Ridiculously overpriced coupled with a shady return policy! I purchased what I thought were two sets of small shelf brackets. They were priced pretty high for shelf brackets and I'd never heard of the company but I went ahead with the purchase. When I received them I was surprised to find only one set. I thought it was a mistake in shipping until I went back on their website and found they were priced per EACH... ya know, because there's a lot of uses for a single shelf bracket! Anyway, I decided to return them but when I got through the process I was shown that I would receive only a third of my original payment after all their deductions and fees. I purchased a $500 lighted medicine cabinet that had no information on the light options. I assumed they were lightbulbs. Product arrived and I paid an electrician $200 to install it and as soon as it was connected I realized the lights were low and didn't even close to lighting the room - it came with an unreplaceable LED light strip. Called customer service and they acknowledged that the product documents never stated the light type. I was told they could direct me to a site to resell it and said because it was already installed I could not return it. I am not happy. A ticket was opened and someone is calling me back in 24 hours. Called back and asked for Mark Butler CEO and was told they could only take a message. I have directed again at their return policy without any apology. If I could give a less, I would. Floor mounted tub fillers shouldn't even be allowed to be sold. They do not pass inspections with Building Departments as they do not have pressure balancing valves. A customer purchased one that wasn't even certified! How can you knowingly sell a product that could potentially scald the customer? Also, even though their freestanding tubs are quite a bit less than your local plumbing distributors, the delivery is awful. I had two tubs delivered today and the two different drivers just left them in the street! After not calling ahead like requested to make sure someone would be there to accept them. No thank you Signature Hardware. Even though many products are less money, your buyers should be aware of the many negatives that come with that. read more

I have a faucet that is a few years old, and it started leaking. Sometimes faucets leak, no issue really. I called Signature Hardware to find out how/where I can buy replacement cartridges after learning how to replace them via a few Youtube videos. Ok, it really is easy. When I called, they looked up my invoice and immediately told me "No problem! the unit has a lifetime warranty, you'll have it in a few short days". What? Really? They actually MEAN it when they say lifetime warranty! Not to sound absurd, but really in 2017 this is really quite rare. The rep who helped me, Chris, was outstanding. Answered the phone on the 2nd ring, no phone menus, no on hold, no voice mail. Support is located in Kentucky, and they're SUPER professional. I don't think I've EVER written a Yelp review for an online vendor before, but these guys were (are) so awesome, I just wanted to take 5 minutes and share a great experience. If I could give these people no stars, I would. No one likes water damage and understands the nightmare of that, right? A year ago we ordered a pretty expensive ($1000.) shower set ( 4 thermostatic valves, hand spray and shower head). All worked well until this afternoon when the top valve on the wall started leaking. Turn off the water to the house and call the plumber. He says we have to get the replacement "cartridge" which is really just a plastic washer, from Signature Hardware because it is specific to that valve. I call them. It is under warranty so it's free and I ask if we could get two so that if this happens again we can just replace it without having to turn the water off all day to wait to have one shipped to us. I am told by Kai, no, we'd have to wait until it happens again to order another one but if I want to order an extra, it's $29. So I have to wait until there's water leaking out my wall to have one shipped! Ok, it's 4:22pm PST Thursday here and they're in Kentucky. Kai tells me they'll overnight it tomorrow (Friday) and we'll get it Monday! Monday! So as I'm trying to tell her that in this era of being able to get things from Amazon the same day and I've gotten Saturday deliveries with Fed Ex, UPS and USPS, it can't get to me until Monday and we don't have water until then. Common sense was completely absent and I even tried to say, "how would you feel if you had no water all weekend." So from Thursday afternoon until sometime Monday, we're using bottled water for everything! Someone else reviewed Signature Hardware and said they didn't care. That's putting it mildly! Lessons I learned from this: - Buy hardware locally from sources who can provide you with parts right away. - Never buy anything or spec anything (I'm an interior designer) from Signature Hardware. Sgnature hardware has incredible products and just as incredible staff. I first purchased the Bisset chrome shower system and it is stunning, but I lost a piece. I talked to Jerry and he promptly shipped it free of charge even though it was my fault. I also ordered two marble sinks which turned out to be a bit mis matched because they are hand carved. The warehouse guys and Chris searched for a better match, took measurements, sent several pictures and then promptly shipped out the new replacement sink. Each time the service level was superb, I never once felt like I was a nuisance. Everyone I spoke to was genuinely friendly, professional, and seemed very eager to help. Overpriced. I planned my purchases for my bathroom, buying the items for my tubs one payday and a plan to buy my faucets the next payday. I checked that faucets were still in stock the night before payday. They were, and they were priced at $229/ea. I logged on the next day to make my purchase and found that they raised the price to $259/ea--that's +$40 for a brushed nickel finish, as the chrome faucets were still priced at the original $219/ea. I'd love to know why when the items were in-stock. It's not like they paid any more to make them, you know, since they're ALREADY IN STOCK. If I hadn't already matched my pressure balances with these faucets, I would have purchased faucets from anyone else. Based on this exorbitant price increase, which cost me $120, I don't plan to shop here again. It's impossible to plan and manage a budget with astronomical increases like that. read more

