This spot makes their own and the employees clearly enjoy working there. I also had the banana putting ice cream and it was super smooth and tasty. Very yummy ice cream! I got the surprise for September and it was (spoiler) birthday cake. That happens to be one of my favorite flavors! It was sweet without being overwhelming with chewy bits of cake. I got edible chocolate chip cookie dough as a topping which tasted like brown sugar cookie dough. The service was great! There are small tables inside, for 12, and outdoors, more small tables. Parking... is the biggest challenge. Staff is eager, ready before you are. I had 2 tiny little munchkins with scoops ready to dive into ice cream, but I said "Wait, I have a question". Well, you don't ask questions in Fate, Texas, so I ruined their day. The shift leader stepped up, and took command, nicely. I also had my Yelp! Check-in Discount Offer on my phone, 10% on my purchase. Mostly, I forget to use these, but I wanted to see the transaction, in action. It went smooth, and the Yelp! app removed it after the sale. It's Fate Creamery offers a variety of ice creams, and a few frozen ice flavors. The ice cream cupcakes look fantastic, but I was wanting Blueberry Ice Cream that I had sampled over in Caddo Mills, TX at Rollin' Beans Coffee Co shop. Rollin' Beans told me it is Fate Creamery brand, and that, is what brought me over to my Fate, in Texas LOL Fate did not have blueberry, so I settled for Espresso, which was not on same level. It must of been Decaf? It had tiny specks of, I suspect, ground coffee beans but no distinct coffee flavor. I tempted Fate, and lost! First time here and not the last. I will say I almost walked out as they don't wear gloves or any hair protection while serving but my wife would have killed me for leaving. Cute little place, parking is difficult but the ice cream (made in house) is the best in probably a 50 mile radius. Just please, please wear gloves while serving customers. It's pretty gross to see workers coming out of the kitchen grabbing a serving spoon out of the water then scooping up the goods with no gloves or hair covering. Yes I am in the food business and have been for 40 years. At least the gloves and hair coverings make you look like you care about the customers you're serving. 4 stars for now but 5 stars if they wear gloves and hair covering. read more

My kids and I stopped in just after 5 on a Sunday, also the second day of business, and the employees and owner at It's Fate Creamery nailed it. They were perfectly polite and helpful, and the product is downright delicious and comes in four sizes so you can pick just the right amount. Also, it's reasonably priced--we all know that's rare these days. I recommend the mint chip. I'm glad Fate has built up their downtown and has some great businesses like this not far from Rockwall. One of the best ice cream spots in the area!!!! You can taste the quality in the ice cream and really taste the ingredients of the flavors, it's amazing. They have $5 ice cream flights (4 scoops!!) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-7pm. Definitely the way to go!! I got two scoops of the dark chocolate orange which tasted identical to terrys chocolate oranges. Wow it was so good I wish I ordered a whole pint to bring home. I also got the Samoa, which had hunks of real Samoas in it, SO GOOD, and the triple berry- delicious with raspberry/blackberry mixed in. They change their flavors each month, which is fun.
