Boss K.

I have to go to Las Vegas 6x per year. This is my #1 thing to do on my free time. Located at the D Casino, 2nd floor, on Fremont Street. This is the last Sigma Derby in the world. Made in 1986, It is not the same as Fortune Derby you will find at other establishments. 5 horses circle the track, and 2 will win the race. Up to 10 players can play at the same time. The winning horses are totally at random, there is no pattern. You can play for as little as .25 cents for 1 of 10 options or up to 10 bets on each combination for $ 2.50 to guarantee a win. You can also bet multiple times on each as well. Truly old Las Vegas, when it was fun. I usually play for 6 hours it's so addicting. Free Drinks ( always tip the server!). Sometimes, it's really a party atmosphere with everyone routing for their horses. I've met a few locals who play this 7 days a week!

If you can see this piece of history put some coins in it and get caught up in the excitement! You will not regret it!

I was here three years ago and my friends walked me up and down the strip for an entire week stopping at every casino asking the question of where the heck is the horse game? We couldn't find it so when I saw the review on YELP I bookmarked so I could come check it out. It was a TON OF FUN! There is a spot for 10gamers a change machine on site to get quarters and in the 3hours I spent there I only saw 1 empty spot. This is by far the only game Ive seen that gets the players as well as the crowd that gathers so engrossed they yell and scream at the horses like they were at the track themselves. There was a group from Germany there last night and speaking German a little I loved listening to them and watching their excitement. These guys were even making side bets out side of the game and I was just waiting for security to come put a stop to our fun. Outside of the machine breaking down three times in the time I was there we were left alone and it was an amazing time. CHECK THIS GAME OUT ASAP it may end up in storage again soon.

Fun old game.

Still alive and kicking as of Feb. 2016. Always loved this game and always will! Hit a 200/1 long shot on this exact machine last year.

It wasn't, and the full incorrect charge went to my card. I called back, they apologized and said it would be investigated. Heard nothing back, so called four days ago and spoke to a supervisor, she said she spoke to accounting and they will be investigating it and I should hear back within 48 hours. I waited until today and nothing, I called back, and was told that "it was processed wrong, you should see your refund in 7-10 days" I asked how was it processed wrong when I've called multiple times and spoken to a supervisor? I requested to speak to a manager - this request was not fulfilled, instead I was put on hold and then told that the manager said they will have someone contact me in 24-48 hours (what I was told four business days ago). This runaround leaves me no option than to just dispute the charge, more wasted time for me. I understand mistakes happen, but how they are handled is where you get customers back. This was my first stay at RW and I was an "invited guest" on a comp stay, and this is how they treat guests? On this same trip I also had a stay at the Rio in Las Vegas, they failed to apply the $25 Food & Beverage credit to my room. I brought this to their attention after check out and received a credit on my card before the charge from Rio, how does Conrad Resorts World get outshined by Rio Las Vegas? Also, on the first night with my white noise maker on high we could still hear music from either the rooftop lounge or a neighboring room until after 4am.

The room accommodations were a major highlight. The bed and pillow combination was the most comfortable I have ever experienced, and I really enjoyed the bathroom, which featured excellent water pressure in both the tub and shower. Dining was also a success--the street tacos, nachos, and ramen were delicious, and our breakfast of muffins, bagels, and coffee was spot on. The staff throughout the resort were amazing, and although the pool was a bit crowded, it was kept very clean. While we had a wonderful time, there were some lapses in room service that need improvement. Unfortunately, our room was not thoroughly cleaned during our stay: the table was not cleared after our room service meal, there was some trash left on the floor, and the bathtub had not been properly scrubbed. Additionally, we had to call for a refill on basic items like napkins. Despite those housekeeping oversights, we had a great time and are already planning our return to this hotel!

That pleasant scent continued into the beautifully designed lobby, which was filled with stunning (and yes, real!) red roses. I also appreciated the variety of shopping and dining options throughout the property. We especially enjoyed spending time at the Bleau Bar--it has such a great atmosphere and is a vibe all on its own. The espresso martini's and green tea shots were our daily go to drinks. My only suggestion would be to offer a small bites menu instead of just chips and nuts. One feature I really appreciated was having staff stationed at the elevators to verify that guests were actually staying at the hotel. It added an extra layer of security without being inconvenient. There were also plenty of elevators, and they were fast, so we rarely had to wait when heading to or from our room. My only real disappointment was room service. The prices were the highest I've ever seen--I was quoted over $40 for a pot of coffee! Needless to say, we decided to skip room service altogether. Overall, this is a beautiful, clean hotel and casino with friendly staff and excellent amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

