Stoped by here during SXSW 2026 to listen to some bands this past Saturday. They had some fun coconut water samples that they used to make cocktails at the inside bar. I got one of their dark rum cocktails. They had some yummy food trucks in the back and several of us had items from Wow Poke which was really good. The weather was nice so we could sit outside in the back area in the shade while we ate. Then we wandered around and listened to the bands for a bit. It's a really nice space. I've been there once before for swing dancing one evening. I wish I lived closer to it but I'm sure I'll end up back here eventually for another event! read more

Radio East is such a great spot. I went on a date here and it's perfect for that, but it would also be fun with a group. There's tons of outdoor seating, which I loved. Indoor seating is more limited, but it didn't bother us at all. I had a matcha and it was smooth and really well made. They also have food trucks on site, so it's easy to grab a bite while you're there. Big plus for easy parking, and I love that they sometimes have live music. Overall, highly recommend, relaxed, fun vibe and a great Southeast Austin hang which I really appreciate because there aren't too many things in that area yet. read more

So many great things both Radio/East although I think it would be more accurately named Radio/Southeast since you must venture south of the river for this gem! That's probably why they have plenty of parking and two huge yard areas, one for food trucks and one for event sitting and standing room. I love that there are tables and chair for us not so young anymore concert goers along with plenty of standing room for those with good joints. Both kinds. Makes for a fun and comfortable concert experience. There are three spots you can go to for drinks so you are bound to find a short line somewhere. I had a few old fashioneds throughout the night and I would say the back outside bar wasn't the best at making them. But they make them with Still Austin whiskey so they were all good. My friend tried the chai ginger something or other and it was not great in the opinion of anyone in our group. Beer selection is pretty good and not crazy expensive. Sadly, they were not making espresso martinis last night, which I really wanted to try. Next time! Really great place to see a show (thanks Sir Woman!) and seems like a nice spot to chill anytime. read more

I have always driven by this place but I woke up early to ready by book with cofee. The drip coffee by itself was great and loved the large outdoors. Came out here for another show. This time a smaller show where they cut the field in half and used the smaller stage. Still a nice venue. Expect drinks to cost $2 more during shows but they still keep it under $10 a beer even for drafts. No lone stars for the cheaper beer selection surprisingly. We also came back here the next day to get coffee and look at the witches "night" market, (which actually took place in the day). Turned out to be underwhelming, only a few vendors were present. It's a pretty good venue with some food truck options, the staff is usually really nice. We were on the music event night and then returned the same day for the witch night market. The music show was really good, but I was a bit low energy to stand around with the crowd, so a table by the fence was SPECTACULAR. The market was...meh? It was about an hour past the start time and there was not as many vendors few of them were just horoscope/tarot readers. Also...why hosting during the day and call it a "night market"? They have basic cocktails and special seasonal options. So is for coffee. The coffee was good although a bit more expensive from some other places we've been around town. The alcoholic drinks seemed to be more expensive during the show night compared to when we came back the next day in the afternoon. read more

After a 5 mile hike at McKinney Falls, we stopped by Radio East because my friends from San Antonio were craving something local. The Veracruz taco truck on site hit the spot, but what really stood out was the service at the bar. I asked if they had any non-alcoholic drinks, maybe an agua fresca, and the bartender whipped up a cucumber mint agua fresca with a tajín rim. It was refreshing, hydrating, and exactly what I needed after that hike. The space itself is great with plenty of outdoor seating both in the front and back, plus indoor tables if you want to escape the sun. We arrived at the perfect time, skipped the lines, and easily found a seat. While I sipped my drink, I watched the bartender/barista craft some beautiful coffee drinks. Highly recommend this spot if you want good tacos, creative drinks, and a relaxed vibe. Insider tip: Order your tacos from the food truck and enjoy them inside with a tasty drink. If the Cucumber drink is too sweet, grab a water glass and add water to dilute it. read more

