The owner is so passionate and friendly and tries to strike up a conversation with every single customer, no matter where they're from. I thought the customer service was next level. As for the sandwich, I want to preface that I don't eat regular sandwiches. I'm super picky and usually just get meat and cheese. NOTHING else. So his sandwiches weren't really my style. They looked very good but I know I wouldn't enjoy it if I just ordered off the menu. He puts a ton of fruits and cheeses into your sandwich and asks a bunch of questions of what you like before putting it together. I went for a blue cheddar cheese and since I wasn't getting anything else, he cut a gigantic chunk for my sandwich. The only downside is I think the only meat he uses is small salami slices. He put in triple the amount he usually puts but the cheese still took over the whole sandwich (I ended up buying more meat from the grocery store to fill it up). Every sandwich he makes is the same price and comes with a drink. I wanna say that his normal sandwiches are probably amazing. Mine was okay after I added all the meat into it. I also didn't eat it right away. But I think the customer service itself should receive 5 stars.

There were 4-6 people in front of us. It took us about an hour waiting. I hate to keep harping on the wait time but setting expectations is key. There is even a story posted on the window about the wait time. So why the wait? Tonton Graby provides individual attention. You can order off their limited menu or just talk to him about your feelings, likes, and dislikes. From there, you get a tailored cheese sandwich exceeding any expectations you might have built up. You don't pay until you've at least tasted it - even if you opt'd for take out. "If you don't like it, I'll eat it" the owner will tell you. You might opt for fruit or veggies on top. You can add meat. There is a small area to eat in if like us you were in no hurry. A sandwich with meat ran 9 euros as of this writing. They accept credit but prefer cash. Enjoy!

They have a variety of other items and it seemed like a lot of people were ordering the sandwiches. They'll also warm it up for you, if you ask. We randomly found this spot on our last day of Brussels but if we knew about it earlier, we for sure would have gone here for breakfast a few times.

This location is at the center of a lot of the major tourist attractions and is therefore great if you're looking for a quick, on-the-go breakfast or lunch without having to sit down (though that is still an option). Panos is a chain bakery/sandwich shop and was recommended by one of the aunties. Stuff you can find here includes sandwiches, wraps, soups, sweet and savory pastries, individual loaves and rolls, salads, coffee, and hot chocolate. Super basic, but high-quality stuff compared to a lot of other chain bakery places we saw as we traveled through Europe. Some of those sweet pastries were just really fancy looking for what's supposed to apparently be a very basic place, while even the basic stuff tasted really delicious. Their croissants were also super delicious, and I thought the raspberry croissant was particularly interesting. This particular location is on the street branching just off Grote Markt (Grand Place) and just across from the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert's southern entrance. It was near where we were supposed to meet up with our tour group, so we dropped by very quickly to grab some breakfast. My chief memory of that morning was that their waffle honestly made me feel better about the first half of the day.

The thing is that I probably should eat the waffles, but seeing them piled high with delicious cream and a multitude of fruits, they are hard to resist. So, I decided to get one from here. They were too pricey, but the experience wasn't all that great. Needless to say the waffle was okay, not actually not hugely fantastic - I guess like in a lot of cases my eyes ended up being much bigger than my stomach.

So which is it Break Point? When visited the place the first time, I was looking for a place where I could eat pasta: which is incredibly hard in the city center. I ordered the salmon pasta to the kind waitress. My order arrived shortly. I enjoyed it although I had to adjust the spices a bit *I haven't found a restaurant who just gets it right with the spices, why is everyone so afraid of salt?* The interior is very nice, very open with a comfy nook in the back. There's also the possibility to eat outside but it wasn't appealing to me. There's oil on the table (excellent for the pasta). I used the restroom which was modern and very clean; like they all should be, right? Their position is also ideal, it's in one of the side streets of Anspach. I recommend the place if you're looking for a quick bite to fill a hungry stomach.
