I have usually gone to a business that is closer and more convenient for flat repair, one that is more "redneck", but has given me good service. However this last time apparently the tire air pressure sensor was damaged, causing an alert on the control panel even though the pressure was fine. I decided I needed to take our Hyundai to a place that is more sophisticated and "knows how to treat a lady"... So I took it to Discount Tire as a "walk in". There were several people ahead of me, but I was greeted upon entry and waited on within 10 minutes. The attendant checked out all four tires externally with a gadget that reads the sensors and confirmed the one sensor was not giving a signal. I was quoted a total price of $78 to replace the sensor. I asked how long it might take, and he estimated 70 minutes. I paid the amount and took a seat in the lobby. My vehicle was ready within 40 minutes. All works now as it is supposed to. I found the attendants helpful, friendly and efficient. I don't know how much it would have cost at other places, but I feel it was a reasonable price. The lobby was clean and not over-crowded (3 PM on a weekday). You do have the option of making an appointment, but even as a walk in, I did not wait long. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend this Discount Tires, and will be a repeat customer when necessary.

I can't say enough good things about the guys who work here and how good they are at their jobs. Stuff like balancing, rotation, flat repair, inspection, air fill up. All that is free here and at every location. Free is the ultimate value nowadays. Their tires are always cheap and they will actually price match anyone. Make sure you buy the tire certificate if you are getting new tires. It's worth it. Believe me. Especially with all the construction around. The side walls can easily be punctured and ruin even a new tire. I use the app to book my appointments and usually get taken care of within the hour. They are always super busy, so appointments matter or you will wait at least a couple of hours. Great location for your tire needs.

No problem, I waited knowing we would be helped. After, 20 minutes a family walked in and started their own line, even after asking and being told where the line was (They were walk in like us), well the tech finishes with his existing customer and helps them. The man in front of me understandably walked off. After a few more minutes I decided to do the same. 30 minutes wasted waiting for nothing. starting to see "Cracks" in the great customer service they had in the past. I was having issues with a low tire. Kept putting air in it, but my tire pressure light would keep…read moreturning back on. Finally, I noticed a screw stuck in it, so I took it to Firestone on University. They checked it out and told me it didn't pierce through, so I was good to go. The whole thing took about 40-45 minutes or so and they didn't charge me a thing. I was SO grateful! I wasn't clear on why my tire pressure was dropping if it hadn't pierced through, but I trusted them. I told them if I'd had cash on me, I would've at least tipped them. They said just to write a positive review as thanks, which I planned to do... until the tire pressure light turned back on the next day and my tire was nearly flat. A coworker recommended I try Rios Fix a Flat on Monte Cristo instead of going back to Firestone and I'm now in love with their service! I was shocked when the mechanic at Rios showed me the tire with the SAME screw STILL in it! Firestone guys didn't even bother taking it out!! Rios took 15-20 minutes and actually fixed my issue. From now on, I'm taking all of my tire business to Rios and you should, too! :)
