Eva made me and my hubby's face glow like Moses' when he came down from Mount Sinai(All my churchy folk will get that)! I came in with a glow already but that's because my combination skin leans more to the oily side and has me always walking around like a freshly glazed donut lol, but after my facial, Eva calmed the inflammation in my face down drastically and decongested my oily pores, leaving my face tight, right, and naturally glowy! She had hubby's face who is more on the dry side, fully hydrated and beard looking healthy and moisturized! When we woke up today our skin still looked great and mines was NOT oily like normal. And what can I say about Joy who is my personal JOY.....her massage gave such an incredible, relaxing, and liberating experience that I didn't know whether to cry or shout for joy afterwards!! Like, she hit points on my body that I did not even know were there or tight and for me and hubby who work a highly laborious job and workout throughout the week on top of that, we needed that release and flexibility that Joy gave back to our bodies. So after doing research discovered that sugaring is being used at some places instead of waxing. Found several places in Columbia that uses sugaring but couldn't get an appt so ended up going here. Place: located in the Vista. Easy to find, metered parking. The inside is very well laid out and decorated. A nails technician works there too. They perform other things besides sugaring. Mabel: she was the lady that gave me my sugaring. She made the experience easy enough while being in such a vulnerable and embarrassing position. She stated that she had almost 12 years at what she does. I was hesistant about her application but she reassured me and did not did twice into the sugar. If necessary she used a new glob. She was very professional. Experience: PAINFUL. This was my first experience in such a tender area. I have have my eyebrows threaded and waxed several times but this pain was different. She assured me that new waxers state it is painful the first few times but as you adjust you adapt. I guess this is true b/c i can get my eyebrows done without a muscle twitch. I would fore warn newbies to take 2 pain relievers at least before going like Tylenol or something. During she applied baby powder b/c i was sweating so much. The sugaring felt warm and applied easily. Afterwards i made sure to wash in the store any excess. When she was finished I love the results. It was smooth and soft. Some reddened areas but she applied a special lotion to prevent breaking out. She even went over how to care for the area. The room: was clean and new sheets applied after I was through. All her products looked well care for. The only thing I didn't like was the positioning of the doorway, once she had to answer a call and when she exited I was left exposed when she opened the door. Also, I wish it had thicker walls b/c I could here her and the client before me clearly while I was in the waiting area. At home: the hair didn't return for almost 4 weeks and my skin wasn't irritated at all. I would definitely do it again, with her or a different facility I'm not sure yet. Price: I pay $55 for student discount but the services are pretty pricey.

I haven't had my eyebrows waxed in probably 15 years but I decided to try her out because there isn't anyone in Pensacola that threads and can achieve a well shaped brow. I was very pleasantly surprised. She offered me something to drink and asked if the music playing in her shop was to my liking. She took her time and this was the least painful wax I have ever had! Halfway through she had me check to see what I thought, I asked her to modify the shape some and I love the end result. The next time after they've grown back in some more I'm sure they'll be the exact shape I used to get threaded from a lady in Chicago on the Millennium Mile.
