Well every now and then I come across a brewery that's just mediocre, this one yes, the beer is meh, served to me in a plastic cup. They were supposed to have hot dogs but wasn't serving them even though they claim it. People were waiting in a long line just to order a beer, only one cashier and 4 beers on tap. Don't waste your time here read more

Stopped in for a quick beer. Nice quaint place, indoor and outdoor seating. I had the porter, the squeeze a Pilsner, which they've been making since 1866. Both were solid beers. Chris was very friendly and gave us a history of the brewery. No grub. read more

This place is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy some very nice brews. We stopped on our way to Lake of the Ozark's. I wish I could take there place home with me! It's a great place to hang with the locals, who were obviously love the place. Megan served us at the bar and explained the brews on tap and served up some delicious hotdogs and brats. Local small town dive meets brewery. Stopped here to grab a bite and a beer on a Sunday afternoon while passing through town and stuck around a bit longer than anticipated. The house beer was good and everyone there were local and a trip. If I lived here this would be my place. Stop in and check them out; I'm glad I did. Shout out to Megan, Sabrina, and the others I had the pleasure of spending a few minutes of my day with. read more

The bartender was the most impressive! She provided her favorites and story of the bar to all patrons. She was keen on asking people their names and making the space feel inviting by offering unreleased tastings. The beers were fantastic and the dog was perfect. What a fantastic little brewery. I stopped in while passing through town and loved this tiny spot. I lucked out with their last of the Oktoberfest; a great beer. I also had a chili (homemade) dog and bratwurst. If you're in Frankfort, stop here and support this family owned brewery. read more

We was town to meet my kids, The other brewery was closed on a Thursday, So we ran across this place. (It's off the beaten path) This may be best beer selection in any brewery since trip to Traverse City Mi. They only have 4 of there brewed beers, But all 4 are awesome. Found Sig Luscher Brewery, while traveling through Frankfort, KY.... with YELPs help. What a find!! A family-owned brewery since 1866 and I believe I read, it's the 8th oldest Brewery in America. They make a really good Pilsner. It's a small Brew House, low key and the staff is so friendly. Brittany & Conner were behind the Bar and fun to talk with. . They helped me with my beer selections and they had a Burgos Stew made for lunch. Delicious. A bit spicy and full of flavor. We took a 2 cartons home. They freeze well. Good music was playing, pet friendly and they also have an inside and outside eating area. Very comfortable. And, we met Moose (a very friendly dog), with some really nice locals who gave us some ideas of other areas to visit. Highly recommended. read more

Wow! We were blown away how awesome this place was. Small brewery but awesome people, food and beer! We were in the area for a wedding that weekend. Wanted local beer so found the great reviews so stopped in. We were not disappointed! The dogs and brats we had were great. But the beer was amazing!!! The Octoberfest was my favorite. We had to get a six pack to go! The staff were super cool. They gave us all the history of the brewery and their current brews. I definitely recommend coming here if you are near Frankfort! read more

Sig's was a great find. Perfect little dive bar with all the makings of a memorable time. Meredith, the bartender, was phenomenal. Great personality, great food, very attentive, even offered lots of suggestions for other things/places to visit while in town. If you are in Frankfort and want a little bit of fun and funky, I highly recommend stopping here for a gourmet hot dog and a craft beer or one of their other signature cocktails. Also, dog friendly!! This place is worth the drive y'all!!!! I've had the pleasure to visit Sig Luscher Brewery several times and it's always been wonderful (well minus the awkward date that wasn't a date, ugh). Anyhoo, the Kentucky Coney was the bomb. I mean beer cheese and banana peppers on a hot dog???? Yes please! The Sig Pilsner is smooth and their drink menu is impressive. They have outside seating is perfect to enjoy the local brew. I haven't had the opportunity to go hear the live music on Friday; but, it's on my "to do" list. Sig Luscher is such a cute little place! We were there on a Saturday night for beers and food truck grub after a long day of hoping around Frankfort and Winchester. My boyfriend and I both had their Black Lager and a Flagship Pilsner. Both extremely tasty and smooth. For eats we had pulled pork nachos and a pulled pork patter from Amazing Gracie's food truck. For $10 a piece it was a ton of food. They have food trucks come by usually on Fri & Sat nights. Sig's a quaint little brewery and it's the perfect place to chill out and relax on a nice day. There are a lot of picnic tables in the back, some in the front of the building, and also some on the big deck. Once you go inside there are a few barrel tables you can stand around in the first room, then in the next room is a bar that has seats lined up and down it. We were lucky the night we came to visit because there was a man playing live music in the "barrel room". With the screened in porch you could hear it perfectly outside. I can't wait to stop by again. I loved the area and the good vibes. read more

