I hate to say it, but I had a pretty bad experience trying to get my car fixed here. I don't know a…read morewhole lot about cars and was going to give the place a break, but the problems keep coming and no one has tried to make it better. I called and described the problem- the AC was no longer blowing cold air. They told me to bring it in and when I did, they spent about 5+ hours looking at it only to tell me that they couldn't pinpoint the problem and I would have to take it somewhere else to get the electrical stuff looked at. The diagnostic at pep boys was $150. After taking it to the recommended shop, I took it back to pep boys because the other shop told me it was the compressor. The representative at pep boys told me they would get the part in within a day or two, but it was more than a week before they had it. Twice I went into the repair section of the shop and there was either no one in the front to help me, or everyone was taking phone calls and not addressing the line. Both times I waited about 10 minutes before anyone offered to help me. It seemed like they were understaffed; I wish now that I had asked to speak with a manager. The most irritating thing was that they wouldn't work with my schedule- the polite representative that had been working with me this whole time wanted me to bring my car in on a day when he and one specific mechanic were both working. Not only did it have to be after 12 PM- neither of my days off (Tuesday or Friday) worked for both of them. Overall I missed about 6 days of work and I have been driving around in the summer heat with no AC for 4+ weeks. We've put about $900 into fixing this issue, and this is my family's only car so I've paid plenty of taxi cab charges as well. Pep boys replaced the compressor and a fan, and my AC still doesn't work, so I have to take it to another shop for electrical work. With all of the delays and beating around the bush, it's been an infuriating process and pep boys has failed to meet my expectations.

Update...I still had an oil leak. I check by valve cover bolts, they were not torqued properly...I…read morefixed that. One of my coils was not properly reinstalled...I fixed that. I found bolts laying in my engine and installed them where they belong....don't take your vehicle to Ace Auto, you will regret it.

They always get it fixed and they do it quickly. I recommend this place 110%! One of the main reasons we come here is because they do everything. From breaks, to oil, to engines, batteries, everything. They even do custom fabrication and bed liners. We've had our trucks Bed lined here. Yesterday I was told they won't cover the battery because its over 30000 miles. They also said that GM said to re-flash the transmission management module and drive it 1000 miles if it happens again bring it back. Today I get a call from the sales department asking if I wanted to trade it in. I was dude I just bought it 3 months ago. So I told him what I wanted. My vehicle was 15yrs and 3 months old. So this is my opinion they had my vehicle and never looked at it. With no intention of working on it. So I pick it up. As I am leaving the service department the problem occurred in the parking lot. Yup they could not recreate the problem but I can. As the only owner of this vehicle Chevrolet has been the only place that has worked on it. For all the maintenance. Therefore I had full trust that I could count on the service. Boy was I wrong and played as a not important or valued customer. No I would not recommend this business for sales or service. This also will be possibly be the last Chevrolet that I will own.
