First of all my appt was for 1:30pm but I was already around the corner shopping so I thought I would drop in and this was 1:15pm and I just waited for 5 minutes and they got me in! Went in for the yearly cleaning and it was great! Unfortunately my exam didn't turn out too good and didn't expect certain issues to come up but the hygienist Cristine was very friendly and informative. She was very nice and kept asking me if I was still alright as she did the deep cleaning. My dentist Dr. Nguyen has always been awesome, and I am always amazed in how she remembers the conversation and little things we talked about from the last visit. Once done, I went out to the front desk and both receptionists are just the best. And if you wait long enough, one of them will start singing! ;o) read more

I went in as a new patient. I have several missing teeth and several others that need to be replaced. The dentist basically told me that my only option was to get all of my teeth replaced, a surgery that costs over $10k. Then, even though my insurance covered it, she would not even allow the dental hygienist to do a cleaning on the teeth that were still okay. She basically left with me the option either getting the full surgery or else they wouldn't care for me at all. read more

I was impressed how my experience with Dr Jinna Im presented herself and she was very courteous, polite, understanding and answering questions. I needed more extensive work and thought I'd be making several trips to do two crowns and a cleaning. Dentist said she can do it all during this first appt. They (staff and assistant) even stayed late past closing to fix my two teeth. I ended up with temporary crowns given my situation of teeth and will return the following week for permanent crowns. We decided to go here because we live in EastMark. Convenient right? Oh no!! No stars!!! Like zero. My 17 year old daughter went here for a cleaning and some extra care for her pain. But 3 hours later should not have been the case. My husband booked an appointment later the same day and he was there over 3 hours. The amount of work they said he needed was ridiculous. He's never had any issues. Not to mention they couldn't get the Novocain shot right so he is still getting pains. What was supposed to be a 2 hour (3 hours max) for both my husband and daughter turned into a full day at the dentist. Never ever again. You just lost business to a family nearby. I am 56 years old (pertinent to the story) Last week, a cap that had been in my mouth had fallen out after 4 years in my mouth . I went to Signal Butte Dentistry to have it re-cemented. I was told that they could get me in the following Friday for an appointment to cement my cap. After going in with my cap in my possession, I was told that it "no longer fit" even though it had fit fine the day before. When I put the cap in my mouth and bit down, it fit perfectly. I just needed something to hold it in there. I was told by the dentist that at 56 years old my tooth had erupted and or grown - even after it had previously been given a root canal and ground down years ago - because the cap no longer fit on my tooth. I obviously knew that wasn't the truth, because I was able to make the tooth fit just fine. I was told that the existing cap/crown had to go, and I had the choice of coming back and having them fit me for a crown created at the lab for a price of approximately $1200, or if I preferred, they could create a crown for me in the office; however, it would be substantially more expensive. I chose the lab-created crown, as it was the last tooth at the back of my mouth and could not be seen clearly anyway. I showed up today and was now told that in addition to fitting me for a crown, the dentist also had to numb me and do some additional dental work. I explained that no one advised me about that before, and that I didn't want additional drilling done. I just wanted a cap replaced, as dentists have a very difficult time numbing my mouth. I asked why no one told me. The office manager looked at me with an annoyed look and said, "I have been managing offices for over 30 years. I thought everyone knew that it was common knowledge that dentists use drills and use Novocain." I told her that it was not common knowledge for someone that isn't in dentistry. I asked the Office Manager if I could have nitrous oxide in addition to the painkiller. She said "no." I asked her if I could have a referral to another dentist. She said "no." I wrote the owner - no reply. Signal Butte Dentistry tried to run up the bill rather than heal a patient. They are not to be trusted. They will bill your insurance for procedures and items that aren't necessary. They are all about the profit and not about the patient. read more

