So I just bought a kitchen faucet. Edison Bridge Swivel-Arm Kitchen Faucet With Lever Handles. I received an email from Signature asking me for a review. I click the link and I'm told that according to their data I've already written a review. No I haven't. So here it is. The specs didn't say what size hole to drill in the countertop. The lady on the phone said 1 3/8. Done. Plumber says hole is too large (he comes up with a work around) I turn on the faucet this evening and the connection joint on the neck of the faucet (the neck is two pieces) leaks. read more

I do a lot of reviews and rarely do I give 5 stars. I'm a contractor and I've bought many items from Signature over the years, from tubs to vanities to faucets, to lights, and I have to say that their customer service is stellar- probably the best I've ever encountered. (And, no, I haven't received any perks for this review.) When you call, you immediately get a human... from the company... not overseas somewhere. I actually had a client once who didn't like a cast iron tub that we bought and Signature shipped a different one for free without even batting an eye. I had bought two faucets five years ago and one of the cartridges went bad. They replaced BOTH faucets for FREE since the item (and parts) were no longer available. Lifetime guarantee on everything. Don't buy anything from this company. I bought a $2000 tub from them a month ago. Then they had an issue with the credit card vendor where it was double charged to my card a few days ago. They did the right thing and proactively reached out via email and phone to let me know this was an issue. Unfortunately, after a few days passed and the charge was still showing up, I called and got "jeff" on the phone. He was snotty and antagonistic and told me that I should dispute the charge with my credit card company directly - he had no timelines or information or next steps in when this would be resolved. No ownership of the issue or follow up. Just 'its your problem'. My plumber also told me that he had a house that used SH fixtures throughout and they all had to be replaced a few years later. I can't speak directly to the product quality but the customer service personnel are deplorable. read more

I found Signature Hardware online searching for cabinet handles. They had a huge selection in lots of styles. I chose a sleek modern 12" polished nickel design. They were reasonably priced. They arrived in the mail quickly, packaged individually to prevent scratching. Hardware was in separate plastic bags. The handles are really nice quality. We haven't installed them yet, but they are going to be perfect! I would order from them again. They are very customer service oriented. read more

UPDATE: This was so unexpected, but a senior person at Signature Hardware called me, left me a very nice message apologizing, said he would make sure that the CSR was given feedback about how to handle these types of calls, and then refunded the restocking fee. He agreed that it should not apply in this case. Too many companies don't take their customer support seriously, but I guess they do. Very nice to see. I'm changing my rating based on that. ---------------------------------------- Poor quality item, but when I tried to return it, discovered a 10% restocking fee hidden in the fine print. The customer service agent following her script did not even ask WHY I was returning it (eg quality issues) and just immediately informed me of this $15 charge, in addition to the return postage I am responsible for ($20). Found exactly what we were looking for at Signature Hardware's website. Ordered the items, a vanity and 2 sinks on April 5th. We were informed that the vanity was currently out of stock and would be available June 5th. We received what I thought was a receipt. We decided to wait for the item we wanted, telling our contractor the anticipated arrival date of the vanity. On the 29th of April we received an updated suspected arrival date of June 12th. We figured a little over a week longer, no big deal! On May 18th it was delayed until June 19th......you can see where I am going with this?! On May 26th delayed to June 29th. At this point it dawned on me that I had yet to actually speak to anyone. I emailed their customer support ( a term I use lightly) I guess I needed to be reassured that the item was still being made. I received a quick response, the next day, with reassurances that the expected arrival date sent to me was the most up to date information available. So, I decided to be patient and wait it out. I was invited to share my thoughts about the customer service I had received and encouraged to rate that customer service. A month later on June 21st we received another delay until June 30th. Then again on June 27th another delay until July 6th. I was beginning to believe we would never see the vanity and at this point my contractor was getting impatient. Lo and behold July 6th came and went with no further delay notices. I decided to reach out again to the customer service contact to find out when I should expect my items. Was informed that a shipment had indeed arrived on the 6th but that my item had not been checked into inventory therefore no shipment had been made at this point. Basically, a couple of days and it should be sent and I would receive my tracking number. I was again invited to rate customer service I had received. On July 12th I still had not received my tracking number. I again emailed customer service. The next day I received an email from them stating they were not checked into inventory and had a call into the vanity warehouse and should have an answer for me later in the day. I received an actual call later that day. They had indeed received my vanity and they would ship it however, they had not billed it to me yet because in April the card I used was an American Express Costco card that Costco had changed to a Visa. We updated the information and I was told that I would be getting an email later that day or the next with the elusive tracking number. I received another receipt! Yet again another invitation to rate the customer service I had received. On July 14th I received an email......nope, no tracking number! Another delay in shipping until August 3rd. Surely, this must be a mistake! I called the customer service rep who informed me that they had received two shipments of these vanities on July 6th and 7th. They had many in stock including the one I had ordered and for others that had been waiting. Unfortunately, he could not tell me why mine was coming up delayed still as there was nobody in the warehouse with which to speak and to please call back in the morning. Guess what, yes, another invitation to rate customer service! I contacted Signature Hardware customer service by phone. After some digging, found out that when they had updated my credit card information my order was sent to the bottom of the list. That the supervisor was contacted and there was nothing they could do. Well there was something I could do! I cancelled my order! Yes, they had the nerve to invite me to rate the customer service I had received! Later that day, I received an email confirmation of the cancellation and included was this statement "We're sorry your order with us didn't work out, but we hope you will visit SignatureHardware.com again. We're confident that you will find an item that complements your home." Ha! I might suggest that Signature Hardware did not make me feel important as their customer. They obviously did not care about their customer service as it sucks! Completely out of touch with their customers! I only rated their customer service once after I had cancelled my order as they had the audacity to send me another survey! By the way, I would not recommend them! read more

