Honey Cake
Camilo V.

The best! We loved it all leave room for dessert the honey cake was my favorite it's light and tastes like coffee.

Plov

Excellent experience as always. The eggplant salad, kabobs, and Plov were all great and the service was great.

Lagman

This is an absolute hidden gem. We stopped in at couple times and absolutely loved everything we ordered. The staff was very nice and pleasant. Our favorite would be the grilled chicken wings- absolutely amazing. The Crispiest Skillet-Fried Potatoes- loved!Potatoes seasoned with fresh herbs and garlic. The Lagman- Beef strips, Handrolled noodles, radish, long bean, bell pepper, Turnip - very flavorful and delicious. Something different and delicious!

The most glorious, heartily nourishing soup for body and soul, filled with tradition and taste!

I just feel so lucky and blessed to have a real, authentic, honest-to-goodness Uzbek restaurant nearby! I love going there & I love ordering delivery from there, too .... If you go it's so very neat & cool because they have partitions made of hanging fabrics & not the kind of fabrics you'd normally see in this area but that are of course thankfully evocative of the place where they & the food are both from. It's very unusual for people or places such as restaurants to present things in such a way -- normally, there might be some kind of evocation of the place of origin of the food in the form of, say, art on the walls but nothing so all-encompassing as what is offered here! It's very different. Uzbekistan is literally in the air here in the form of scents of food wafting from the kitchen .... I enjoy so many of the foods here! This is a lot to say considering the vegetarianness of my food-ordering & eating habits, & I can let you know with full confidence that if you only order vegetarian food here (or from here!), you will not go hungry. The potato manti (dumplings) alone can fill you up. The punch is very tasty & an incredibly good deal, too! When I have this at home, I drink the liquid & there is some wonderful fruit concoction left over in the bottom that I spoon into wine glasses & eat as a dessert -- but don't worry, they have desserts, too! The mushroom soup might be the best thing I've had from here -- I don't know if that sounds exciting to you, but I love soup! This is a really great one. Mmm .... It's super-hearty, extremely tasty, & ... it's got a good amount of something succulent such as oil that I'm afraid to mention given today's current climate of fear around fats but that's what you need on a cold winter day, in my opinion! It's deeply nourishing physically & emotionally & tastes great, too! It's everything you could want or need in a soup! Second-best in my opinion is the Kachipuri. It's nice & salty and I find that ve-ry appealing; it reminds me of the burekas I grew up making with my mom, & I like that it brings back such wonderful memories plus tasting superb, as well. Oh, & it's flaky & crispy & all those other things you'd want in a pastry, too -- baked to perfection & all of that, yummy! The green onion Kutabi wasn't exactly my favourite thing ever but at the same time, I did appreciate the nutrition I was getting from it & of course I must try it with some of the other fillings next time! One thing I know is there will be a next time, & a next time, & a next time ... because I just love this part of the world (central Asia) -- speaking of which, the name of this place is so perfect! Some places that people might consider remote & think of as 'backwards' or 'inaccessible' have actually long been connectors of places and therefore, also very connected themselves, & the name of the restaurant, the décor, & the food all speak to and show this to be true! Of course, if you go in person & talk to, say, your server, then the person with whom you speak will show this, too -- I mean, this is true, whether or not you see it! I always like to talk to people so for me, this is especially true! The mashed potatoes are nice -- maybe a little lumpy -- but ... not too special, in my view. I mean, I think they were very special when they were first made way back when! I just expected a little more flavour in them since I read that they were perfectly spiced but I didn't really experience them as being spiced at all -- but that can be good when you want something to just add to something else; I did add a bit of the mashed potatoes to my second bowl of soup, & it was a good combination! (I'm trying not to repeat 'Mmm' all the time -- but it really fits!) The Medovik cake was good but ... the truth is, I'm not a big fan of cake for the most part, so I'm probably not the best judge of this. I do believe I need to try -- & report on! -- some of their other desserts .... In case you can't tell, I ordered an awful (well, actually wonderful!) amount of food for one meal & this did last two people at least two if not three meals -- plus fruity snacks and beverages! I really wanted to get some other things, too, such as salads but I could see it would all be way too much & so I got things that I thought would last a bit -- and yes, they did! I mean to say that a salad should be eaten sooner than, say, a soup because it could wilt and go bad & all that, and I didn't want that happening so I had to resign myself to trying some things such as various salads later .... I can't wait for the time I get to do that! This is more than just food. Of course, sure, every food must have some kind of tradition behind it, some kind of history -- even if it was just invented & made for the first time ever! -- but this food, when I say it has tradition, I mean it has a deeply meaningful feeling for me that nourishes not only my body but my soul .... It's the best!

Fantastic food! I've never had Uzbekistan food before and this was so good! Everything was so fresh. Our waiter was very pleasant. And the restaurant is very cute inside, not what I was expecting. Definitely want to go back.

Lagman Soup (4 stars)
Phi N.

Wasn't really sure what to expect coming here, but I'm sure glad I came to give it a try. We split the ground beef, steak, & chicken kebabs, lagman soup, and fried Manti. The kebabs and potatoes were delicious, but the soup was equally as good. The fried manti were solid, but I think I would have preferred them to be a little smaller (changes the ratio of meat to fried outside).

