and waited for movie to start. Ten minutes later we walked out, told an attendant that something was wrong & he led us to 3. We missed the first part of the movie. The acoustics are terrible and we could hear sounds coming from the movies next to us. We will never go to this theater ever again. read more

This is my favorite theater in the Clovis area, pretty much because of the reclining seats. Movie quality is excellent. The sound is good Outside the theater, there are plenty of things to do. Plenty of restaurants there, go karting, laser tag, dessert spots This is just a good spot to go to. read more

My husband and I don't live far. We're walking distance from Sierra Vista mall cinemas . We enjoy going to the theater occasionally there and we love the seating because the seats are reclining and you can lift your feet up and it's very comfortable to watch the movie, especially because we are seniors. We love the peacefulness there and cleanliness. We always look forward to going to Sierra Vista Cinemas. We give it a star rating. read more

This place is WHACK. Came here to watch the Incredibles 2 on Friday night for 10:05 pm. It was 10:16 pm n nothing was on the screen, all the lights were still on and everyone was just confused. Later, a staff member came in saying "sorry we're having technical difficulties, the movie'll be on in a few mins" so we all waited. Then a few minutes later someone else came in saying the showing is canceled but we'd get refunded for food and the tickets. they handed us a voucher. I was confused so l asked what this was for. they told us to come back tmr night so we can redeem it n watch the movie then. we thought this was our way of getting our tickets refunded bc there was no other instructions on what else we had to do. we come back the next night, and pull up the vouchers. the employee says we can't use them UNTIL JUNE 29??? which is two weeks from when we bought the tickets AND THEY DIDNT EVEN TELL US THIS THE NIGHT BEFORE. at this point, I'm upset bc l drove 24 min to go to "the best theater in Fresno" TO HAVE ONE OF THE WORST THEATER EXPERIENCES EVER. then we ask the employee for just a full refund since a lot of us weren't even from Fresno so we won't be able to come back to this theater in a few weeks. He calls this girl from the back and she says "so u guys want a refund?? u guys didn't get one yesterday on top of the voucher? u guys were supposed to get it last night on top of the voucher" this girl's customer service SUCKED n the way she spoke to us was degrading. but no we literally didn't know bc their instructions were SO VAGUE thankfully we were able to get a refund bc i pulled up my ticket from the night before so they were able to verify our purchase. but the employee still had our vouchers so I tried to ask for it back but she goes "yeah I still have ur vouchers but I figured u guys didn't need it since ur not from the area" ok???? but ya ur right IM LITERALLY NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN. read more

We could see the screen. I think there were 1 or two other people in the screening room as us, maybe an employee because I swear I heard them leave and return a few times. The Sierra Vista movie theater management needs to work on customer service training with their concessions employees. It would be nice if they would smile and act interested in serving you. And thank you for your business. When customers are waiting in line, they should be a priority! This afternoon one unhappy, unsmiling employee was assisting customers and four others were not. Two employees ran off to the back room. One was filling nacho chip bowls, one was filling nacho cheese and then kernel cups. It felt as if they were restocking for the next day so they could leave quickly at the end of their shift. That was not more important than customer service! Without customers they would not have a job! Another area that needs attention are the seats and concession trays. They are frequently greasy and not cleaned between viewing. Wake up managers!!! Please provide better training! There are plenty of resources online if needed. BTW- The remodeled bathrooms are nice, but the sinks are difficult to turn on. . read more

We come here first the food is unbelievably expensive, what do you mean a small hot dog is almost 10 dollars. A drink a small ICEE is almost 10 dollars nachos ARW almost 10 dollars. The ICEE tastes like it's been refrigerated for days. The people working don't welcome you. The theater doesn't even have Ac. Overall just bad. I'm not talking about the theater. This is definitely my favorite cinema in the valley! It has amazing seating and their Tuesday Deals are amazing. The only negative I have, are definitely the prices of their food and drinks, but that is expected in the modern cinema Bussiness so I can't fault them too much on that front, but yeah if you are looking for a comfortable cinema experience with good services, Sierra Vista Cinemas is definitely my recommendation. read more

The dude and I came to the movie theater in Clovis, Ca with his friends to watch Starwars. Mind you...two weeks prior to seeing Starwars, I had to binge watch every movie. I remember the day of the movie I stayed up til 2am watching the last Starwars movie. Anywho, I really love this movie theater and I was surprised that most theaters are adopting assigned seating instead of sitting anywhere...I remember that was always a challenge finding a seat...now you don't have to worry about that. They have the food and beverage stand as well as the alcohol station. Staff was very friendly and nice. It was very clean inside and outside the grounds. We had no problems finding our seats at all. The most challenging part was..who were are gonna sit by. The seats were comfortable and they recline. Anywho, I rarely go to movies as I fall asleep through them and I am proud of myself as I fell asleep once. Overall, we had a splendid time here and looking forward to coming back. read more

