He arrived promptly, was very professional and courteous. We needed a total of 7 awnings and after taking some measurements he walked me through the install process and fabric options. Next day he sent over a proposal that was very fair and also had the flexibility to paint the frames black (as well as paint the existing main awning frame black). Despite having several other estimates we choose Gene based on the sense of trust he was able to instill in a short period of time. 3 weeks later job was complete, excellent service and quality and very fair and competitive pricing. Extremely happy with how things turned out and looking forward to using Sundown in the future.

Abble Awning is not an honest company. After 18+ years of using their take down and put up of our |…read moreawning which was originally made by Canvas Awning of Mineola, Josephine decided that mid job of putting up our awning 4/2026, she would hold us hostage and up our agreed upon price of $238.98 to $400. Josephine threatened to have her guys stop the job if we did not agree to her new demand. Josephine claimed that our awning had suddenly grown bigger and that we did not use her company to make the new awning. We refused to be held hostage. First, there was never a contract nor agreement for us to use their services to make a new awning. Second, the footprint of our awning did not change, it's the exact same size and layout. Third, we did not use Abble Awning to make our new awning again because the last time they made our awning in 2012/2013 they did not measure correctly and it was constantly tearing and shrinking. I should also mention that the reason Abble Awning made us a new awning in 2012/2013 was because they were unable to take down our awning in time, usually done in September. As a result of their inability to take our awning down in time, Hurricane Irene shredded the awning at the end of October 2012. Do not use Abble Awning.
