I've only gone to this place once and that was enough. I ordered chile rellenos and although they tasted good, the "green" sauce was white and I tasted mushrooms! I asked the server about it and she said it was "cream of mushroom"...I was flabbergasted. Although I ate most of my meal, it sat rather weird with me and I thought the "cream of mushroom" was kind of strange to put on rellenos. I'm glad others like this establishment but I'm not going there just to look at old soda bottles. read more

This was my first time at this location. We stopped for lunch during a business trip. This is a unique establishment. I walked into the building expecting a small diner, this was mind blowing to experience. There are collections of small soft drink bottles like I have not seen. The rooms just opened up and went farther back than I thought possible. We ate a nice and plentiful lunch and it was great. The Owner walked up and greeted us at the table, a nice gesture. Before we left, an employee, Bodica I believe, encouraged us to view the Patio area. It was so intimate looking and a very private area. I was thoroughly amazed and content. As we were letting ready to leave we received and additional tour of the original part of the building.The food is great and the staff is so friendly. This location truly makes a person feel welcome and appreciated. I cannot wait to return there. read more

So the food hear is amazing I have had fajitas all over the country and these are hands down the best I have ever had. The steak was so tender and it was seasoned so well it was just delicious. We stopped by and were not even planning to eat they had an amazing collection of soda bottles I have never seen a bigger collection and they sell glass bottle sodas from all over so we were buying 12 to take with us when the owner came over and took us around to see the restaurant. They were so kind and the place was so warm and welcoming we stayed for dinner. My wife hugged the lady when we left although we had just met we felt like we had known them for years. They made us feel like we were celebrities or something. Also, My daughters hamburger was fantastic and the chips came out warm and crunchy and the salsa was so good. The restaurant is so clean, well maintained and the environment is warm and welcoming. There outdoor heated cover patio was an oasis for our family to relax and chill together. Love this place. I had the green chile turkey melt which was spectacular! It was also Hatch Chile season and they were roasting chiles. I bought a 30 lb sack of roasted chiles, took them home and skinned 'em and now have a freezer full of Hatch Chiles. read more

Well our family has been coming here for years to get our green chile. Ed has always been a very nice and welcoming business man. My father and I made a quick trip to Silver and picked up red chile. Much to our surprise you've opened a restaurant. So without hesitation we had to come in for lunch. Wow delicious! Really enjoyed the staff and the ambiance is on point!! Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. I've never been treated so poorly. By the owner no less. Owner was incredibly loud, embarrasing, and beligerant. Waited over an hour for 1 hamburger. Then when i told him i needed to cancel because i had to be somewhere, he loudly exclaimed that i should have ordered earlier. How much time do you need to burn a burger? AND so it finally came while this man was still arguing with me. I paid for it, and it was cooked wrong!!! Not only THAT but when i first got there, i Waited for 15 minutes before I HAD to flag down some random waitress to even take my order. Absolutely HATED this restaurant!!! Awesome whenever I say concerns or issues I'm referring to any ordinance "code" that you feel is unjust or goes against your constitutional rights. I would like to remind everybody it's your right to speak out against government entities or powers that might be doing things that conflict with the best interest of every person here in Hurley, not just people that have more money than other people. I have been ask by several people what would it take to get mr. Stevens and perhaps some of the councilman out of office well not much actually about 90 signatures to start the process. Keep in mind this does not have to be registered voters or anybody that voted it can be any citizen I'm hurting to Mexico just so as long as they're 18 years of age or older. The reason I'm saying is 90 signatures it's because the 33 and 1/3 percent which is required by law here in New Mexico to actually start the process of removing a person from office. Something that might have concerns you people are for instance the conflict of interest mr. Stevens and a couple of his council members have concerning their interests in real estate here in Hurley. Something else might be for instance a code or ordinance being in conflict of the United States Constitution and civil rights. Remember a municipality cannot go above supreme Court level decision or law even if they do decide one make a code they still have to follow certain guidelines which were provision by the United States and Mexico supreme Court. First time going always had heard good things. Neat interior and great food. My husbands burger was huge green Chile very tasty (hot like we like it). Older sons had BBQ plate and they ate it all. This has got to be my favorite restaurant. The food is outstanding and the staff is awesome. Desserts are homemade..try the carrot cake...and oh!..the warm orange cinnamon buns are a Sunday favorite for me.