What a nice clean theater. We don't go this one often because it's far from us. I love how their theater is so clean and their comfortable reclining seats. There's plenty of room for people to walk by instead of me squeezing my legs together or getting out of my seat so people can squeeze by. I do like that it's a smaller theater with less seats because that means I can sit comfortably and not be touch my neighbors arm. You get to select your own seats when you purchase your tickets online or at the window. (Online will have a processing fee) Staff are pretty friendly here and I saw everyone working and not just standing around. Bathrooms are very clean! No water all over the counters and ground. I didn't even see any paper towels or toilet on the ground either! I would definitely come back here for another date night. They have restaurants and dessert around the area. The mall is walking distance also. read more

Extremely nice workers! The theaters are massive and the seats have recliners. Super comfortable! They have theaters that cost a little extra, but worth it! You get more impact from the movie. I saw Bad Boys today in that theater and it was awesome! Total kick butt movie and really funny too! Awesome picture in the theater! Row D, seat 10 is the best everyone! Right in the middle! Nobody in front of you. They also have the usual theater foods and drinks. Plus alcohol like wine and beer. Fancy coffee drinks too! The entire place is very clean and well taken care of! Love the new stadium reserved seating!!!!! Staff are always friendly and patient as my son likes to stay till all the end credits are done. Restrooms are clean and my son enjoys visiting the little arcade after each movie. . . . Enjoyed the reserve seating and comfortable adjusting chairs again, but the employee at the snack counter took forever. He was very nice but seemed to be moving extra slow and then took extra time to spill out the popcorn and put new kernels in all while we waited. The movie theater is great. Very comfortable, cozy, and clean. The location of the cinema is very nice as well. There is a lot to do in the area which makes it fun. My biggest issue is the concessions stand because it's too expensive and it's not the best food. A small popcorn is $9, Medium is $10, Large $11. Already I wanted to leave, but due to Valentines Day. First time going to the movies in a normal theater since March of 2020 before the pandemic shut almost everything down. We had an issue which was resolved very professionally by management so that was a huge plus. The theater and bathrooms are both clean and the seats are very comfortable and picture and sound quality are all good. We saw the new Cruella movie and enjoyed it as well as seeing it in this theater. My only reason for taking one star off is more a caution of warning than an actual complaint. I bought a $25 gift card for this location at Costco. I went to order my tickets online because I knew Cruella was going to be a very popular movie and having to stay out of cinemas for over a year due to the pandemic, I wanted to order advanced tickets through the website. Their website is nowhere near as convenient as Regal's or Maya's. If you buy a $25 gift card and have to pay one penny over $25 they will decline your gift card and your purchase will be ineffective. I called and explained the situation to a manager Adam who told me this was the case and said my only choice was to purchase the tickets at the box office. I asked if he could simply add a few dollars to my gift card over the phone. He said he couldn't and was very rude and uncaring regarding my situation. I called the corporate office of Santa Rosa Cinemas who owns this theater and the head manager Doug, called me back. He said the theaters are trying to work with their online booking system to allow transactions using both a gift and credit card. He understood my frustration and was very empathetic. Since I had to spend more money by reserving one ticket with a gift card and the other out of my own pocket with my credit card, he said I could give the gift card to a manager who would simply give me the remaining balance on the gift card in cash due to the inconvenience. I was very appreciative of this professionalism and high attention to detail to make a pleased customer. If you plan to buy gift cards for this theater and hope to reserve advance seats make sure to get a gift card with enough balance to pay for your whole tickets or you cannot buy the tickets online otherwise. Just my warning of caution again. Outside of that minority frustrating situation which was resolved very nicely by Doug the head manager who knows what true customer service is I definitely do recommend this above average theater for any cinema viewing in the Clovis area. read more

Criterion is similar to Edwards in class and organization. It's close to home and located in the new expansion area of the Sierra Vista Mall. I was surprised to see that they were open for Thanksgiving so my sister and I and two friends decided to go see New Moon. We thought we'd be the only ones but there were at least 30 others that decided to join us. Don't they have plans? We're all Indians and don't really celebrate so what's their excuse? Oh well. This theater attracts an odd crowd, mostly an older crowd and today for some reason we got stuck with a baby that wouldn't stop crying until eventually the Mother decided to leave. The Criterion is definitely cleaner than most theaters in the area. It maybe out of the way for some folks but it's still brand new and squeaky clean. read more

Went to the 9:55 Godzilla:Minus One last night. The movie itself really good, the theater terrible. I'm not the biggest fan of sierra vista cinemas to begin with but oh my word what happened. I was just here watching the five nights at Freddy's movie a few months back and it wasn't that bad. Horribly rude staff that were annoyed by anyone coming into the door. One person doing concessions and the second someone else came up the original guy left immediately. The theater hasn't changed much since the original remodel and it really shows. Exit signs broken and on the floor. Rude staff that don't care about their jobs. The seats in the theater were gross and all torn up. I know they've had a few years of use but several of them needed to be repaired. Popcorn and oil all on the tv trays/seats. The only good thing about the whole experience was the movie itself. I've avoided coming here because it's out of my way and I've never thought of this theater highly but geez what happened guys this is terrible. Also no management to be found and popcorn all over the lobby. Lastly and most importantly in the day and age we live in having no one checking tickets at the front is dangerous. My friends and I walked in got out prepaid tickets and had no one stop us or even look at us as we passed by to find our seats. read more
