My local spot. Get my tires rotated on the regular here and have bought and installed a few tires as well. The customer service is pretty top notch, just like every other discount tire I've been to. They do a lot of work for free even if you didn't get your tires here. Stuff like balancing, rotation, flat repair, inspection, air fill up. All that is free here and at every location. Free is the ultimate value nowadays. Their tires are always cheap and they will actually price match anyone. Make sure you buy the tire certificate if you are getting new tires. It's worth it. Believe me. Especially with all the construction around. The side walls can easily be punctured and ruin even a new tire. I use the app to book my appointments and usually get taken care of within the hour. They are always super busy, so appointments matter or you will wait at least a couple of hours. I went by Discount Tire (at the Trenton/McColl location in McAllen, Tx) today to purchase tires. The techs were helping customers as I walked in and there was one gentleman standing in line waiting to be helped. No problem, I waited knowing we would be helped. After, 20 minutes a family walked in and started their own line, even after asking and being told where the line was (They were walk in like us), well the tech finishes with his existing customer and helps them. The man in front of me understandably walked off. After a few more minutes I decided to do the same. 30 minutes wasted waiting for nothing. starting to see "Cracks" in the great customer service they had in the past. went in for six new tires, an inspection and front in alignment. After in they said the inspection guy wasn't there, a little annoying but no big deal. After two hours (that's how long they said it would take) they said the alignment guy was going to lunch. an hour later they said our truck was too wide (a dually) and they couldn't do the alignment. they said we needed brake shoes and would cost $660. We asked to look at the brakes, they said they already put the tir on and could not. We paid and left. We made a special trip to town to get this all done, spent almost 1,200. Very disappointed and will not return. read more

I needed 2 new tires I showed the guy my rims and the scratches they had . I specifically told him to be careful and not scratch my aluminum rims, sure enough the car was done in less than an hour. I go check my rims and of course they scratched them. So the guy say I don't know what to do. I told him at least check the tire pressure. By this time my blood begins to boil. Was promised a rebate for opening card and another for buy the select tires I got. I have been trying since June to retrieve these rebates and have not been able to. Whenever I call this location that I bought them at they tell me they are going to look into the issue and get back to me. I had an appointment for a tire rotation plus a replacement for a tire sensor monitor. Arrived with the original sensor monitor and they said that they couldn't program it even after I had called and asked if they could install it. The person ahead of me had the same issue with the two monitors that he he wanted replaced. They also told him that they could not install the new sensors and suggested that he buy some new ones there for $60 a piece. I was also asked to buy one there for $60 a piece. To avoid problems, I went ahead and purchased the sensor there for the $60. I received a text message for tracking my vehicle status while they worked on it. After a while, I received a " your vehicle is ready" message , but I had to wait an extra 30 minutes because it was still not ready. As I was leaving I noticed that my tire lock was not in my vehicle so I had to go back to the store to ask for my lock. The last time when I visited this "Business" they had also forgotten to give me my lock. Coincidence? As I prepare to leave I noticed that The tire sensor light was still on even after they worked on it. I had to go back again and asked them why the light was still on if they had just fixed it. The worker told me that they knew it wasn't working. My question is why did they not inform me. So the manager came and said that they would take the vehicle back to fix it. They were going to let me drive away with a vehicle that was not ready even though they were aware! I had to wait for my vehicle To get serviced again. My appointment was at 2 o'clock and I did not leave that place till after 3:30. So for everyone that visits this establishment, make sure that you double check everything or just choose a different business. I should have done the same the last time that I visited. The last time that I visited they changed a tire on my wife's suburban and the lock was halfway in the parking lot if I had not seen it it would've gotten lost. I believed Discount Tire was a reputable business being a national chain but I was mistaken. Turns out they will take advantage of you and their goal is clearly to up sell anyone even if it means using high pressure tactics all while trying to convince you it is for your safety or benefit. I realized too late they commonly use the "corrosive rim air leak" to insist you need to replace your rims and with it your tires. They do not keep proper records of past purchases, I had to find and provide proof of the previous tires I had purchased. At one point claiming they did not carry the brand I previously brought it had to have been from Wal-Mart. insisting they are doing you a favor and helping you when in fact their goal in the up sell. I wish I had never brought my vehicle there, I have already been cheated out of $1,200 my goal is let others know. Don't fall for the "you have a corroded rim" I found out too late and from others they commonly use that to convince you to buy something you don't necessarily need as if anyone has money to burn these days. Avoid any Discount tire, need help with a flat go to mom and pop shop. Need tires get a sam's or Costco membership and get a real warranty. read more

The best customer service! They saw how clueless I was when I arrived with my flat and they knew I had a long road trip that same afternoon. I thought they were going to take advantage at the fact that I had no idea what I needed and was willing to pay anything to have it fixed so I can be on the road safely. They took my car in the made sure it came out on time for my road trip and they broke it down for me as to what I needed to get my tire fixed. I've never had anything but excellent service. Employees will explain any problem with the tire if it is serious. I am well versed with cars so I know they're honest. In as far as which kind if tire you could purchase, I have never been pushed into buying something I don't need. Simply voice yourself; however, they have always asked which kind of tire I want and if I want a warranty with it. No pressure. On a side note, they do use a torque wrench to bolt the tire back on. Came in for a flat repair after hearing they offered free patch ups. I had previously purchased my tires with Discount Tire before and they've always provided excellent service, but my visit to this location proved to be exceptionally better than any of the other before. The representative Sam was definitely the most helpful and with the best attitude that I've encountered with them so far. Service was quick and reliable, and I was offered by him a low cost option for a tire that I greatly needed replaced. I could not believe the two rear tires purchased from the same store (two years and 10000 miles) are not safe to drive. I am sure that they sold my tires and charged the girl to purchase new tires. On Friday 06/30/17, after picking up my daughter from daycare, I noticed a thumping noise coming from one of my tires. I pulled over only to find a nail in my front driver's side tire. I looked at the time and saw that I was well past Discount Tire's store hours for closing but I'd figured I'd still try and see if one of the associates could recommend another place for me to go. I write this message to give a very special thank you to Gabino who kindly took my call after 6pm, allowed me to explain my situation, looked me up in the system, and without hesitance asked me to come on in so my tire could be serviced (explaining that they would hate for me to be on the road with a bad tire). My goodness, if only I could explain the sigh of relief that was on my face! It was a wonderful surprise much to say the least. When I arrived at Discount Tire (TXC 08 4109 S. McColl Road Edinburg Texas 78529 (956) 994-3883), a gentleman named Alberto Ramirez was already awaiting me with a smile, he politely got all of my info, walked with me to my car to check out the tire, and reassured me that my tire would be taken care of. While I was sitting in the waiting area/lobby once again, Gabino outdid himself and brought my daughter a box of crayons and a coloring book to entertain her. Alberto even returned to offer me a cold bottle of water on this ridiculously hot day. Sometimes it's the smallest gestures that can make all the difference in the world, especially to a single Mom like myself. Time and time again, your wonderful customer service is what brings me back every single time & what makes me recommend your store to everyone. And just like that, a gentleman named Benjamin approached me with the keys to my car explaining that my car was good to go.