Well, I had a situation (the situation is irrelevant as it could have happened to any company) and Signature Hardware stepped up and addressed the problem head on and provided a reasonable resolution. I had been in close contact with Jennifer H. and Arron from the customer service departments on an almost daily basis for 2 weeks. They were responsive, informative and pleasant. All in, the experience was very Nordstrom-like or Ritz Carlton-like. I sell over 100 houses each year and will definitely recommend Signature Hardware to my clients. Like a Mom 'n Pop Shop but on the internet! I found this store using a google search for a hard-to-find corner toilet. The product was delivered and installed in March. I paid a fair price and was happy. A few days ago, my boyfriend dropped a glass jar on the lid and it broke off a piece of the porcelain lid. I was prepared to pay for a new tank/lid so I called SH. The awesome sales rep told me she would ask the warehouse to look for a lid only, and to my surprise they found one and charged me only for the lid! That really made my day and my boyfriend didn't feel so bad about what happened. Thank you Signature Hardware for having caring, nice sales people. So refreshing! Ordered three items from Signature Hardware. First piece arrived shattered. I called and the customer service was outstanding. Sent new sink easily and quickly. Came in excellent condition. Third item also came damaged. And we decided it wasn't big enough (glass medicine cabinet). I asked if I could pay more and get a different model as my replacement. She said "no problem. We will replace broken one with bigger one. No additional charge!" Amazing! Came quickly and again it was perfect. I would highly recommend this company. Unfortunately both items I ordered were duds. The widespread faucet was installed by our plumber and he said the cartridge on the hot water side was defective. It was leaking terribly. After being on hold for a ridiculously long time I gave up and emailed the company, saying we needed a new cartridge quickly to pass our inspection. I did receive an email the next day saying a new one would be shipped out. It took 7 days to get here and this was very frustrating as we were just waiting on the plumbing trim to finish our bathroom. Today the plumber is back but the replacement cartridge has not fixed the problem. It is better but still drip drip dripping. Then he moves on to install the shower head. When the shower is on water leaks out of the side. At least it doesn't drip when not on, but still! We spent approximately $500.00 on this stuff and none of it is working properly. Now I have to deal with returning the faucet. We will have to keep the shower set, as the rough in valve is already installed behind the tile. I will just replace the shower head with a Speakman.. At first I was so impressed because the products looked so beautiful and felt really good to touch. The quality is seriously lacking, though. On top of the quality control the waiting for replacement parts was too long. Next time we do a remodel I am buying all my fixtures from a real live human from an actual brick and mortar store locally. read more