We grabbed a few pastries, chocolate croissant & muffin. Drinks: Americano, nice & smooth. And first place I've found that it doesn't "melt" the top rim and spill everywhere on the to-go cups! How happy am I that this place opened in Southeast Austin??? In an area dominated by fast food chains, Radio is a breath of fresh air. I love their cold brew and my wife is a huge fan of the chai latte. Veracruz food truck is a lunch staple. Lots of parking and beautiful grounds. Radio East is one of the coolest venues in town. It sells itself more as a coffee shop but when you go see a band it's like suddenly and all ages bar. They have the same great coffee as the other location. Stumptown cold brew is one of my all time favorites. The bar runs like a well oiled machine and getting drinks is always fast. Locals come here weekly at minimum for remote work, hangs with friends, grab a latte or coffee to-go, eat pizza or tacos, meet up with family, and/or for live music. In the past year I have been SUPER impressed with the bands and musicians who are being booked here. You can come see some major indie bands (local and national/international) right in the backyard of Radio/East without the hassle of having to go downtown or a venue at super affordable prices at a local cool spot off the beaten path in Austin. There are two stages here - one large one outside and a smaller one inside. Sound, lighting, and stage dimensions allow for a super professional experience when you come out to watch some live music/shows. I am a huge fan of the amount of space they got out here. The outside front patio area and the back is perfect to meet with your family, friends, or even coworkers if you had to. There are picnic tables and single seating areas all around the place. If by myself I sit inside and along side the bar to work on my laptop or do some writing. Parking can be a thing depending on what is going on for the weekend or day. When there are market days or events expect parking to be either up and down along side of the street or across the way in the businesses across the way. Just be smart and be sure to read parking signs like anywhere and everywhere else you gotta do here in Austin. Love their draft cocktails they have to offer here including the "hoppy" CBD/THC infused N/A (non-alcoholic) seltzers and drinks they have here. Try their paloma on draft. I love this coffee shop! Parking is easy in their huge lot. It's easy to get in and out of for a coffee meeting or to have lunch from one of the food trucks. The coffee shop is comfortable inside and has plenty of seats. I've had just a regular coffee or latte and also a specialty one, and they have all been great. I do really love this coffee! I've been eyeing up their drink menus too and will need to stop in for happy hour some time. Many people work remote here, but there are also a lot of people meeting with other people or talking on the phone, so I appreciated that it was not silent. My intern and I had a work meeting here and it was easy to work on our laptops then get lunch from outside. I've only tried the Veracruz Taco truck outside so far, but it's one of my favorites. They also have a whole event calendar here with live music. I am excited to see Silverstein is playing here in December. I will have to see what the outdoor set up is like for shows, because they really get some big names! Good local one-stop coffee shop! read more

This place is such a vibe! I've only been twice so far, but they have been great visits. It's spacious both inside and out. There's a lot of seating outside, and both areas have a little stage for performers. I've seen a burlesque show here; which was held in the interior, and it was pretty nice. I'd prefer if we all had seats and less audience standing up, but that's just a me thing. Staff is nice enough, I had no issues but we didn't really interact much. The drinks are delicious. I've tried the Spiced Maple Oat Latte and Oat Milk Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Both of which I definitely recommend. I also ordered I think a seasonal horchata based drink and it was incredible. I had to stop myself from drinking it all in one go. That perfect blend of cinnamon with that rice milk flavor was fantastic. I absolutely have plans to come back and try more things off their menu. read more

There are some food trucks outside, a Veracruz taco truck and a side eye pizza truck too! I got a matcha on their specials - rooty frooty matcha - kinda like a fruity cereal milk / strawberry flavor! Very unique and pretty good! Their matcha is a great size too - I sometimes save a little for the next morning. Service is super friendly and helpful! I love that this location is so close to our house. They do have limited parking but there is curb parking. Its pretty busy on the weekends. We stopped in on a nice Sunday afternoon. We grabbed some tacos from the Veracruz taco truck and had coffee inside Radio. Inside is pretty small and our order took a bit but there were only a couple of people working. Outside they had some local vendors selling different items. I need to come by more often just to hang out. I'll need to bring some of my neighbors to hang out maybe when they have a band. read more

Radio Coffee - East! I went here as I live closer to this location than the original. This location is BRAND new so please be patient with the workers! The space is so nice, large with plenty of patio spots for large and small groups. My only critique is the coffee was not that good. It was just eh for quality and flavor. Had a traditional latte and was disappointed. I probably will come back as they have a Veracruz here too but that is new too. I'll give them sometime to work out the kinks! read more

I actually came here for a workout event held by my kickboxing gym. After our workout, I popped in to grab an alcoholic beverage. Unfortunately I came on a Sunday so I had to buy a pastry in order to buy an alcoholic frozen. The frozen Saturn they had on tap was amazing! Too bad the glass was quite small. $12 for a frozen was definitely on the more expensive side especially for a more casual bar setting. What I do like about this place is that it's dog friendly and had much shade. My dog was quite comfortable chilling in the shade while I worked out. Overall I don't really think it was anything special compared to all the other casual bars around Austin. read more

We love this new location of Radio coffee shop! It's large, has lots room to sit (including indoor), lots of parking space, and good food cart vendors on the property. The coffee and bakes goods are as good as the original location. In many ways it's a differently arranged replica that's roomier, but it's also more polished, the original location definitely seeming more aged now in comparison. Dogs are welcome at Radio, and it's a perfect spot to hang out with friends or family due to the roominess and the many options for food and drinks. I think this will be our go-to location in the future, it's a closer drive for us too, very convenient! read more
