Tandori Kabab is tucked away in the otherwise very busy area of Golden Ring. It sits right on the corner of Philadelphia Road and Rossville Blvd. The restaurant itself is simple and clean. It's not fancy, but it's simply decorated and a good place to catch lunch. I looked at the menu before I arrived and called in my order. I settled on the boneless chicken tandoori meal. I also requested the green chatni (chutney?) sauce. It came with stewed curry chickpeas, salad, basmati rice & naan. I got the garlic naan and I believe it's an up charge for the garlic version. They give you two big pieces, which could be saved for a quick sandwich the next day. I was less than ten minutes away from the restaurant, so there was a bit of a wait for my meal to be prepared. After about ten minutes, everything was ready. When I got home, I was so excited when I pulled the container from the bag. The aromas of garlic, spices and flavors filled my home. I poured the chatni sauce over my chicken, rice and salad. It was all so amazingly delicious. The chicken was ridiculously tender and flavorful. The salad was simple and fresh. And the stewed curry chickpeas were surprisingly very tasty! I normally do not like consistency of raw/uncooked chickpeas, but in this meal, they were so very good! With tip, the meal came to about $28. A bit on the pricier side, but not a huge shock with the current state of the economy. The servers and host were accommodating and very kind. Food - I ordered the Tandoori Chicken Leg Platter which includes Tandoori chicken leg, Rice, Naan, Chickpea curry, salad and yoghurt chutney. The chicken was cooked perfectly and delicious. Naan was slightly chewy but it was great for scooping up with chickpea curry. I also had the Chicken Seekh Kabob and it was well seasoned and tender inside. Lastly, the mint chutney it was okay, didn't really like it the yoghurt in the chutney was too tangy for my taste. Service - I ordered the food in store and the food was ready in almost 15-20 mins. The restaurant was clean and had good sitting area, but I would prefer takeout. Overall I would rate 9/10 for this food! read more

On that hot day I really wanted a fresh gyro with lots of lettuce! In the area there was so much to choose from so I went with who was the closest and had the best reviews. When I walked in there was no one in there but the phones were ringing off the hook with lunch orders. The lady at the front was very willing to answer any questions I had which was refreshing because I had many to ask lol. I finally decided to order the lamb gyro to go. Lamb was seasoned very well! We have been coming to this restaurant since we moved in this area in June 2018. Always have great food. Always fresh. Naans are yummy. Chef is very nice guy. The Good: I've been coming here for years getting takeout, and they have some of the most delicious food. Their chana masala platter and biryani are my go-to meals, and I have not been let down once. I LOOOOVE their food- especially the butter chicken! The few times I have been in the Baltimore area I have dined here, and the food is always great with nice sized portions. Oh, and their naan is SO good! It is also a nice place to take the family for a special night out; my daughters liked when i took them once for a 'Mommy-Daughter Date'. I think their beverage selection could be expanded a little, but I haven't been to a halal Indo-Pak restaurant YET that offers a selection of natural juices or even Snapple as a soda or water alternative. This place has some really great food. I can't say the same for the entire menu though (probably that's why 3 stars). Their chicken haleem is absolutely delicious and that's pretty much what I order at most times. A few times that I have strayed from my favourite, I met with disastrous RED gravy. I've been living in Maryland over twelve years and tested almost all restaurants but this one is the winner when it comes to freshness with taste. Got there with a friend before everyone else showed, ordered an appetizer and it took almost 30 minutes to bring the food out. If it wasn't for the rest of the people being late, we would have left. after moving furniture, we stopped by this place to eat dinner. we ordered chicken tikkah, behari kabob, and chicken seekh kabob meal. they were not busy with deliveries or carryout (we know because we had more than enough time to observe the traffic in the store) but for some reason, our food came out very late. we paid for our food at 4:36PM (as on our receipt) and we did not receive the chicken tikkah and behari kabob until 5:24PM. some lamb chop we didn't order came out at 5:35PM... that turned out to be nobody else's in the place. the chicken seekh kabob was not served until 5:48. the strangest part is that the food were not hot... just warm. i'm not sure why it took this long for the food to come out. it was a whole hour wasted. i have to admit that the food was still pretty satisfying. serving was big. i will warn those who aren't used to eating spicy food though - watch out, this is more or less authentic indian food as far as spiciness. read more

Excellent food. I can understand some other people's frustrations, especially about a year ago, with the amount of time the service takes (which was true when this place was opened, but this has improved significantly now), but I genuinely enjoyed the food. I am generally not someone who enjoys excessively spicy South Asian food, but to be honest, I don't think they go overboard with the spices.The guys are courteous and are happy to answer questions about the food. I thoroughly enjoyed a lot of the menu items - I absolutely love the Butter Chicken and Biryani, and the combination of the two can make a fine dinner more than sufficient for 2 people. My one complaint would be the inconsistent pricing of items, as the ratio of individual dishes vary greatly when the proportion of food is considered (which means it is advisable to be careful when ordering items as a group). The place itself is clean and well-kept but personally, I feel like this place is better as a takeout/delivery when you are craving Pakistani food. read more

I was deeply disappointed. I arrived to see an employee unloading his car with his mask only covering his mouth and his nose completely exposed. As I walked to the establishment, he pulled his mask all the way down around his neck and proceeded to have a loud conversation on the phone. I stood back and when he spoke to me explained i had ordered online and had come to pick up my order. It took about 3 times before he understood that I had preordered - and it was now 10 minutes past the time the order was supposed to be ready. I then was told to wait and my order would be done in 10 minutes. During the wait, which was more then 10 minutes, I watched him go in and out and continue to unload his car without pulling up his mask. My food came out piecemeal from the kitchen. I never leave bad reviews but for a place that is this expensive this is unacceptable - especially in the time of covid. After he handed me my order - I suggested that he wear the mask. He nodded, thanked me, and pulled the mask over his mouth. I explained that unless the mask goes over his nose it will not be effective. He nodded and thanked me and did not pull the mask up over his nose. The food itself was decent - although you have order sauces if you want them to go with your food. However, after having my food for both lunch and dinner, my gut was a mess the next morning. Food was okay. Aside from the beef being hot, it didn't really have a lot of flavor. On top of this, we waited exactly an hour and 12 minutes for our food! I usually don't get upset about this as long as I get updates on what is going on and why it's taking too long. Instead, they brought our food out and didn't even apologize like nothing happened.
