Love trying food from places all over the world. So I was delighted to find this Uzbekistan restaurant. The interior is really nice, you as if you walk into a different world, so to speak. It is spacious, and after us it filled up quick. The service is good, but a bit slow, due to the many guests and the shortage of personnel. Eating Uzbekistan food is a new experience for me, and overall I liked it, I expected it to be more flavorful though in regards of seasoning. The Turkish coffee was great and a good way to end the night. Would love to come back and try some other dishes. The portions are big, so I recommend to order different items and share. I had the Plov an totally forgot to make a picture of it.

The food here is absolutely delicious! It seems very authentic too. It is great to do family style here and it is easy to try a bunch of different dishes. The salads were some of my favorite dishes. The service was great and it is a great spot for lunch or dinner. I brought all my kids here and they liked it so they are pretty kid friendly too.

Delicious authentic food. Very pleasant experience and convenient location. It is a couple blocks from East-West Cultural and Educational Center. I will recommend the restaurant to students and parents there.

This was $3.49 - to get vision of the size it's about 6" x 3"

It was ok, everything I got was of a much smaller size than I expected, and I'm not a big eater or anything. This picture is the Kutabi w/ fresh herbs. It was the size of half a pita - a small pita. For $3.49 I'm expecting at least the size of a whole pita. It looked like someone ate half of my food

The soup was delicious. I would come here every single day if I could just to have the soup. The paulow was good and I really like the tenderness of the meat. The Samsa was delicious crispy and flaky and the sauce that came with it was really really really yummy. I loved the decor and the presentation of the Turkish coffee was so adorable. Service was also really nice!! They also have a space for people to pray.

Ordered plov and lamb tenderloin kebab. Tasty meal I usually combine the two for more lamb in the plov.

i have been to silk road many times and go back because they consistently provide good food with food flavor and large portions i have previously enjoyed the naan, pulav and dumplings - all of which were good this time ordered the pulav, naan, eggplant salad, greek salad and khachapurri the pulav, naan, eggplant salad, and greek salad were really good. the khachapurri was alright

I looooove this place, I wish we had discovered it sooner. The juiciest chicken kabob in the world, so flavorful. I'm so excited that they deliver. Yummy manti dumplings (beef, pumpkin, and potato), fried and not fried. Didn't love the plov, but everything else, and the super fun atmosphere (complete with color changing lights!) was great and homey. I'm not Uzbeki, but the food still felt similarly as comfy as Pakistani food to me.

Very interesting hole in the wall. Place was dead when we went earlier this week. I really did not like our server. The experience and this review would have been better had I had someone else. As someone with a life threatening food allergy, I asked if anything had nuts? The server responded by saying no but we use oil and I said okay what kind? And she said I don't know it's in a big box no one knows, implying she would not find out for me. Okay. Fine. I wasn't going to ruin the night for the people I was with so I just took my chances assuming no Uzbek place would cook with peanut oil Thankfully I was right. When the food finally came out it was surprisingly delicious. I got plov and we had a bunch of apps. I would consider going back if I had a different server next time.

I had a very mediocre experience. I recently saw a YouTube series about Uzbekistan food and made me really excited. Even though they showed horse meat which I wasn't interested in nor do Uzbeki restaurants in USA sell horse meat dishes. I had so high hopes but was pretty disappointed. We tried the kutabi (an Azerbaijan food with fresh herbs or minced meat). Megruli Khachapuri, a pizza like food with cheese from the country Georgia. Megruli was the best thing I ate that night. Chicken Kebab was so tough, unflavorful and chewy. I think middle Eastern people make the best kebabs. Those kebabs be it chicken or lamb are so nicely marinated and thus the final product is much better and flavorful than this. Even the fried crispy manti (dumplings) of sweet potato was so mediocre. Unfortunately didn't try the Plov as I was not interested in having lamb and there was no substitute.

Been here a few times and never had a bad experience. Service is great, establishment is clean, staff is extremely friendly,, free parking out back, extremely fair prices,, overall great place. The kebabs are amazing. We always get steak, chicken or lamb and veg. Tried the cup of borscht which is really a small bowl and it is authentically perfect and has that perfect red color. The Tashkent salad is a must have and a half is perfect for two. Tonight they had a special, Ajaruli, loosely translated is an egg boat. Fresh baked bread with an egg and cheese in the middle. Amazing. Def go check it out.

