TO THE OWNER OF SIGN BAR: Are you really going to keep deleting my one star review? 2 times now I posted my TERRIBLE experience a few months ago. Without any communication or follow up from the owner to rectify my awful experience. As a bar this is typical bar atmosphere. What is NOT typical is the staff who berate you, cuss you out, and are extremely unprofessional. What's also unprofessional? Removing reviews that do not suit your personal agenda. Super cute bar a little drive to the east of Austin. I wish they had more beer options on tap but the ones that our group got were all solid. There is plenty of seating and very cool decor to check out. I can see the amount of thought put into building this space. When we went there was only one food truck open out front but it was spicy boys so I had no complaints. Parking was pretty easy out front since we went on a chillier evening and there weren't too many people. read more

Very cool place in the middle of nowhere. Decor is very unique, providing a great indoor and outdoor space to hang out. There's enough room for kids to play which is always appreciated. Spicy Boys truck in the lot so they have the best food option in a 20 minute radius. Spicy Boys is worth visiting by itself. 1 star off for limited quality drink options. Would love to see more beers and better whiskey selection. $8 pints during happy hour is also no bueno. read more

Very cool vibe with lots of character - so glad another bartender at a competing bar (that didn't serve cocktails) recommended this place! The bartenders were all very friendly, and the drinks were yummy! We are staying in the Austin area for a few months and will be back for sure! It's been a really long time since I've been to a bar in Austin and felt the charm of the place. This place is a blast to the past for anyone that's been in Austin for more than a few years. Those that are newer would have a great time regardless because of how themed the decor is. The noise level is at a comfortable loudness, and I could see plenty of couple outings where it seemed like a first date. Casual wear is of course the norm. If you're wondering if the weather permits such an outdoor space like this one, there's some awnings for those really wanting to sit outside in little themed open rooms, and there's some limited space inside with a nice roof over your head. For the heat, there were some nice and powerful fans outside that didn't have me feeling uncomfortable at all. The drinks are a standard price, nothing too expensive. There are multiple places to grab a drink from in case a line is too long, and I had a themed Barbie drink for a July visit. If you're looking to get some steps in, there's also a literal maze. I'm happy to say I took a wrong turn even though it might have seemed so easy at first! Definitely coming back and making this place a regular visit for late nights and cocktails! read more

It's relativity expensive considering the location yet they definitely take advantage of the fact that it's literally the only bar in the area. Depending on the night you go the bartender may or may not know how to make a decent drink and would prefer you order beer to make it simple. The concept is actually pretty cool and the outside area is great to hang out. Plus they even have a small lil maze. The food trucks are usually a miss and again pretty pricey tho with limited options and hunger calling at least there's something there as long as you order before 10pm. read more

Everything is great about this place except the music. Playlist will go from beach boys to Green Day to Michael Jackson to Metallica to Kylie Minogue to The Strokes to Limp Bizkit to parliament funkadelic to Shania Twain to Depeche Mode . It's like someone just googled "music" and made a playlist of what came up. Shame bc the rest of the bar has personality but the music is bland and makes no sense. read more

Visually appealing bar with the best ambiance! They just opened this bar this week and we are stoked! There is nothing like this remotely close to my brand new housing development - we finally have a hangout! The nostalgia from old Austin signage keeps the conversation going all night. Being that this is a new bar, there is room for improvement. They are going to have to eventually expand the very small indoor seating as it gets hot in Texas and outside is not always ideal. Also they need to expand their quality of bar drinks - needs garnish, staff who can craft cocktails, and create their own signature cocktail menu. Food is also a missing link, they will need to offer bar food to become successful - drinkers like to snack. Definitely worth a visit. read more

The service was great as they have workers that walk around making sure that all of their visitors are taken care of. The first thing the front security/ ID Check guy tells us we can't bring our dog inside the establishment & 30 minutes later we see a Caucasian girl with her doodle is allowed in and he lets them in LOL and then looks right at us. Thank god we're from out of town ! I would've given it 5 stars if that wouldn't have happened but that was ridiculous other than that we enjoyed the scenery. My sisters and I were coming in from San Antonio for a little day trip in Austin & stopped at this very cool looking place. Everything was cool until I got my tab. I signed it but didn't get a copy, I had to ask for one after I walked back to my sisters & we recounted our drinks. They charged 3 extra drinks WITH 20% tip already included. There's a sign behind there that states that gets added on walked out tabs but we didn't walk out? The servers were cool whenever we ordered, but after I pointed that issue out with the tab their attitude was noticeably different with us (one blonde female and 1 guy who looks like Michael Jackson). My tab went from like 175ish with $35 being the tip added in to 143 with $28 being the tip (still included on their own). I asked for a copy of the original receipt to have along with the 2nd but they printed out another copy of the 2nd receipt. We left & were disappointed to see they've done this before after reading reviews. The place itself is very cute for pictures and the outside vibes but they ruined that & we won't be coming back. After being processed all the way, the total from this bar is $103, which was not on any receipt. read more

One of the newer bars that has the original Austin bar ambiance with more than just old business signs. There are booth rooms that are fully themed, from an old video rental store with a TV and VCR to watch movies to a pool table room. The outside area is very large with plenty of tables, benches, and chairs spaced through out. The inside is also decorated with plenty of Austin native history near the bathrooms along with tables and chairs surround the perimeter. I had no idea I'd be so impressed with this place, but the layout and overall care given to the design of the signs is fantastic. It's like a picnic for days. There's plenty of seating, and I really appreciated that there are multiple bars - a smaller one outside and a big one you can sit at inside to beat the heat. The staff was super friendly, checking in on everyone and the guy at the front gave us a quick 'lay of the land' when we first arrived. There's also a number of food trucks that all smelled amazing. And those little themed bungalows? Would love to rent one in the future if that's an option. Raise your hand if you're embarrassed to admit how long it took you to get through the maze! read more

What a down right COOL place! Ok yeah, sure, call it kitschy, whatever you want. It's darn cool, and dang it we like it! We've been a couple of times now, and brought visitors here who have all loved it! The signs are so much fun, and after living in Austin for some time, it's really neat to see all of the old relics, and hear others talking about them too! The drinks are great, they have some really awesome signature cocktails, and a great beer selection! I ordered a drink that was on a table tent, and the bartender realized it was from a private event the night before, but he happily made it for me from memory, and then took the sign away, haha! I appreciated his willingness though! They have these super fun little alcoves that are themed from different places in Austin, that are fun to sit in, but you feel a little sheltered sitting in them! It's super pup-friendly outside only, but they have tons of water coolers with dog bowls, and shady areas, which our dogs appreciated in the heat! read more

Cool nostalgic bar with the biggest collection of retro Austin signs. We went during the day and the atmosphere is great and no matter how many times you walk around there is always something new to look at. Bar is located inside and they offer some food items. Staff is friendly and they offer bud spray/sunscreen for this crazy TX heat. Dog friendly as well. Not sure if the signs light up at nighttime, but I recommend going to visit during the day so you can really take in all the signs and get great photos! read more

This place has a nice, fun vibe, but also faces some challenges. Mainly, The bar is small and cramped and quite far from downtown or similar areas where young people like to go out. When I went recently, most customers were in their 40s or so. Which is fine, but for a spot that could be really popular with the 6th street crowd, it felt a bit dead. They let you bring in food from outside and advertise having food trucks, but when we showed up there was only one, for pizza. And so we Uber eats something else but the options weren't very good because of the location. Drinks were mid, but cheap. Pool table sucked read more