I do feel that the products are a decent quality, but the lack of customer appreciation is NOT worth doing business with the company. I received the sink just two days after the order with express shipping. I am happy with the way it looks but I won't be able to install for a couple of weeks. I'll update after I have it installed. Months later after the vanity was installed, I really like this sink. It is perfect for a powder room for hand washing. I like the soft lines of the sink. It is not as sharp and harsh as the more expensive sinks. It is kind of between rustic and super modern - more causual. read more

The service at Signature Hardware has been terrible. We are trying to return a tub. Have waited over 16 hours, over two days to have tub picked up for a return. Signature gives us a time to pick up the tub, we wait, and no one calls or shows up. Then when we call Signature or the carrier R&L we can't get any answers. I asked to talk to a manager in customer service and was told that I had to wait 24 hours for Megan to call back, apparently, she is in meetings all day, two days in a row now. We will never work with Signature Hardware again. The designer for this construction project selected these items and we will for sure let her know what it's been like trying to make a return. These people are pathetic. Don't put your dollars with a screwed up internet company. All their material ship from China. I ordered more than $3,000.00 worth of bath fixtures, tub, and sinks and as they started to arrive I started calling to return them. The first one was a shower panel which had its back wide exposed plumbing. The second item was a tub faucet and two wall mount faucets. After waiting 2 weeks for items to come out of back ordered and realizing that the pieces did not match I called my second return. Guess what? UPDATE: ISSUE RESOLVED: Below was my original complaint of Signature Hardware. Since then, the issue has been resolved. I spoke to a manager who after I explained the story, apologized for the treatment I got and was very friendly. She helped to resolve the issue immediately by sending me the missing nut and bolt at no cost, so we could put the faucet in. As an update I would like to add also, that their products are beautiful, it was just the customer service I was complaining about. I have gotten many compliments on the faucet and sink set. Buyer beware! Hey guys a heads up on a company named SIGNATURE HARDWARE. I purchased a $600 vessel sink(item 226345) and princeton faucet (item #206475) for a bathroom I was designing. Upon arrival the box had a sticker on it which said, "Check box to make sure all pieces are there." I checked the box and it appeared all was in place. I put the box aside for a month as I was gathering the bathroom stuff for when it was to be installed. A month later when the plumber was here he asked where the nut was for the faucet. I said, everything is in the box. I then realized that it was missing. I called the customer service (1-866-855-2284) company and they said, "Sorry there is nothing we can do, go to Home Depot to get it. I said, "But your box had a missing part." They said, "We DO NOT stand behind our stuff after the first week. You called after the first week so it is no longer our responsibility." I said, "Can you tell me the name of the manufacturer so I can get the part number" They said, "NO we can't reveal that information as our company is overseas." I said, "Okay then can you tell me what size nut I need to get.?" "They said, 'Nope, don't know. You can bring your faucet to home depot and they can tell you." They were totally rude and unhelpful. Since the plumber was already here, I ran to home depot. Turns out it was a metric nut that was needed and home depot does not carry them. So I called, Best Plumbing, then a wonderful place called "Metric and Mutlstandards" in Hawthorne, NY, that does carry metric, but did not have that size. They said the piece looked ilke it came from taiwan. Metric said the closest nut to it was a 1.5 metric. Metric then went above and beyond and actually called, Signature Hardware again for me, and was told the same thing, that there was nothing they could do and would not release the name of the manufacturer nor give us the size we needed. I spend a whole day running around trying to look for a part that was missing in the original order. I went to a total of 6 places trying to find the missing nut that SIGNATURE HARDWARE DID NOT SUPPLY. I called back Signature Hardware, they said, "Well we can try to get you the piece but no guarantees and you will have to wait while we look around to see if we can find something that fits." I made several phone calls to them. Today, Friday, Dec. 28th, 2012 Christie from there customer service called and said, "Okay we can send you the missing nut but we have to charge you$14.95 because you didn't tell us right away." I said, 'Why do I have to pay for a missing part that should have been in the order in the first place." She said, "that is our policy because you didn't tell us right away." I called back and spoke to Ashley and asked to speak to a manager. She was polite but said she would talk to the manager. She then got back on the phone and said, "Okay let's compromise, just send us $4.95 for the nut for the shipping." I said, "Okay let me get this straight, unless I send you $4.95 for shipping for a nut that you didn't supply in the first place you will not send it to me?" She said, "Yes, that is our policy because you called us after the 1st week." I spent $600 with them and they are refusing to send me the missing part over a $5.00 cost to them. This is the worst case of customer service I have experienced. Such poor business. They would rather lose a customer (I have 2 other bathrooms to do) than send the missing part to me for free. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I had looked at this site online and liked it. I was concerned about the quality compared to the prices and the refund policy. I was afraid I might order something and it be shoddy when I received it. Since we were going to be in Louisville (fromTexas) we took time to drive on up and check it out. The GPS gave a location a few blocks away, but we found it ok. the layout of the showroom is friendly and inviting. You don't feel out of place. Everyone was very friendly and read to help, not following one around or pushy at all. The lady who helped us made sure we saw what we wanted, even to the point of having the product brought up for us to see as it wasn't in the showroom. She took time to chat with us, also, while we waited. We were impressed with the quality of the products shown and the variety of items. Since we were not going to be home for some while, she made sure we didn't get the delivery until we would be there. (The Fed Ex guy carried and placed it upside down, even though the box showed not to, but it was well packaged and undamaged) We will be shopping here again....already have something in mind. read more

