It wasn't crowded at all, but this *was* the night before Thanksgiving, so that made sense. That said, there was a decent group of regulars that seemed to love the place. And we can see why. As the other reviewer mentioned, this bar caters to an older crowd (baby boomers with a sprinkling of Gen X), which isn't to say that younger people wouldn't be welcomed ... but the shenanigans that sometimes comes with being younger would be out of place here. Don, Jared and the Konspiracy was the band last night, and they did a fine job of playing classic rock standards that kept the dance floor busy. The food at the back (jambalaya) was a really nice touch, and the bartender did a wonderful job of keeping everyone topped up with good cheer. We're glad to have discovered this locals hangout and we'll definitely be back.

The interior has exposed brick front wall, exposed wooden columns, and is tastefully decorated with old pictures of Johnny Cash and Frank Sinatra to give you that real home feel. There's a relatively long bar with barstools and comfortable lounge seating in the main room. There is a small patio outback for the beautiful days, and there's an upstairs (usually reserved for private parties) with its own bar and an overlook of the Mississippi River. They are open everyday and usually offer a seasonal cocktail menu for Christmas, Halloween etc. If you are downtown looking for a craft cocktail, this is a great place to sit back and enjoy a fresh ingredient cocktail.
