Trying out a new place on our way from a weekend of kayaking on the homossasa river. This is a little off the beaten path but worth the detour. Sat outside by the water. Really nice and chill. Lots of menu choices. We decided on lunch. Started with some fried pickles. Very large portion. Lots of pickles!! I had to have the famous haddock sandwich. Blacked and cooked really good. Deb got the buffalo chicken wrap. Lots of chicken very tasty. Service was quick and food came out really fast

Beautiful location in the back garden. Food was ok. I had shrimp and grits with an extra fruit plate. The fruit was not fresh. It's the type of place that uses margarine instead of butter and doesn't have fresh half and half for coffee. Service was ok. Everything was ok. Come here for the turtles

My friend selected the Silver Dolphin for our monthly luncheon. When you arrive, the greeted with a very colorful building with different mermaids and their signature silver dolphins at the front of their store. They also have on one side, a boutique and on the other side is the restaurant. When we entered, we were seated right away. Our drinks taken by a very nice lady. Great personality and made us feel right at home. The menu has a lot to select from so it took some time to choose. I have to be honest, their raspberry ice tea is nasty. I switched to sweet tea, unfortunately it was nasty as well. But, I drank it. We placed our order, I had the clam strip basket with french fries and coleslaw. My friend had the lobster salad. The clam strips were very tasty, but they were all more on the small side and there was more french fries than clan strips. My friend had the salad which contained more salad than lobster pieces, but it had fresh tomato cucumber, and they use a type of mayonnaise for the dressing which I didn't care for. The prices for the amount of food was very expensive, but you were on the water and you had the opportunity to sit outside under shaded canopies, and lots of trees and flowers and view the canal which had lots of fish and hungry turtles. As I walked down the pathway, everything was decorated in plants and different nautical items, and it led to an outside bar. Also, in the front of the store is there dessert bar with cheesecake several kind, pumpkin pie, brownies, etc. They all look very delicious but I didn't indulge this time. Our waitress was very friendly. She checked on us often refilled our drinks and smiled through everything. Looks like she was very happy to be working and happy to take care of us. There are plenty of handicap spots for parking handicap spots for dining and the bathroom will accommodate a wheelchair or a motorized cart. I found everything to be clean, the food tasted good and it also tasted fresh. It was a nice place to go, but I believe because if it's location, it's more of a tourist trap and the prices are a little bit high for the amount of food that you get. Will I go back? Maybe. But there's other places on Shoreline Boulevard to try. I will admit that it is a very exciting place to go because of all the colorful decorations, the beautiful flowers the canal the turtles the fish they have a small boutique with beautiful jewelry and little knickknacks. If you haven't gone, I would give it a try. The parking is private and there's plenty of parking.

Great food & service!! Please get a better quality toilet paper for your restrooms. It's really thin and small, worthless!

Fried Haddock with pickled beets and fries.

We had the fried haddock. Huge size. Don't see that kind of sizes anymore. Kids menu was pretty good. Hot dogs came in toasts which I thought was cool. Chicken tenders were pretty big for kids size. Service was good. No issues. Food was out fast too. You are sitting right on the river. We saw turtles but friends reported gators and manatees also.

This is an adorable quaint restaurant in the heart of Hernando Beach. The outside sitting area has the amazing outdoor feeling. I have been here in the past for breakfast but this is the first for dinner. The food does not disappoint. However make sure to bring extra spending money as the gift shop has many different things to choose from including salt water taffy and fudge. A recommendation as well, bring cash as there is a 3.99% discount for cash compared to credit cards.

Silver Dolphin Cold Plate with Lobster Salad and Hernando Beach Lemonade!

Great place! First time there and will definitely be back! Hubby had the seafood platter and I had the Cold Plate with lobster salad. It was delish'! You definitely need to try the Hernando Beach Lemonade! I had mine "peachified" (Tito's, lemonade and peach syrup). A great refresher on a hot day. Everyone is very friendly and service is great!

