This has been my experience with John Gardner the owner of Sight and Sound by Design, LLC. Price is reasonable, technical ability is okay, follow up service is awful to none. In the Spring of 2021, we had John Gardner install a 7-camera security recording system. He redid our theatre system, replaced three tv's and installed a motion tv mount system. A Sonos audio system was installed in the house, the porch, and the pool house. A mesh network was installed. Five advanced technology tv remote systems was installed. Totaling around $16,000.00. We had a couple issues a week after the install. He came back and corrected it. He told us to call with any issues, and he would walk us through it over the phone. We had multiple issues several months after the installation, he never answered his phone or email messages, and never contacted us back. The other issue with him was having to pay a deposit before the work began, which is understandable. Before the work was completed, he wanted more money, which we refused to pay. When the work was completed, we paid him all that was due. When a person pays that amount of money, you would think the contractor would provide good customer service for future work. Oh, the joys of having a toddler and a flat screen TV! Our little terrorist was hell bent on knocking over our TV so we knew we needed to wall mount it. My husband and I previously wall mounted a TV together in our old house in WA and the fact we are still married is nothing short of a miracle. To be short, we do not work well together on projects. Hoping to keep our marriage in tact and keep our toddler alive and avoid him crushing himself with a TV, we called up Sight and Sound by Design to come and wall mount our living room TV for us. John came out and gave us the estimate and the time frame. He was pretty busy but promised us he could come in about two weeks to do the work, and he was able to stick to that. What really impressed me is how clean he works! He left no mess for me to clean up! Also, he came in slightly under his original estimate on price for the wall mount. That was a pleasant surprise. The price for the wall mount was a bit higher than if we did it ourselves but TOTALLY worth it. It looks perfect, very professional and the best part is my husband and I didn't have a screaming match while yelling that the other one is holding the tape measure wrong. See, you can put a price on love. All in all, I would def hire this company again. Decent price, clean, professional, does good work and keeps divorce lawyers out of business. read more

I highly recommend Sight and Sound by Design for all audio/video needs! He has setup my systems in 3 rooms, but most importantly my basement project where he set me up with a crazy good system. The owner, John, is professional and very reasonable when it comes to pricing. Most important though, when it comes to setting up your "man cave" right you need someone that has great ideas to help with recommendations based on years of experience, is high quality, and is meticulous when it comes to doing the job right. He makes sure you have all that you want and need! EVERYTHING was done perfect and had me on cloud 9 once the project was complete!! Then there is the customer service aspect, which I can tell you I have never had a better experience. I have had issues that have popped up, none to do with John but due to things like me changing cable companies where they messed things up, but I never worried because over the last 2 years since the job has been completed John has always been there to help when I've had an issue someone else caused!
