You probably wouldn't expect such a mecca of craft beer in practically the middle of nowhere Rockwall, TX, but there they were, doing their thing. I was pretty excited to discover the location and super excited to know I could get lots of Dallas craft beers that are not so easy to find in Austin. I guess people in the middle of nowhere Texas aren't such big fans of craft beer. Why, y'all? There is so much more out there than Coors, Miller, and Bud. Either way, what's done is done and I'm going to go be sad about the state of the world and how come truly awesome businesses sometimes have to go out of business. Life isn't fair, I guess. If craft beer is your thing, and it totally should be, they are having awesome sales right now. I got four beer glasses, two four-packs of cider, and two large bottles of beer for less than $40. The sales are even better now, so go stock up on your favorites or, hell, get some new stuff to try because it's cheap. They are only open for about a week longer, I think, so get there as soon as possible and give A B a great send off.

The best part of shopping here is the guy at the counter who shared his knowledge of beer. He was helpful in recommending beers to try after we told him about the beers we favor.

But... get rid of the artificial fragrance in the store! I have bought multiple packages of tortillas now that taste like Glade Plug-Ins. It's disgusting. I assume it's in the plastic. Fragrance glues itself to plastic and then imparts its chemical goodness to everything it touches. You carry food items people actually eat. Fragrance has no place being anywhere in this store. The restrooms, and a back office, are perhaps the only exception, but they're bad for you anyway, so just get rid of it. To be fair, I've bought bread and other items packaged in plastic from Kroger and other stores with the same issue. Fragrance is everywhere, and we're eating it, and I'm sure it's doing bad things to us.

Clearly, I missed the memo that everyone in a 50 mile radius called out sick today. Thank you to the helpful security/officers directing traffic. Honestly, considering the traffic, they did awesome with getting people in and out of the parking lot. The store was surprisingly less crowded than a regular trip to the Plano/Allen location but still buzzing with energy. They had the traditional set-up,with clean aisles and well stocked shelves. The main challenge was navigating around the curbside shoppers, due to their big (width and height) carts. A necessary evil, I guess. Giveaways, samples, and friendly staff were a welcome sight. Ya'll PLEASE be kind to the store associates! I'll be back when the newness wears off. Luckily the Forney location opens in early 2026, so there will be two options for the main and neighboring towns.

I had the misfortune that Ashely answered the phone. She wasn't paying attention to what I was saying, constantly referred me to call Customer Service, and lied to me about a specific employee whom I asked if she was working was there. Ashley told me to check back after 4pm, supposedly because the three employees that I inquired about by name were not there. She was condescending, rude, and not a good representative for the company. I've shopped at this store for years, and this was my first rude and unprofessional encounter. Ashley frustrated me to the point that I decided to drive over to the store to speak with a manager. As soon as I walked in the store, I saw one of the employees who Ashley said wasn't there. I requested to speak to Ray, store manager. He walked towards me and said that he had seen me several times before. I expressed my concerns regarding Ashley, and he said that he would take care of it. Ray gave me his business card, and asked that I reach out to him if something like this happened again, to avoid me having to drive to the store. I thanked him, made a purchase and went home.