The room is spacious and beautiful, the staff is kind and welcoming. The food is hands down delicious. Crisp veggies, juicy meats, and perfectly sweet desserts. You really gotta try it. If you're not familiar with the type of food, it is an Herby semi eastern European flavor using close of Indian or Mediterranean techniques. However, it is in fact a wonderful cuisine all it's own. So good!

    Do they deliver?

Yes they do through Uber Eats, Postmates, Doordash, and Grubhub.

    Can I byob?

Yes, yes you can. That said, they now offer beer and wine. The wine is very affordable. When we saw the list, we thought the prices were a bit high for a glass of wine--around $14 if I recall. Then the waitress explained that was for the entire… Read more

Unfortunately, multiple attendees became ill afterward with symptoms consistent with food poisoning. I reached out directly to the owner to inform them and discuss the situation, but I never received a response. To make matters worse, I later learned that when my client contacted the restaurant, the owner blamed the issue on me rather than addressing the concern. I understand that issues can occasionally happen in food service, but the lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism afterward was extremely disappointing. I would strongly encourage others to consider this when deciding whether to use this restaurant for catering, especially for large groups.

I ordered the lamb+beef kebab and a turkish coffee, as you order at the counter and then the food is brought to you. Upon doing so, I was asked if I wanted to save the coffee for after my meal. Since this is the best way to enjoy Turkish coffee, I obliged, and it was served to me right as I was finishing my meal. The service was great in this respect. As for the food, I was quite pleased! The meat was cooked well, the basmati rice I ordered with it was flavored well, and the coffee had both great taste and presentation. The order also came with a side of lentil soup, which was decent, but the rest of the dish was what I was most excited about. I will definitely find myself back here when I'm craving some middle eastern food!

I placed an online…read moreorder for a regular Goat Biryani, mild spice level, which is literally the same order I get almost every single time because I cannot handle spicy food at all. When I picked up the order and started eating it, it was extremely spicy to the point where I could visibly see all the spice in it. It was completely inedible for me. I called the restaurant politely just to let them know there may have been a mistake because I know for a fact I ordered mild. I even double checked while placing the order because this is something I always order the same way. Instead of trying to help, the guy on the phone kept insisting that I ordered spicy. That made absolutely no sense because why would I intentionally order food I literally cannot eat? I have no tolerance for spice at all. What made it worse was how dismissive and rude the conversation became. He kept saying things like "I heard you correctly" and blamed it on two orders coming in at the same time. Instead of taking accountability for a simple mistake, he kept trying to argue with me and basically imply I was lying about my own order. I even went back to the restaurant to explain the situation in person, and he still kept insisting that I had ordered the biryani spicy. At that point I was so frustrated that I just threw the food away in the trash right in front of them and left because there was clearly no effort being made to resolve the issue. The frustrating part is this is not even the first issue I've had here. Another time they completely gave me the wrong order but I didn't make a big deal about it because mistakes happen. This time was different because of how poorly the situation was handled and how defensive the employee became instead of trying to resolve it professionally. I've been ordering from here for a while, but after this experience and the customer service I received, I definitely will not be returning.

To my luck, we had great Uzbek food less than 15 mins away! It was a while ago but we ordered the samsa, manti, kutabi, plov, and chohohbli, and I can't recall what else but we loved it! Last night my husband and I decided to dine in. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with cultural artifacts and art. This may just be a me thing but the serveware was envy worthy. It was gorgeous. I'm obsessed with beautiful dishware. There were only two people taking orders and serving food for an almost full dining room so we were understanding of a bit of a wait time. The staff were very friendly and checked in on us when they could. We ordered the khachipuri, samsa, oxtail, chohobli, steamed rice, pilmeni, and hot tea. Both the khachipuri and samsa were flaky pastries: khachapuri filled with a salty stretchy cheese with a cheese pull that tasted better than it was Instagram-able and samsa filled with a savory meat/onion mixture served with a tomato based sauce. Get one per person because you will not want to share. We ordered fried mini dumplings which are filled with meat and also served with same tomato based sauce that came with the samsa. They were delicious but afterwards I saw that you can get them steamed in a broth, I told myself I have to get that next time. The slow-cooked, tender oxtail was served over the best crispy, fat-fried potatoes I've ever had. The chohobli (chicken stew) was fall off the bone into a delicious tomato-based stew. We ordered the rice to sop up the delicious stew. The tea really helped to cut the richness of all the delicious food. I have not shut up about this place since we had this meal.