Been wanting to try this place for a while. I think they had an off night…read more I was eating solo, ordered the most expensive btl of wine on the menu (specifically asked if it was okay to take remaining wine home with me, knowing I'd have about a glass and called for a pour of their nice bourbon selection .) Ordered mussels, great. Ordered special ribeye "crusted with lobster". Meat was mid well, "lobster" was a spoon of cold grocery store crab salad on top. At least that's what I thought. Side Salad was to be served last, but tat never happened, as I was ghosted. MgMT: My specific point; I bought literally everything the owner would want 1 person to buy ~$xxx check average. As a mgr I'd be table side wondering who the f this person was. I'm not asking for this, it's just kinda unsaid, especially with a $xx steak incorrectly toasted. I politely and quietly expressed my displeasure, with clear overcooked meat.... And once my displeasure was offered, no one touched my table there after. I actually tipped the bus boy $20, in person, on top. I'll give it another go, maybe I'll just try the fresh catch instead.

Three years ago I called Brian's Place a hidden gem. Well...I think the secret is officially out…read more Brian's Place has become one of our go-to restaurants, and after many visits, I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. That's pretty rare these days. Whether we're stopping in for a nice dinner together or bringing friends from out of town, it's always at the top of our list. The food is consistently excellent. I'm a seafood guy, so that's usually where I end up, especially if there's a fresh catch or one of the specials on the menu. My wife almost always orders something completely different, and neither of us has ever looked across the table wishing we'd ordered the other person's meal. That's a pretty good sign that the kitchen knows what it's doing. The service has been just as consistent as the food. Everyone we've interacted with has been friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to enjoy what they do. You never feel rushed, but you're also never left wondering where your server disappeared to. It's the kind of service that makes you want to come back. One of the things I appreciate most is that Brian's Place delivers every single time. We've been enough times that if there were off nights, we would have found one by now. Instead, every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. My advice? Bring a few friends, order a bottle of wine, share some appetizers, and enjoy the evening. Just don't forget to make a reservation because this place stays busy for a reason. Three years ago I recommended Brian's Place. Today I can recommend it even more enthusiastically. It's still one of our favorite restaurants, and it's one of those places we're always happy to introduce to someone who's never been. So far, every person we've brought has thanked us afterward--and that says it all.

Here's to Brittany & Sam, the very friendly married couple who opened this business last November…read more According to Brittany, since the State's shelter-in-place order went into effect, sales are up. Yes! Sweet Nutrition (the name selected by the couple's seven-year-old child) offers healthy teas & shakes. With each order, you'll receive a tea & a shake. The shake is a complete meal. (Herbalife products are used in each creation. According to the Herbalife company website, "Herbalife is a global nutrition and weight management company.") There are five Tea flavors offered here (Raspberry, Chai, Cinnamon, Peach, & Lemon) & three Aloe flavors (Mandarin, Cranberry, & Mango). There are also "Superhero Energy" teas, "Energized Beauties" teas, & Kids' teas. My Raspberry tea was delicious! Many shakes are offered. Eleven (11) "Naked" shakes are available, such as Chocolate, Vanilla, Mint Chip, Strawberry Cheesecake, Cookies 'n Cream, & Orange Cream, as well as fourty (Yes, 40) "Specialty Shakes." The two most popular flavors are Death by Chocolate & Turtle Cheesecake. (I had the latter today; it was delicious & tasted exactly as the name implied!) See the door pic that lists all the wonderful varieties offered! Before Coronavirus arrived, bakery items such as Black Bean Brownies & healthy grain waffles were offered. This business offers a "Nutrition Club," but you'll have to ask the two lovely owners to explain it. (I was told money can be won.) To date, Brittany has lost an impressive 103 lbs. Her husband has lost 55 lbs! Amazing! Each wears a pin that displays his/her current weightloss. (Their before & after pics are posted on their Facebook page.) Under normal circumstances, customers could sit inside & enjoy their teas & shakes w/ conversation & overhead music, but these are not "normal" times. Currently, you'll stick your head inside the door to order & pay. (A cash sale will save you some $). When your drinks are ready, they'll be set down on the table (that blocks entry into this establishment). I'm so happy Google brought me here after I searched for "sweets." I had planned on indulging on a cupcake, but I instead landed a wonderful (& wonderfully nutritious) shake & tea! Here's to a GREAT new business owned by a GREAT young, local couple!
