Driving range is very small, muddy, not well maintained. The range balls look like a compilation of all the balls found on the course in the past 10 years! Pure junk. The "cart path" is very rough, rocky, muddy. We were jolted around for 4 hours and glad to get done. Course layout is okay, although very little variation for the 4 tee box positions. The difference between black and white tees on the front 9 is only the first and last hole. On one hole, all 4 sets of tees were on the same long tee box, each about 10 yds apart. The two nines are par 37 front and par 34 back, which is a first for me. Pace of play today was good. Played as a twosome and finished in 3:50, even with a 4 some two groups ahead. All in all, seemed very over priced for what it was. Will not be back. read more

At the Pro Shop, the young man there told us 3 times that 2 in our group already paid. We advised that this was NOT correct - 3 times. So we took our carts the .4 miles down to the first tee/driving range, where we were then told we did not pay. WTF! Went back the .4 miles and paid, then back another .4 to the first tee. Walking on to the green of the par 5 third hole, ALL the sprinklers came on. I had a 12 foot birdie putt. Thanks. Thanks alot. Again - WTF! Pace of play was horrific. read more

The course is not in very good condition. Fairways and rough have a lot of bare spots while maintenance is over-watering everything trying to bring the course back. There is a lot of very muddy areas with standing water in places. Greens are small and in so-so condition.. They seem to be doing better than the fairways, but still a lot of dead/bare spots on the greens. It is a shame that they charge the full rate for a course in this poor condition. They blame the conditions on the lack of moisture during the winter, but they should have tried other things. They gave a lot of excuses. In good condition, it would be a fun course to play. Play was extremely slow event though there was a ranger on the course. Play was about 4 hours 40 minutes. Wouldn't rush back to play there. read more

staff wonderful, beautiful greens , loved the pro shop and the restaurant was amazing. would highly recommend this course , carts are in impeccable. shape , and even in bad weather ,the environment. of the staff was inviting and uplifting, I will surely return to this course and refer my friends. read more

Wish I could give a zero. We have never been treated so rudely at a golf course. It started with the older lady that you pay for your round. We later heard her tell another employee she was praying for rain so she didn't have to work. Then we had a maintenance worker heckle my husband after he missed a putt. My husband did not respond and he continued to yell at him as we drove to the next hole. It's apparent the employees are not happy and take it out on the customer. We won't be back, too many other courses to play where the employees are friendly. read more

This course charged me $128 today for 18 holes, a cart and a rental set of clubs. It was at least a 5-hour round. No marshal on the course and pace of play was painfully slow. Back to the course... the condition of this course was in poorer shape than most muni courses. Cart paths are horrendous. Most were gravel with huge potholes. The set of rental clubs they gave me were in horrible shape and probably from the 80s. The best part of the day was that I played with a twosome and they were really nice guys. I would not play this course again if they lowered the price to $30. read more

Overpriced. Not a good place to play the range is overwater has divots everywhere the grass is very long on the range aswell.

First time playing here. Loved it. The course is very nice. The design, the conditions, the people were all great. Under construction so I know the locals and regulars are looking forward to its completion. The greens are healing nicely. I'm sure it will be even better as time goes on. I really enjoy playing this course. It is one of the few public courses in this area. The staff are pleasant, course is in great shape, and the carts are well maintained. The greens are crazy fast so anticipate it to affect your short game until you get the feel of the greens. Trust me when I say you will inevitably underestimate my warning, but after the first pitch or putt you'll be a believer. They are fast and challenging. The overall experience was great. The staff was rude and disrespectful the whole time we were there, specifically the two front desk workers who continuously came to "check" on us the entire time we were golfing. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

One step up from a cow pasture. Gopher mounds in the fairways. Course crew shows very little consideration to player, even had golf ball ran over by mower. No course marshal so pace of play is slow. Too bad there was no way to post with no stars. read more

We played here today and it was terrific ! The greens are the best we have played compared to everything in the state. The douse is narrow and you have to plan your shots, but it was fun. Also it is really pretty here. Play here fir a day and have a Terrific time. read more

Ok course for what you pay. Worst part tho was the starter who was a complete jerk talking to us like we were sixth graders. Set a rushed tone (so we knew to keep pace as if we don't understand golf) for the first little bit just prior to us running into some really novice golfers who were crazy slow anyway. Will likely never play there again. read more

We went when it was slow, not sure about these other negative reviews but the greens maintinence staff were very courteous, the lady at the desk who checked us in was great and made sure we had ice for our beer to go and gave us some pointers for how to play. read more

A fun course to play, I actually live on the second hole the fairways and greens have been in great shape this year. The prices have been climbing pretty strong unfortunately even when greens are aerated the price stays the same regardless that putting becomes a windmill shy of mini golf. Overall a great public course up on the mountain the newer back 9 is a blast. read more

Absolute disaster on Monday, July 3rd. We arrived for our 10:40am tee time at 10am and see 20+ people with their bags standing around outside the proshop. We thought maybe they were all waiting for a bus after playing 9 holes or something, but it was due to the fact the course had run out of carts by 9:30 in the freakin' morning?!?!? So we proceed inside and inquire about the status or our tee-time and the guy behind the counter lies right to our faces by saying they're only 15 minutes behind or so and that some of the carts are go back in soon. If you run out of carts over an hour before your 1st wave of golfers is due back in (they don't start tee-times here until after 6:30...if they don't wander in way late), and your 9:30 group doesn't head out until after 10:15, then you have a much bigger issue. We drove our car down to the driving range and hit balls for 30 minutes and didn't see one group tee off at #1. We ask the starter at #1 what was really happening and he said that a much bigger-than-expected group from the local RV park came into golf and used up a big chunk of carts and pushed everyone's tee-times WAY back. I'm assuming they have a special deal for this group which explains why they accommodated all of them and completely screwed everyone who came in with actual tee-times afterwards. We finally left a full hour after our scheduled tee-time and we were still at least 30 minutes from going out onto a totally packed course. If the proshop had been honest with us and simply gave us the facts, we would have left and just come back 60-90 minutes later, but telling lies directly to our faces just illustrates how poorly managed this course has become. Just tell me, "we have a deal with XYZ and it pushed us way behind schedule". How tough is that!!?!? It's a quirky, tight layout that is normally fun to play, but this event (and my local friend has told me of other recent stupid management issues) will probably keep me from playing again there anytime soon. read more

Pace of play was amazing due to the course may of had 10 people on it. Course was in great shape. Some of the holes were boring and homes were too close to the fairways and greens. The back nine was much more challenging and more scenic. All together had fun and would go back. 108 degrees in phoenix and 80 in show low read more