In April '14 I purchased a kitchen island range hood from SH. It arrived exactly as described. Delivery was very prompt as we are in NC so close to KY. I placed my order using AMEX which was the only snafu in my order as CS contacted me and required a copy of my drivers license or a copy of my physical AMEX card. It seemed odd to me considering that AMEX did not flag it for any reason and the charge was successful. Though CS was very easy to deal with and explained that it was company policy for large orders. Signature hardware's sight does not allow reviews unless they are stellar - I ordered product on thier website only to find out it was backordered a couple of days later - after already purchased. They refunded the money quickly but i though it was poor that they took my money at all when the product was not available. I like the products they sell but dont like that they charged my creidti card for a product not in stock without a least informing me before taking my money. I made an online purchase recently at the recommendation of the guy we hired to install ADA grab bars. We needed a special wall-mounted, u-shaped bar for next to the toilet. Signature had it. If you are looking for ADA compliant grab bars, they have an excellent selection. We just needed standard stainless steel, and what we received was very high quality. It arrived in good condition but didn't have a template so I called them thinking they forgot to give me a template. I was told that item has no template. Unless you are a handyman (or woman) and because of the way the towel bar hangs I now will have to make my own template and just hope I get it right. When they requested a delivery date for my $3000 vanity, they wouldnt schedule for a week out. I was out of town on business. They confirmed they would call me when they were at my house so I could open my garage remotely and let them in. This was clearly important, because the day they wanted to deliver, there was a snow storm. When they arrived at my house, they left the pallet with the double vanity in the driveway. No call! I called them back immediately (thanks ring doorbell). Two minutes after delivery the company refused to go back. No one signed, they just left this in the driveway before 8" of snow. However getting into the store is a problem in and of itself. Once I got an appointment and got into the store I found there was no one else being served while I was there And I wondered why I really needed an appointment??? i replaced a moen sink I've had for 18 years with a very similar Infinite sink purchased from Signature Hardware. I SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH MOEN. The SH sink does not hold water on the prep sink side. They've shipped two replacement plugs, neither of which even attempts to hold water. I even applied vaseline on the plug rim, per my engineer bro, to try to get it to seal. No way; the SH sink is designed to NOT hold water, apparently. SH tells me they will ship me a replacement collar and plug (#3) for this defective sink but will not pay to have the contractor switch out the two collars. Nice. And, given the experience so far with SH sinks, what would lead me to believe that the replacement collar/plug would actually seal???? Thank goodness I didn't buy an Infinite kitchen faucet from SH. read more

Would give fewer stars if I could. Terrible customer service, Terrible and misleading website. Have your contractor make the purchase, because nothing is explained. They have the overflow drain, a required feature for bathtubs in MOST states, under a menu labeled "optional finishes". No warning, no explanation. I am a UX designer and I would NEVER expect the user to have this specialized knowledge, especially when it conflicts with my label. A tool tip is EXTREMELY easy to add. Then, they gave my contractor and me different stories. To me, they said it was that it was simple to drill the hole. To the contractor, they said not to do it because it was easy to mess up. I asked them to recommend someone local that could do it. They basically told me to stuff it. Everyone I talked to said they'd be hesitant to risk making a mistake on such an expensive tub. Then they have the gall to charge me a return fee after the wild goose chase they sent me on. My project is weeks delayed because of this. read more

I have had mixed experiences with the company. One positive customer service experience was with a marred copper sink that was replaced; a not so good experience was with a porcelain sink issue. It seems if they can send a new item, than that is the modus operandi in solving a problem. I had the ability to repair the porcelain sink, with a minor hairline crack, but could not get the color code from them and when asked manufacturer spec data, told it was proprietary. So if you are seeking for granular details of items, good luck. The quality of the wood vanity and granite countertop was good and made it through shipping channels with zero damage. read more