This has always been our go out hangout spot for a quick beer. They got both indoor and outdoor seating. It is kids and pet friendly . Try their tiny flight. Best option to pick your beer . They also got some cocktail and wine options there . They got live music scheduled here at their outdoor space. Check out their online schedule for it. Best damn bar in Frankfort, KY!!! The two bartenders were hilarious, kind and efficient. My buddy and I finished off a bottle of E.H. Taylor and then hung out for a couple of hours drinking their in house beers. All were tasty. Gotta go and try the beers and in house dogs. read more

I wanted to be able to give this place a raving review! I have been visiting many small, locally owned businesses this year. Although I previously had tried food trucks at Sigs, I had never tried their food. My husband got a bratwurst with onions and spicy brown mustard. It looked fancy, but the taste of the brat was rather bland. I wanted a regular hotdog with chili but they were out of chili so I just had a plain hotdog. The hotdog was discolored and didn't taste fresh. My food was inedible. Our experience wasn't that great, unfortunately, but we loved the environment there. They also only had one guy working. He was taking orders, preparing food, and running the food to the tables, so we had to wait about 20 minutes for our food to arrive. Hopefully they're able to find more people to fully staff their location soon. I want to go back and try their brunch soon. It could have possibly been an off day for them. read more

I visited Sig Luscher for the first time today and it was good but not what you'd expect from a brewery. It is small, like tony compared to any other brewery I've visited (which is a lot). They only had four beers on tap and all were traditional styles (Pilsner, Porter, Amber, Kolsch). All were good but it would be nice to see a little variety. They did have bourbon and maybe a couple of other drink options plus a food truck from a local vendor. If you are in town and looking for a place to grab a quick beer or happy hour this is a good stop. read more

Such a great find! Husband and I came down for a tasting at Buffalo Trace and found this gem afterwards. Very close and so cute. We both had the rueben dog Husband had the amber and I had the bourbon slush. So good. The also carry the Buffalo Trace bourbons. Check this place out!!!! read more

The tables sat covered in dirty dishes long enough to qualify as permanent decor, and our food took so long I considered filing a missing persons report. When it finally arrived, it was cold. Not "could use a quick reheat" cold -- I mean "the marinara sauce had the temperature and emotional warmth of an iceberg" cold. The loaded potatoes were overcooked with about three toppings sprinkled on top like they were rationing cheese during wartime. The pizza? Floppy, bland, and somehow both soggy and dry at the same time. Truly impressive. And the chicken parmesan sandwich was just confusing. The bread was actually great, which made it even sadder that the chicken itself was dry and somehow NOT fried. A chicken parmesan sandwich without crispy chicken feels like someone forgot the assignment halfway through. The restaurant may be dog friendly, but after sniffing the leftovers we brought home, even the dogs seemed personally offended. This place used to be one of my favorites, which makes this even more disappointing. Hoping this was just an off night because right now the quality has left the building faster than our server did.

There's something for everyone, whether you're a "let me analyze the hops" person or a "just give me something cold and delicious" person. Everything we tried was solid, and it's clear they know what they're doing. The venue itself is super cool. Family friendly, relaxed, not pretentious, and somehow feels both lively and laid-back at the same time. The kind of place where you can hang out for one drink and accidentally stay for three. Service was great: friendly, fast, and helpful without hovering. Exactly what you want when you're trying to responsibly sample your way through a tap list. Parking is excellent. Stress-free. No parallel parking gymnastics. No circling the block questioning your life choices. Just... parking. Beautiful. They also had a pop-up event featuring local artists, which was awesome. Apparently they host things like that pretty regularly, and I love that they're supporting local small businesses. Nothing pairs better with a craft beer than community spirit. They offer pizza, which we didn't try this time, but it looked and smelled incredible. Great beer, cool atmosphere, excellent service, strong community vibes, and parking that doesn't make you cry. 10/10, will absolutely be back.

This is our 2nd time visiting this location after Keenland horse races. It just so happened that…read morethe Milwaukee Brewers were in the playoff and we were with 2 big Brewer fans. So I called the restaurant and asked if they had the game on; the staff member that answered quickly found the manager and said yes we can put it on for you. Bingo! We stopped in and it was a beautiful day so we asked if we could sit outside sitting - definitely and they put the game on out there as well. Lucas was out waiter and he and the manager ( I believe Mike was his name ) would banter back and forth jokingly; which made for more fun. They also place us by an outdoor propane heater just in case. Three of us had Burgers and 1 had a salad. 2 burgers were 1/4 lb and looked like it after cooking; they were tasty. The sun went down quickly and they bought another propane tall heater. The first one didn't ignite ( out of gas ) 2nd one out of gas ( apparently someone did shut off the valve but the owner appeared and got a new tank of propane and got it lit.