First reason this establishment lost a star. Second star was removed because the signage in this Casino is horrendous. There is one arrow for Stadium Swim pointing over to the right side after you've walked in that sends you to heaven. Literally points up to perhaps where the pool might be located, but it is not the path to get there. For anyone trying to get there, walk in and go to the elevator and go to 2. Then you have to take an insanely scary escalator to the top of the building. An employee said it's the tallest escalator in Vegas at 3 stories high. If you are afraid of heights at all, you'll want to request elevator access to the pool instead. The third and fourth star have been removed because my car was taken for a joy ride while I was at stadium swim. I imagine this was because it's a convertible. The man that I handed my keys to asked if I was attending the finale and he must have felt confident he'd have the time for a little fun. My tank was almost completely empty and mileage was increased. I will never park here again.

Let's go in after some panning around our schedules. They have so much fun here with lots of food and drink choices . Food eateries that you have not been introducing too. They have two Vesta coffee places here. One in the front and the other in the main food court. Lots of good options for food. Yu or Me Sushi, how about that name? And a custom custard place. The heat of Vegas is coming . Let's stay cool . Are you looking to stay off the strip and for a few days they give discounts when you book extra days in a row. They offer natural lighting from the outdoors for the casino. The parking is free here and it's not clustered with all sorts of Las Vegas traffic. It's safer than the strip too. Close to all sorts of things to do and see! It's probably more locals focused and offers around two hundred rooms. This hotel still has that new smell, with fresh paint type of air. The gambling is on point . The sports book is all open ready for your bets. It's unique too comes connected to the George Restaurant and its features indoor and outdoor seating . Wow! And it's not even busy . Again they have a bar called Drink with indoor and outdoor seating too . The prices are lower than the ridiculous ones that's on the strip. Come out and see what's happening with a little slower part of Vegas . Play some table games or try your luck at something other digital game. The black jack tables are low at a ten dollar minimum. The thing that bothered me the most is that they got rid of what made Durango so gorgeous and unique, which is the fact that it had a lot of natural light coming in through both types of the Casino's giant glass doors, now all of that is sealed off, making it look like a warehouse. While we were here this time we indulged in some ice cream and really enjoyed the hand made ice cream. It really tasted handmade with bits of real strawberries in it. Last time we were here it was a special occasion and we went all out. We walked all though the strip just to get here to ride the gondola. Boy was that fun. No, it wasn't the same as the ones in Venice (I know because I've been in Venice and ridden one of their gondolas), but you know that going in. You're in Vegas so I didn't expect the same thing. I was looking forward to the Vegas version of this classic ride and I got it. Was it over priced? Yes. At the same time you get what you pay for. A fun ride around the camels in the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. There was supposed to be an photographer taking our picture so we can buy at the end, but his camera malfunctioned so we didn't get the shot. This was a huge disappointment as I'm all about pictures and I really wanted the opportunity to see the glamorous shot the professional photographer took and if it captured the. Moment like i had I would have bought it. Fortunately we weren't totally relaying on him. We brought our own camera and took the perfect shot with the gondolier in the background and the bridge when you come out. It was perfect. You didn't have all the busyness of Vegas in the background. I'm overly thrilled with my photo, I got exactly what I paid for a fun ride and the perfect shot to frame and remember this day. And yes, I really did frame it and it sits on my piano. As long as you know what you're paying for, it's totally worth it. And now that you've seen my shot and know that it's taken at the end of the ride when you come out from under the bridge, you can get the same shot too. Have fun and enjoy Vegas and the Venetian. Maybe even walk around the quaint streets and have some ice cream after your ride.

For the Hotel/Resort: The basic rooms here are better than the majority of other strip hotels. I personally think its top 3, even a small upgrade here gets you a very spacious room. I have stayed in the regular rooms and suites at both The Venetian and The Palazzo. The venetian rooms are more updated, but the Palazzo rooms are good too. The self parking has a lot of spaces but ingress/egress is easier at The Palazzo. However the valet parking here is faster compared to other resorts. The rideshare pickup/dropoff is good too. The casino floor is bright, clean, and good gaming variety. For the slots, I like that they have both old and new machines. I like the older "top dollar" and "run for your money" machines. I also like some of the new machines like KONG . They also have a great variety of video poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps! I have yet to play at the tables here but they have a good variety. The beverage service is good, but coverage/timing could be improved. I feel like some parts of the casino floor do not get as much service. They also have a great variety of food and restaurant options for all budgets. My personal favorite here is Estiatorio Milos. A close second would be SushiSamba. However, I have never had a bad meal here. I also recommend Sugarcane, Chica, Cote, and Smith/Wollensky. I still want to try the other options here! Overall great place to stay or check out. I always leave here feeling great!
