We stopped in this afternoon and we're very impressed by the fact that they grow all of their own grapes here on property, the vineyards are beautiful! She also told us they have over 52 varietals. The wine tasting is actually free for five selections, reserve wines not included, so that is super generous, considering what you pay another locations for a tasting. We loved the Valentino, the Pinot Grigio and the red we selected is the Montepulciano. If you have a partner that does not like wine, she also stocked some craft beers. It does look like they have some fun events here as they have a beautiful patio with an outdoor fireplace. So we decided to give the Happy Camper a try and it was definitely worth the visit! Because we had the dogs, we sat on the shaded back patio. To our delight, there were misters on to keep everyone cool in the 97 degree heat. Our server - I think his name was Paden (bearded gent wearing a Dolly Parton T-shirt) was very friendly and attentive. The food itself was the star of the show. We began with the green chili cheese curd appetizer which came with a ranch dipping sauce. Very tasty and not too spicy - just the way I like it. My husband had the cheesesteak sandwich that he declared was the best he'd ever had. It was topped with onions and mushrooms infused with truffle oil. Best of the, the meat itself was not the usual paper thin minute steaks used by most establishments but instead was actual chunks of perfectly seared beef. As for me, I opted for the pulled pork quesadilla featuring wonderfully moist meat that had a delightful smokey bbq flavor. We usually don't bother with dessert when we dine out but upon learning that red velvet cheesecake was on the menu, we caved and ordered a slice. The generous wedge of cheesecake had a chocolate crust and a layer of red velvet cake in the center. The slice was garnished with a drizzle of chocolate sauce and a couple squirts of whipped cream. It was absolutely the perfect end to a delightful meal. I saw another reviewer commenting on the "sketchy" location. Please don't be put off by the dirt road or the trailer park. Please learn common courtesy and manners, it's not hard. The wings were delicious and it's nice that they have local New Mexico offerings with craft beer.
