I'm a little overdue on this, but couldn't not say how great this place is. Everybody is really friendly, has parking in the back and not expensive. I had a white linen pant that had an expresso martini stain and they couldn't get it out on the first try. When I went to pick up my clothes they said they were afraid of trying more because they didn't want to damage the pants. I told them to go ahead because if they didn't get the stain out, I still wouldn't have been able to use it. To my surprise, they were able to get it out. And they didn't charge extra to try again to get the stain out. Will definitely go back! read more

Where do I start. One of the members of our community stopped in the street during the middle of morning school traffic. I waited for him to return to his car, as well as the other 10 cars behind me. When he still didn't show up I went into my local cleaners to tell him to come move his car. The business has parking in back and this was really inconsiderate. The owner or employee immediately started yelling at me to read the sign. The guy who had the car outside was sorry and urgently went to move his car. But not before the owner, while yelling about his rights to have anyone stop in the street, came from around the counter to yell more, point in my face and tower over my 4'11 stature. The owner was very aggressive and intimidating. Pointing in my face and yelling... Even though other customer was understanding, he also seemed shocked and frightened by this owners behavior. I have never had a man yell and point in my face before. He was tall and angry. No one should support this business. I feel frightened for any woman close to this guys. read more

Recently Dropped off a Kate Spade coat that had jeweled buttons. It had never been dry cleaned before. When I picked it up several of the stones on the buttons were missing and several other stones lost color. The owner "claimed" they covered the buttons as they were supposed to and blamed it on the manufacturer, Kate Spade. Coat is pricey No I'm sorry, but that is a lie. How are you going to claim you covered the buttons to dry clean and there are stones on the buttons that are missing?!! LIE!! It's not an error on the designer. That is an error on the person that dry cleaned the coat. Take accountability for your error! And yes I still had to pay for the dry cleaning! Updating my review because Sigs recently responded, 18 months after my original post, in what appears a weird attempt to blame me for the stains they caused. That is just not the case. Here is my response: Hi, "Sig S.", You might want to read my review again, which to be clear, is from December 2021, almost two years ago. I am not some intolerant monster who can't deal with a broken button. That is NOT what the review says. Three shirts, expensive ones at that, were straight-up ruined. By Sigs. They were fine when I dropped them off. All linen. I don't know if that matters, but just FYI. You have always replaced buttons, no problem, and everyone has always been super friendly. Thank you. But again, someone at Sigs spilled bleach or solvent or something on a Givenchy guayabera that my wife bought me in Panama. Two other white linen shirts were returned with stains that -- again, to be clear -- were NOT there when I dropped the clothes off. They were the same stain! Likely from the same spill or whatever happened. Sigs tried five or six times to clean both of them, knocking them out of my wardrobe rotation for weeks, to no avail. I took them to another cleaner, and now they look as good as new. To be 100% clear, an encapsulation: Sigs stained the items AFTER I dropped them off for a normal cleaning, no special stains to treat. Just a wash and fold. They came back stained. Two shirts I was able to have cleaned at another cleaner, and one -- the most expensive and irreplaceable -- was ruined forever. Just to be clear. This isn't about buttons or stains that I caused. Again, attaching a pic of one of the shirts that was "ruined" -- yes, that's the correct word -- and not by me. I don't spill bleach or solvents on myself. C'mon. read more

I am almost ashamed to say I avoided bringing my clothes to Sig Samuels, because I *assumed* the prices would be high because of their location. I live soooo close, I finally got to a point where I didn't care how much it cost - the convenience was worth it for me. Welp, jokes on me, because the service is incredible and the prices are great. My comforter was $27.50 and it was complete in about two days. This is more affordable and faster than any other dry cleaner I've visited in the last two years. But based on service alone, even if their prices weren't this fair (which again, THEY ARE) I would still return to Sig Samuels Dry Cleaning. I absolutely love these people. Over the last year, I've been working with Sig Samuel's to get my wedding dress cleaned. I purchased it at a designer sample sale in NYC (where I live) and had shuttled it back and forth on a plane multiple times just to get it cleaned specifically here. The cost to clean my dress was literally 90% less than what they wanted to charge me in NYC. Steve was so super nice and always helpful and remembered me everytime I swung by for dress work. I've also brought several sweaters and coats here and they've been great every single time. My dressed was cleaned very well the first time and had a quick turnaround as I needed to take it back to NYC to get altered, but when I brought it back to NYC I realized that one small stain had still remained. I called Steve and they made sure they would make it right. Thus, a few weeks before my wedding and after I finally got alterations finished, I brought it back to Steve and he promised he'd reclean the entire dress, plus get the stain out, plus press it - all for no additional charge. AMAZING customer service and my dress was all cleaned and pressed at the end. Highly suggest working with Sig Samuel's and Steve in particular to get your wedding dress cleaned. My entire family has been coming to Sig Samuels for decades and even though I don't come here that often, they always make me feel very welcomed and the service is awesome. I've brought toooo many clothes here to be cleaned and I've always been pleased. Finally decided to drop my wedding dress off to be cleaned and preserved and was happy to hear that the price was very much in my budget. I've been taking a bundle of white shirts (and occasionally some pants) to Sig's for a while now. The quality of the work and prices are just fine. But I'm not going back, at least for now. At the counter, where the employees deal with the public handing over materials all day, none of the employees were wearing masks. I just don't feel safe in their establishment. read more