I ordered two oak unfinished vent registers for my new hardwood floors. I was disappointed when they arrived to find the registers did not sit flush to the floor but instead sat on top of the floor. I called Signature Hardware to request a return and the only reason I am giving this company two stars is because their customer service rep was nice. However, I will never use this company again, nor recommend them because they actually charge the customer a 10% restocking fee (unless you accept a store credit) AND they require the customer to pay for the return. In this day and time I think it is poor business to charge your customer for an unsatisfactory product that did not work as described online. Highly disappointed. Bought a teak vanity. After opening found that the color was not that of teak as shown online and left message with customer service. The vanity looked like it had a white coating on it, not the Teak color. Customer Service was great, communicated by emails and photos. Suggested that I put teak oil on it. Well, after 5 coats on the vanity it was beige, still not the deep Teak color. Signature stated after reviewing the packing tag on the box that it was indeed the Teak vanity that I ordered. After all that was said and done I am keeping the vanity. Never again will I order from them! read more

My experience with SH is strictly via their website and customer service so I've never been to this location. I absolutely love them! Their site is one of the best I've seen in their industry and it makes it a pleasure to browse and shop their content. Compare it to MyKnobs which is an abyss of products. I always go to SH first before looking anywhere else. Images are large, descriptions are accurate and reviews are slowly building as customers populate the site. I had an issue with an order and customer service was really quick to correct it, no hesitation. CS is top priority for any business, that's what keeps customers loyal. I'd had a good experience with them the first time I ordered, so they were my first choice when I needed to order a new soapdish. I found kindasorta what I needed (it's just a soapdish, after all) and it came really quickly. But when I installed it, I found that the design was faulty -- it wiggled, quite a lot. Okay, these things happen. So I went online to return, and was told I would have to pay a $1 restocking fee because it was my fault for not knowing that this soapdish wouldn't work in my bathroom. I thought that was kind of ridiculous, and decided that this was my last order with them. Then I got to the UPS store with my paperwork for the return -- only to find out that, oh no, they don't pay for return shipping. So I now have a $9 soapdish that would cost $12 to return. In the end, I have a sink that is not square which I will always look at and regret purchasing. I am not in a position to wait one month for a replacement. I have contractors on a schedule. I am also out $250 dollars due to the counter top needing to be remanufactured to make the sink look somewhat acceptable. I don't think I will be making any future purchases from your company again. I would like everyone to know about my experience with Signature Hardware. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! My partner and I bought a 72 inch bamboo vanity for our remodel/addition. When it arrived I inspected it quickly and found nothing wrong. There was a 72inch heavy Carrara top that was wrapped over three times. I briefly checked that. I thought I should keep it safe from workers ect so it stayed wrapped in original packaging. When the time came for the plumber to hook up the sinks and install vanity we unwrapped the top (Carrara) and it was broken where they drilled the faucet holes. When I called and explained what had happened ( after already spending over $2500.00 ) I was told we would have to pay for a new vanity top and we must dispose of the other one ourselves!!! They were rude and couldn't care less about what our experience with their product. Shame on you Signature Hardware. I can't believe I was treated so poorly. i have a hard time looking past the fact they DO NOT REQUIRE a signature for over $1k in hardware...the mini shit show that caused was a week of migraines, let me tell you. but this is what pissed me off the most...every time i placed an order with them, the shipping address was always different from the billing. with previous orders i had even called after the orders were placed and changed the names/addresses around. i got a call this morning after spending $50 (part+tax+shipping) for a coupling part. suddenly they were worried about my security. the lady told me i needed to forward her proof of identification to get my order resolved or she'd have to call the credit card company. if you don't require a signature for $1k in hardware to make sure it's delivered safely or not, and you'll charge me no problem... WHY suddenly, when my circumstances haven't changed, i charge $50 you're suddenly so worried about my security. i have NEVER had a problem with any other online order i've placed having a different shipping/billing address...ebay, amazon, diapers.com, nordstrom.... no one cares. of course the lady who called me today was apologetic and hoped i would give them another chance...nope. no can do. make up your mind about your rules people. care or don't care about having a different billing/shipping address. make a note on the site that all orders earmarked as such may be reviewed...just be consistent. they offer some great stuff but it's not worth it. find a local dealer. read more