Back again! We got a few of the same items as last time and a few new ones. I won't review what we got from our first visit. What we got: Avocado salad - 5* an great salad. Nothing exotic about it but will satisfy the member of your party who's always asking for a salad Pickled vegetables - 3* not my favorite but if you like pickled things you will like this! Goluptsi - 5* Samsa - 4* And we got one more dish, I don't recall its name but I wasn't a huge fan. 3* is what I'd give it

Went here with no expectations. Without much knowledge about the food either. What stood out immediately was presentation. The menu is sleek and metal and had a nice intro paragraph about the cuisine and what we should try if unsure. I liked how the seating looked for the larger parties. Don't have a picture, but I'm sure you can find it on other people's pictures. Great home feeling, and good for conversation. What was recommended was the plov. A nice sweetness in the rice from the raisins and carrots. Satisfactory but wasn't something outstanding to my tastes. Samsa was out of this world. Flaky pastry combined with savory meat with bits of onions. Piping hot. I almost want to just order 5 of these next time I come. And I would be happy. Excited to come back and try more. The soups looks interesting, and want to try more of the meats.

I normally don't eat at Cava because healthy food doesn't typically excite me, however, since I have been eating poorly lately I decided to give this a try. I came with a colleague for lunch. I decided to get a custom warm bowl ($9.95) which included: herb roasted chicken ($4.65), roasted tofu ($2.65), cucumber, carrot, arugula, and spinach (choice of four toppings). I also got a can of Cola ($3.65). I loved my bowl, the chicken was nicely seasoned and I haven't had tofu in a while so I really enjoyed it. I thought the bowl and soda were both pricy, however, had I stuck to a bowl off the menu, I would have saved a bit. Unlike Cava and other similar operations, I like that they have a large selection of sauces to choose from. I enjoyed the Chipotle and Ranch sauces. The restaurant has limited seating, but most patrons got their food to go. There is street parking, a garage, and a lot behind the restaurant. They have two types of loyalty programs, one is free and the other one is an annual membership that offers additional perks. I really enjoyed my bowl and would return albeit not frequently given that it's a bit pricy. Glad I decided to give it a try.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell they care about the details, from the chic interior design to the beautiful plating of each dish. The Food (Pure Excellence): * The Papaya Salad (Som Tum): Perfectly balanced--spicy, tangy, and super fresh. It's the perfect way to wake up your palate. * Shrimp Yum Salad: The shrimp were plump and perfectly cooked, tossed in a bright, herbaceous dressing that tasted incredibly authentic. * The Fried Whole Fish (Pla Rad Prik): This was the showstopper. The fish was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. It's a must-order if you're with a group. * Pad See Ew: Often a "basic" dish, but they elevate it here with a great smoky wok-hei flavor and just the right amount of seasoning. Some other dish were special order not sure what they call but was fantastic The Experience: What really stood out was the presentation. Every plate looked like a work of art before we even dug in. The service was wonderful--attentive without being overbearing--and they are very kid-friendly good pricing, which makes it a stress-free spot for a family dinner. The Verdict: Whether you're a Thai food aficionado or just looking for a solid neighborhood spot, Ahhaan delivers on every level. Authentic flavors, beautiful vibes, and great hospitality. We asked the host for an odd favor and not only did she honor it, but also followed up well after we were seated. Our server, Josh, was so knowledgeable on the menu items (both food and beverages) and gave the best recommendations. Our drinks were delicious and strong, and the food was reasonably priced and pretty tasty. We left stuffed and had to go boxes so you can say you get a bang for your buck. We did have an issue with one of our entrees, but it was quickly handled with care. All in all, zero complaints. Burtons is a solid choice for a casual restaurant.

I reached out and was speaking to the back end and was told that they were sorry for the quality and quantity of food and that they would mail me a gift card. I am attaching a photo of receipt of how much we ordered. We ordered a chocolate cake, the photo online showed a massive slice of cake, ours looked as if someone cut half of it off where the cake is supposed to be pointed. $12 for half a cake. My bfs meal was supposed to come with two sides. He ordered mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The mashed potatoes were in with the steak and it was a small portion that looked like a small ice cream scoop, ribeye ($49.00). We did not get the Cole slaw. We ordered a house side salad. It was literally a huge chunk of iceberg lettuce thrown in a bowl with some of the sides. ($14.00) I ordered the steak frites (34.00) the fries were fine, my steak had these weird pieces (see photo) inside, that were veins or ligaments but def not edible and very chewy and gross. I chewed a few pieces and kept having to over chew and then would spit out the pieces because it was rubbery, after the second piece I noticed the texture and then spit it out, then saw whatever it was that was causing the texture and issue. Seeing that immediately made me lose my appetite. So I was left hungry and turned off by my meal and filled up on calamari and fries. I have ordered this before and it usually comes with a nice amount of slices. Mine came with four pieces of sliced steak. We ordered the calamari and had no complaints. The back end comes to my house and drops off a GC of $25.00! Which to me is an insult. For that they can keep their cheap cop out. I will not be back. We spent $134.00 and tipped $19.00 for a take out order. And all they could give us back for a terrible experience and quality of food was $25.00?! Their salad alone was $14. The cake is $12. So basically come back spend more money and we will cover one simple thing but several of your items were sub par and or gross. I would not recommend. This restaurant took a lot of money and did the bare minimum to fix the issue and threw a minimum amount to appease the customer. But didn't mind taking my hard earned money, which I will now spend elsewhere. I also will be mailing back the card. Whoever came to my condo to drop off the gift card came at midnight. Which to me is weird and an odd time to come to someone's house. I have it on security video.