I read the past reviews and I can honestly say those guests are completely false in any qualms they have discussed. With any service, you can inspect your clothes right then and there, so for those of you that posted negative reviews, I'm POSITIVE you didn't even bother contacting the establishment. Adam and Steve are excellent and will absolutely go to any length to make sure their patrons leave happy. With that being said, I brought a VERY expensive dress to have dry cleaned. I went to at least four other dry cleaners and they turned me away because they were unsure about the garment. Not Sig Samuels- they took such good care of it! I am beyond impressed! I am very, very picky when it comes to my clothes- especially when it comes to dry cleaning. The prices are so unbelievably reasonable, it's amazing. My husband and I will forever bring our clothes to Sig Samuels from here on out. There is parking in the back of the establishment. More than enough spots and for those of you complaining, get over it. I'd like to remind you, this isn't a restaurant- This is Atlanta. Thank your lucky stars they offer parking. So when I searched on Yelp and Sig Samuels Dry Cleaning popped up, I was like, "Hell yeah. The internet kicks some serious ass." I said this all in my mind, of course. OK, things to know: ***** I. LOCATION & PARKING: Sig Samuels is located on the busy intersection of Monroe and 8th Street (aka where everyone and their moms fight for at least half an hour trying to find parking so they can shop at Trader Joe's). They have dedicated parking spots in the back, and share the lot with neighboring La Hacienda. I've only visited a couple times, but I've never had to drive countless times around the block or anything. II. SERVICES: Obviously, they do dry cleaning. But what's really cool is that if you drop off your clothes off before the late afternoon they'll have it ready by the end of the following day. Pretty fantastic, if you have a busy life. Regarding the people working behind the counter, they were very friendly and thankful. More about it, the dudes behind the counter kept reiterating how appreciative they were to have my business and wanted me to return. This occurred during both times I visited. My clothes, too, were well dry-cleaned and pressed, without any problems. The only thing I wish they did was clearly show their prices (e.g. how much dry cleaning a suit would cost), but that's minor suggestion. III. PRICES: Speaking of prices, wow, they're really affordable! For the items of clothing I mentioned above, I only had to pay $14. That's a lot more affordable than the other dry cleaning businesses I've visited in the past. IV. OVERALL: I definitely will return to support this family-owned business. They appreciate receiving my hard-earned dollars, professionally deliver a quality service, and have resided in the 'hood for a hot minute (so they got credibility). I rarely use dry cleaning services but I had a puppy over that had an accident on my dry clean only duvet cover. Took it to Sig Samuels and the owner couldn't have been nicer. I came in a little early to pick it up just bc I was walking by and it wasn't ready. The owner offered to drop it off at my home so I wouldn't have to make a second trip. This is my first-ever review, but I felt the need to share what is undoubtedly the worst dry-cleaning experience I've encountered in 15+ years of adulthood. First, let me say that the folks at Sig Samuels were extremely friendly. I dropped off a number of dress shirts and suits for cleaning, and I left with a good feeling about the business because of the service I received. However, when I picked up my clothes, I was surprised by the bill. I hadn't asked about pricing in advance, but I ended up paying $10-20 more than I was accustomed to at other places ($64 total). I wrote it off, believing that perhaps I had dropped off more clothes on this trip. When I pulled out my first shirt at the start of the week, I discovered that, rather than using paper tickets that are customary in the industry, they had stamped my clothes in ink with my last name. They didn't disclose this upfront and I would not have agreed to it if they had. I have been unable to wash away the stamp with soap and water, so my clothes may be permanently marked. To add insult to injury, they misspelled my name! More importantly, I should have taken a closer look at the shirt I pulled out because it wasn't until I got to work that a co-worker pointed out that it had a large crease across the back from where the fabric had folded over prior to pressing. Not only was that embarrassing, but I later discovered this was not the only shirt with that problem. Lastly, when I inspected my suits, I discovered that all four suit jackets had some kind of puckering wrinkles along the front and seams of the jackets. I have no idea what caused this, but I am now unable to wear my suits until I get them pressed again somewhere else. On the whole my clothes were returned to me in worse shape than when I dropped them off. So I paid $64 to have a handful of clean shirts that may be permanently marked with someone else's name, while the remainder of my wardrobe will now need to be sent out again before it is even wearable in a professional environment. I am not sure what went wrong on this particular occasion. The other reviewers obviously love this place. But I can't remotely recommend Sig Samuels based on my experience. read more