Had a not so great experience here. They ran an add for a $60 dental cleaning for new patients. So I came and they took x-rays and next thing I know they're telling me I need a $1300 dental cleaning. It was honestly humiliating. They still charged me the $60 to poke and prod my mouth before even telling me the actual price. I also found Dr Jimma to be very condescending during the visit, which maybe works for children but I found it to add to the discomfort. This was a horrible horrible experience for me. Have to Rave about Dr. IM, Dr. Ho and the hygienist Christine. They are all very thorough when caring for my families teeth and take the time to do a proper job and perform upmost care. Sometimes the wait times can be longer than normal but it's worth it since they all spend time explaining and paying attention to detail. The front office staff are communicative as well leaving voicemails and have been easy to work with when needing to reschedule an appointment last minute. I especially appreciate how gentle they were with my husband since he hadn't had a cleaning in 25 years and had his first dental visit since then recently and they spent 3-4 hours very thoroughly cleaning and attending to his teeth making sure it was as comfortable for him as possible while enduring fillings and deep cleaning etc.... I decided to move from my old dental office in Queen Creek to Signal Butte Dentistry due to it being located in my neighborhood. This was the best decision I made in regards to my dental care. Dr. Jinna Im was fantastic. She took her time to fully explain and answer all of my questions during my appointment. The rest of the staff from the hygienist to the front desk were all great as well. This place is horrible! They try to up sell everything. I was annoyed during my previous visit (6 months ago) & had declined their recommended services. I went back today to give them another chance and the dentist refused to do my basic cleaning since I was not interested in all of their extra services. All I wanted was a simple cleaning. This office is not communicative about appointments. I had an appointment for my kids to get extensive work done and no one called me to remind me of the appointment or give me details of what I needed to do for their sedation. The appointment was set for several weeks and they called me THIRTY minutes (as I'm already on my way) before my appointment to inform me that 1. They didn't take my insurance (after I was told that they did) 2. The general anesthesiologist wasn't even scheduled to be here today!! What!? This office needs to get more organized if they don't want to continue to lose business because now I'm back to square one when my children desperately need work done. read more

Do NOT go here for your own sanity's sake. I get standard cleanings and decided this office was conveniently close, so I came here. I made an appointment for a cleaning and came in and they did X-rays. The dentist came in and examined my teeth and told me I needed some laser treatment with multiple visits. I said I couldn't afford the nearly $1000 treatment with insurance, and he told me to consider getting better dental coverage. WHAT?! Not only was that rude but I was left humiliated. I asked for just a cleaning like I usually get and they refused a cleaning because he said it wouldn't even "scratch the surface". On top of that, I now have my EOB stating they did additional X-rays that were 2d without disclosing that to me, and that type of X-ray is NOT covered by my insurance. Would be nice to have been told that in the beginning as well as a disclosure of "hey we won't do a cleaning unless you pass our dental test" so that maybe I had the option to chose to opt out of and leave and avoid this mess of a bill for something that didn't even benefit me in anyway. Literally walked in and walked out with nothing done for hundreds of dollars. The billing department has yet to call me back. Please consider going somewhere else. read more

Terrible experience with the dentist, Jinna Im. I scheduled a cleaning, no x-rays. Requested again no x-rays at the front desk before signing the paperwork. Sat down in the chair thinking the hygienist was going to clean my teeth. The dentist, Jinna Im, came in and said if I did not get x-rays they would not clean my teeth. She was very aggressive , just reiterating the policies over and over again and said if I didn't agree then I'm not a good fit for their office. I have 4 kids and a newborn. It takes a lot of work to schedule an appointment, get childcare, and get to the dentist, so I acquiesced and got the x-rays. The dentist came back in and I explained I would not be back to their office because they forced x-rays and did not listen to their patients. I explained I just had a baby and was nursing and didn't feel comfortable getting them. She said I should have told her that at the beginning. I said I did. It's on the paperwork I just filled out. She said we don't read all the paperwork before seeing a patient, only any computer generated red flags. (What?!!) She continued to reiterate policies, clearly not concerned with my frustrations or healthcare needs. This dentist does not care about patients, and does not listen to concerns. The dentist only cares about the bottom line, policies, and her agenda. Gaslighting and bullying at its finest. Do not go here!! read more
