The car is a two door convertible, so no roof and only two doors to do. The ppf quote came in at $6500. It wasn't the craziest but not the best quote either. Here is the clincher, the ceramic coating quote came in at $2000!! I mean, I thought we got our wires crossed and maybe he thought I meant for a partial ppf or something. Nope, not a mistake. That was a real quote! This guy must be very, very good and applying a ceramic coating. That's to rich and ridiculous blood. Feels like he was trying to take advantage of me. Does anyone, other than someone with a $200,000+ car pay $2000 for a ceramic coating? (For reference, the material requested was for Xpel stealth and Xpel fusion satin).

In all cases, California Detailing produced fantastic results that made the new cars look better than they were at dealer delivery and the well-used vehicles look as close to new as possible. For vehicles that we've subsequently sold, California Detailing's attentive work helped protect their resale value. Even when we don't have big jobs pending, we drop by their shop a few times a year for installation inspections and touch-ups (no charge during PPF or ceramic coating warranty period). In September 2025, I brought my 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 to The Wrap Lab for a complete unwrapping and re-wrapping service. I met with Igor, who inspected the car and assured me the work would be handled properly and professionally. The vehicle was in excellent condition when I dropped it off. A few days later, Igor informed me that paint had come off during the unwrapping process and instructed me to have it repaired before they could continue. After the repairs were completed, the wrap job was finished but when I picked up the car, the results were extremely poor. The wrap had bubbles, wrinkles, uneven seams, peeling edges, and visible tape residue across multiple areas. The car was also returned dirty, with a broken passenger door handle and new scratches that were not there before. When I reached out to Igor about these issues, he told me this was "the best he could do." That response, along with the quality of the work, was completely unacceptable for any professional business. The wrap continues to deteriorate daily, and now I have to pay another company to redo the job properly. This has been one of the most disappointing and frustrating experiences I've ever had with a car service.