I stumbled upon this place because there were always cars idling annoyingly to the side when we were trying to cross Monroe to Trader Joe's. So I'm a newlywed, just learning how to adult in the sense that you cannot throw everything into the washers and dryers and hope for the best. I've been taking my dry clean only clothes here for over a year now. The guys are polite and remember you by name. Once, I asked if they did alterations. They sent me to their partner store Midtown Alterations. Boy is it night and day. Sig is kind, MA are not. But Midtown Alterations does an incredible job, if you can get over their abruptness. If you're still reading this review--I'm impressed but I have to tell this story. So I've been an Atlantan for 10 years, but my lovely, discerning grad school buddy has lived here all of 8 months. We were talking one day and she mentioned dry cleaning and I said that I had the best place. She deadpan said, "obviously Sig Samuels!" Great dry cleaning experience. I needed a trench coat cleaned and had called a few other places to get a price quote. Most places had a hard time giving me quote as they were either unsure what a trench coat was or what price it would be. Sig gave me an approximate guess with what they think the max amount would be. It was $5-7 less then local places. It was a seamless drop off and pick up. I was worried about parking as it is located across from Trader Joes in a really little shared parking lot with La Hacienda. Luckily both times I was there, parking was available in their reserved spots. Overall, friendly guys and very fair prices. read more

Panicked, I called a gazillion times begging and pleading for someone to come open the shop and after some creative social media sleuthing, found a family member of the owner who then put me in contact. He came in about 30 minutes, apologized and didnt even charge me...this could've gone waaaay south but he saved the day and I couldn't be more thankful. This is my favorite dry cleaner in town. I started going when we lived in midtown, but I love it so much that after we moved I now drive out of my way to go there. The staff is super friendly. It's a family owned business, with dad and a couple of sons manning the desk most days. They must have like a million customers, but they manage to get to know your name and recognize you after a while, which really makes it feel like home. It's also great to support a local business. Plus, best of all, the clothes always come back looking great. Stains out, looking sharp, the works. You can't go wrong. Need it fast, they will take care of it for you. I don't often write reviewed unless they are really bad or really good. The only reason this entire experience wasn't bad was due to the customer service. They are very friendly but as far as work product I was not impressed or satisfied with their work. They added what looks like starch to my hoodies which makes them look faded and they shrunk them. They one stain they did remove from a shirt looks like the tee is damaged. And the other stains I pointed out on the items were not cleaned. I'm fact my tee and hoodies look worse now since I took them to get cleaned. I would not recommend them, nice guys but bad work product. It is what it is, I can't lie just because they are nice. Love these guys! This is my go-to dry cleaner and I have turned several friends to them. Located right in Midtown by Piedmont Park and Grady Stadium. They have a convenient, but small, parking lot in the back of the building. Although most people just pull up on the road and put their hazards on while they run in. The staff is awesome! They are always so friendly when you arrive and are sure to take care of you quickly. Even if they do not remember your name they still recognize you and make conversation with you instead of a cut and dry business transaction. I don't have anything too nice I have brought them besides one all lace dress which came back in perfect condition. They have a pretty good turn around, although I make sure I am never in a rush to get anything back, and have really good pricing. I usually take a few work tops, dresses and all of my dress pants to Sig's. I live about 5 minutes away currently but I will probably drive from wherever I move next to keep coming here. read more