Helping my friend make a living as a contractor , I search for parts on the computer. Got a call the customer wanted a folding shower seat and the attaching wood backing had to be nailed in place today as the tile wall floating was to start after lunch. Calling around and Signature Hardware had the 36" teak unit with the best price !. Placed the order and called them for an installation sheet which Stephanie sent one as we talked . Looking over the directions , I found there was one measurement missing , Stephanie had the guy's pull one out of stock and measure one right over the phone. It has been 30 years since I have had this kind of service ! ! this is the way companies worked back when American companied wanted to help their customers. Fast service, and a lovely doorbell - but I needed to use some steel wool on the back of the button to make the button cause the electric circuit to close, and the screws for securing the wires were so loose that I lost one (it just fell out.) I didn't call customer service, since I really don't want a replacement loose screw or another doorbell that doesn't make a circuit. I'm going to head to the hardware store to look for a screw that fits. Great prices, lovely looking products, speedy shipping - but I'm not thrilled with the quality so far. I just completed a 2 bathrooms remodeling, all the faucets and sinks are very good quality. During remodeling i had to return 2 faucets because when placing the order i didn't realize the reach to the spout was too low for the vessel sink i also ordered thru them. I sent an email, quick response they email me printing labels free of charge for return ,all i did was attached the labels to the same box the faucets came into and dropped them off at Fedex and gave me full refund to purchase the right ones over the phone. Also a tub faucet cartridge went bad...again no hesitation a couple emails very quick response new cartridge in the mail, no charge no questions asked. They stand behind their product, very thrilled all the way around , fair prices and great quality strongly recommend to anyone.. p.s I rarely leave any feedback but these guys deserve it! read more

My wife and I were shopping for a new bathroom vanity. After an extensive search of their products from their website we decided to order a vanity. When we went to place the order nothing happened. No error message, nothing at all, click the add to cart, nothing. We were shopping online in the evening and so we called the next day. It turns out the item has been discontinued, no longer available. What a waste of time. We ordered a handful of items from Signature hardware for our new home (freestanding tub faucet, shower head, couple misc parts & home items). I was a little concerned after reading some reviews that if we had any issues what would happen. All of the bathroom items we ordered, especially the tub filler, were awesome, couldn't be happier and we didn't spend a fortune. One of the smaller items we had a minor problem with, when I reached out to SH they were VERY VERY helpful and prompt (I believe I worked with Rachael and later Megan). We had a color match issue, they went so far as to pull stock from the warehouse and check in person to confirm if things were going to work before shipping. They seriously went above and beyond and I ended up with a corrected item in the mail right away. Couldn't be happier. read more

I've ordered everything from a clawfoot tub, tub, sink and shower faucets, antique style nailheads for my barn doors as well as decorative items and I have to tell you all.....every single thing I ordered was perfect. First, the way they package their items? Unbeatable. So secure and snug and arrived without a single solitary blemish anywhere. The quality of their items are awesome. The clawfoot is stunning and all of the oil rubbed bronze fixtures were super solid. The only complaint I might bring up is that "oil rubbed bronze" feet for the clawfoot are really more black. I went and dry brushed them with a paint to match the fixtures and they were perfect. Definitely recommend this company! We will be back on the site in a few weeks when we tackle the guest bath!
