The items received, two towel warmers, were advertised as having an "oil rubbed bronze" finish; however, they are actually just painted, not even powder-coated. There are areas where the paint has flaked off the metal, likely due to damage during shipping. This is one of the ways I determined the poor quality finish, the other is visually, when observed within approximately two feet, the towel warmers look painted. Installers beware, their shower valves do not offer Trim Extensions Kits. The only manufacture that doesn't offer one, so plumber, drywaller and tile man have to work at the same time in order to set the correct depth, otherwise if you do it on your own, be ready to demo the tiles at the end. This company was a real pleasure to do business with. Their website is easy to navigate, their pricing is fair and their communications once you place an order are very good. They sent tracking numbers for my items once they were shipped and I received my items within a few days after placing the order. Unlike some internet-based companies that also sell home improvement items, this company seems to keep items they sell in stock at their facility, rather than simply drop shipping everything from the manufacturers which is definitely a bonus. When I recently had to return one item I purchased from Signature Hardware, the process was also quick and hassle free. They sent me the RMA# and the address where I needed to ship this item back to, and also sent a label to attach to the box which gave them a barcode to scan once it reached them. Within a few days after I shipped the item back to them, I had my refund with no hassle or followup required on my part. A few things to note are that they DO charge a re-stock fee when you return items (10% restock fee in my case), and in certain cases they will only issue a store credit to you, rather than a refund. The rod was cheap, started to sag, and looked terrible. I called customer service and sent them pictures and video. We Bought a vanity for a clients home. The first thing that was wrong was there was 2 blemishes on the drawer front. I asked for a replacement and all they could do for me was give me a discount. Then when we went to install we realized the sinks do not line up with the cabinet fronts. It is also not made to code and we can not use the top. Signature Hardware is the most incredible company. About 5 years ago, I purchased a bathroom mirror from them. It was hung on the tiled wall, with 2 small brackets. The mirror started slipping out of the brackets, so I called customer service to get info on rehanging the mirror. They were so helpful, and advised me to remove it from the wall, as they deemed it not to be safe. They offered to replace it for a different mirror or refund my money. I received a check yesterday! I haven't bought anything major or particularly expensive--neither tubs nor fancy showerheads--so I have no feedback about big-ticket items. I've bought a lower-end wall-mount towel warmer and a few pieces of bathroom accessory hardware. The wall-mount towel warmer was defective (it has a piece that was manufactured incorrectly so it sits at a non-right angle) and Signature Hardware was very friendly and efficient about a warranty claim. The smaller pieces of hardware I've bought have been very well-made and competitively priced. A disaster was turned into a very experience. Full disclosure: I"m a consumer advocate and author of the book "Negotiate Anything! Secrets to Make Businesses Treat You Fairly". On Amazon, Barnes & Noble. In 2013, we built a new home and ordered a SH tub and filler. After a year or less, the filler developed a hairline crack in a bend. SH sent out a new one. It happened again and they sent out a new one. It happened a third time so we replaced it with a Made in the USA Delta. In fact they are made in Jackson, Tennessee. They aren't inexpensive, but they have a lifetime warranty and stand behind their product. So does SH. Read on... At this point, we had a great deal invested in the first SH filler and labor to switch it out several times. SH made good. While we had a disappointing product problem several times (Made in China), we had a positive, friendly customer service experience in the end. There is a difference between customer service and customer delight. Customer service is what a consumer expects. Customer delight is when a company goes the extra mile to surprise you. We had asked SH to split the incremental cost with us. They provided customer delight by 100% covering the original filler and the incremental labor to keep installing defective ones. They are are paying to have the old one picked up so their technical team can try and understand what is happening to prevent it in the future. Based on this experience, we would continue to be a customer. We love the tub and we also purchased a teak wood bath bench. The first teak bath bench cracked. We were referred to Signature Plumbing by our custom kitchen cabinet maker.The show room is really nice and the customer service was excellent. The prices are appealing! Ultimately however, we're not very happy with the quality of at least 50% of the things that we purchased. As examples, our vent hood has lights that burned out within six months of installation (both the left and right) and they are very awkward to replace. Replacing the halogen lights every few months is a major pain (and yes it was professionally installed by our electrician who wired the entire house). Another example is our kitchen faucet. The button that changes the water from stream to flow cannot be locked. In other words you have to hold the spray button. Now, the spray button jams in the "on" position and we can't get it to return to flow without a lot of finagling. Finally, we love the freestanding acrylic tub that we purchased. Super simple and Zen. It was in the "scratch and dent" section and the scratch was barely noticeable to us and is not at all noticeable after installation. However, they plumbed it with the pop-up drain plug in the center of the tub. So... When you change position in the tub you inevitably bump the pop-up with your back end and water starts to drain. Just makes position change ridiculously complicated! Ultimately, we save a lot of money at a time when money was flying out the door faster than we could keep track of it. During a whole house remodel. Two years after we moved in, we plan to replace the kitchen vent and the kitchen faucet. Not cost effective in the end. read more

Since my contractor couldn't start til 1/6 and the job was taking 6 weeks, I allowed it. On 1/7 confirmed with Haley that it was still supposed to arrive on 1/31. Nothing arrived. On 2/5 contacted them, asking where it was. Haley said she'd look into it and get back to me. On 2/9, with the contractor ready to wrap up the job, I gave up and asked for a refund. Now I have to go out in the cold and snow and find a light fixture that I like that is in stock somewhere. Terrible Customer Service. A few years ago we remodeled our entire bathroom and bought a double curved shower curtain rod, a huge round pivot mirror, and a few small bronze hooks from Signature Hardware. The mirror started to get mirror rot within 2 months of being installed even though our bathroom is very well ventilated and the shower curtain rod is rusting worse within a year than our old 45 year old one that we replaced. Any company offers to let you purchase an entire new product from them without replacement parts offered because it is cheaper for them obviously has cheaply made, poor products. The lifetime warranty only extends to the original purchaser who can prove they purchased the item. So if you buy a house from someone else with a fully remodeled bathroom with signature hardware products, you're out of luck. The company represented to me that the replacement faucet they recommended I purchase would be like kind to the old faucet. It was not. A lightly used faucet with a price tag of $750 failed after 10 years. With no replacement parts offered. They said I should try to work on getting them to warranty the product with original purchase information which I tried to do. The company located the original purchaser, a contractor, and since he didn't have his original purchasing information they would not transfer the warranty to me even though they knew full well that the purchase was connected to my very expensive products. I was even willing to buy a new faucet from them since they said it would be compatible with the old one which it was not. They tried to blame my master plumber throughout the whole process. My plumber spent a full day trying to find parts that would work for the new faucet, and $800 in labor later he was not successful. They changed their faucet sometime and couldn't even provide us accurate specifications for the old faucet to ensure it was compatible. They led me to believe they would honor the warranty and then bailed out last minute. All they did was let me send them back the new one for a refund... My plumber just replaced the old faucet with a high quality, $1200 faucet which works great, but now the signature hardware drain is leaking in the large standalone tub ($2,800 tub). I have original info for both products. Since they don't make ANY replacement parts (or even have knowledge of their own products) I'm basically looking at a full bathroom remodel since the tub leaks and I've already spent about $3,000 due to their poor recommendations, misleading information regarding their warranty and poor products. I click the link and I'm told that according to their data I've already written a review. No I haven't. So here it is. The specs didn't say what size hole to drill in the countertop. The lady on the phone said 1 3/8. Done. Plumber says hole is too large (he comes up with a work around) I turn on the faucet this evening and the connection joint on the neck of the faucet (the neck is two pieces) leaks. read more
