Where things started to slip was on the pickup side. I was told the car was ready, but still ended up waiting about 30-40 minutes before actually getting it. At checkout, I was also surprised to see a tip screen with suggested amounts that felt pretty high given the service. I ended up leaving a small tip, but the experience itself didn't really match that level of expectation. I also would have appreciated a quick walkthrough of the work that was done--especially at that price point--but it was more of a quick handoff of the keys. I came back for the 10-day follow-up and made a point to ask about timing ahead of time. I was told it would take about an hour. I arrived early, but after an hour the car hadn't been touched yet, and there wasn't any update unless I asked. That part was frustrating. So, they ended up rushing my 10-day follow-up inspection. Gave the car a quick rinse and handed me the keys. What was the point of driving down from Carlsbad??? Over 3 hours wasted. For comparison, I had a great experience at their Kearny Mesa location previously, so I know what they're capable of. This location is stretched thin, which seemed to impact communication and overall service. I was not the only customer in the lobby feeling this way. Given the type of clientele they're working with and the pricing, I was expecting a bit more consistency and attention to detail. Their follow-up consisted of more sales pitches of coupons for services I already had done. Would have been nice to have the discounts PRIOR to the work! I planned on using the wash program and mentioned to Jasmine my poor service experience. Think there was follow-up? Nada. So, thumbs "kind of" up for Ceramic Pro but thumbs down for this location. Overall, I think the company itself does good work, and have used the Kearny Mesa location in the past several times with excellent success!! I would not choose this location again.

I ended up doing everything including the windshield which I like because it reduces sun damage and is easier on the eyes when it's bright. More recently, I got into a collision and I dented and scraped my rear passenger door and trim. The paint was scratched down to the metal and required a new paint job as well. I knew immediately who to call! I reached out to Michael who was able to assess the damage, give me a quote, and fit me in that same week. They did such a great job!!! It's back to new again The panel is free of any dents, the paint match is perfect (it was not a flat black so had metallic flakes), and the trim was replaced with authentic Toyota parts. While talking to him I learned that he used to have a shop a few years ago but closed it as the economy went down so he works out of his house. Although that may be a con for some, I think its a really good thing for his customers because it keeps his overhead low and in turn his prices. I'll be happy to update this review if I can get the warranty honored as I think every business owner should get a chance to make things right. I had Ruben tint my vehicle on August 3rd and the corner of one of my windows began to peel about 30 days later. Ruben did not respond to my first 3 calls until I caught him live on the 4th attempt. He set a date and time to come out and address the issue but was a no call/no show. I called him 3 additional times and he won't return the call. This is unfortunate considering how responsive he was at setting the initial appointment to come out and do the work. His invoice provides a lifetime warranty against peeling, bubbling, and discoloration but it's worthless if he won't respond. Upon further inspection, I have micro bubbles in all 5 windows in addition to the one window peeling. I was sold on his service due to the reviews on yelp however I'm left with a poor quality installation and a company who will not back their written warranty. Wishing I would have paid a little more for better workmanship or at least worked with a business owner who is interested in making things right or standing behind their work. I'll be notifying Suntech regarding my experience but I'm still baffled as to why Ruben wouldn't just honor his warranty for sake of a good review or at the very least, to avoid a bad review? It doesn't seem like the $259 he is keeping is worth losing the customers who will think twice after reading this.
