My sister claims they have the best chili cheese fries north of Mexico east of Phoenix south of The Black Range and west of The White Sands Missile Range.

Picked this restaurant randomly and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, service was great, and the patio area was impressive Be sure to step inside to check out the bottle collection. We will definitely return.

    Steak Fajitas

So the food hear is amazing I have had fajitas all over the country and these are hands down the best I have ever had. The steak was so tender and it was seasoned so well it was just delicious. We stopped by and were not even planning to eat they had an amazing collection of soda bottles I have never seen a bigger collection and they sell glass bottle sodas from all over so we were buying 12 to take with us when the owner came over and took us around to see the restaurant. They were so kind and the place was so warm and welcoming we stayed for dinner. My wife hugged the lady when we left although we had just met we felt like we had known them for years. They made us feel like we were celebrities or something. Also, My daughters hamburger was fantastic and the chips came out warm and crunchy and the salsa was so good. The restaurant is so clean, well maintained and the environment is warm and welcoming. There outdoor heated cover patio was an oasis for our family to relax and chill together. Go try this place out!

It's off the beaten track and few people drive to downtown Hurley, but this is a great breakfast and lunch place. Simple and delicious.

Locals know it of course but if Deming is your half way point and you need a road break and need a drink and little bite then this is your hotel bar. The other hotels do not have a bar. This place has a few TVs to watch sports on as well as a TouchTunes jukebox. The food is okay and if you're hungry then it's good. No elevated menu here. Although the food is not spectacular, the beer is cold and the company and service is great. Stacy the bartender has been there over 20 years she's a local gal with an abundance of info. and can tell you about the area. Definitely a little hidden gem and I'd prefer not to advertise so it's not jam packed next time I pop in but y'all need some signage man! It would be much easier to find especially when it's past 8 pm and you can't find another place in Deming that's open.

There is also a back room that has pool tables, plus corn hole and a pinball machine. We were in town for a few days for the Chili Festival. Friday was a medium sized crowd and they had karaoke followed by a live band. Bartenders Theresa and Shelby did a great job of attending to customers and despite being busy always had smiles on their faces and were friendly and outgoing. Isabell who was working on the gift shop side of the store came over later in the evening to help do dishes. She was equally as nice. I wish I would have caught the bands name, they were actually pretty good. They did several Johnny Cash tunes and actually did them justice. Saturday brought a much bigger crowd, with a long line for people ordering drinks who were not sitting at the bar. (They don't seem to have servers other than the bartenders and a couple younger guys who must work in the kitchen who run food orders out. In addition to Theresa and Shelby there was a gentleman behind the bar who was pouring some of the beer and drinks and another bartender; a woman with a baseball cap with Boss Lady written in rhinestones across the front. Unfortunately while she may have been necessary to help take care of the crowd, she sure didn't have the friendly disposition that the other employees seem to have and never seemed to smile and just continuously barked orders and the others. At one point the person sitting next to me grabbed a menu that was on the bar and bumped a water glass which spilled. She actually just, without a word spoken, threw a towel at us so we could wipe it up ourselves. A couple of the beer options had run out on Friday and were not replaced for Saturday which was a bummer but a decent alternative was found.. in addition to the beer they have Vodka, silver tequila, bourbon and gin available for some basic mixed drinks (sorry millennials no AMF shots available here) I believe they're their own brand that they distill at their Las Cruses location. I have to say I did enjoy the vodka, it was very smooth but the gin was way too floral for me. The food offered is pretty standard bar fare but the fried pickles were better than most. They also offer pizza. We didn't have any but the people around us seemed to enjoy it.

Had an excellent filet served perfectly blue-rare as requested. Great cut of meat without a blemish. Didn't get to see any live music or use of the opera house. This place popped up on the map nearby and was chosen by a family member. We went in for an early dinner around 5pm, with a reservation as other reviews said to reserve and we had 8 people. At that time, we didn't need to book anything, was plenty of space, but by the time we left it had filled up in the front bar and seating area near the fireplace and the dining room in the back where we had been. The food was solid. A couple people in our group ordered the ribeye which was good, a burger, and we had 2 servings of the green chile pork stew, that was my favorite thing. It had a really nice green chile flavor and some good heat to it. I liked the cheese, sour cream, and delicious tortillas served with it. I ordered a glass of wine but I didn't love it, it was a heavier red than I like, should have had a beer or iced tea. All in all, a unique restaurant to have a family dinner, with an old time ambiance and modern service & food. They have a door to the old opera house area that people can go check out, it was definitely run down and lackluster back there. Doesn't seem to be used at this time and smelled of fried food. Maybe kitchen smells waft back there. Not much of a draw, however the front entrance and saloon area was cool. They had a live musician, couldn't hear it in the back dining room but I saw him by the big painting of cartoonish nude woman.
