Came here after our kayak excursion and enjoyed their outside seating in the back, as it's right on the water! You can see turtles, and other wildlife. On this particular day, the weather was very nice. Service was friendly and attentive. Inside, they have a bunch of odds and ends you can purchase, even homemade fudge! Great little spot right on a canal. Fun menu, very fresh everything. Service was sloooooow, but otherwise all was good. Favorites: The fried pickles were excellent, as was the shrimp/fruit/potato salad platter. On a rainy Friday afternoon with a large group of friends I had a delicious lunch of their special fried haddock sandwich and potato salad, which tasted homemade. Our table had nine of us, and our waitress handled it with ease and efficiency, giving each of us a number so we received the right order. I also placed an order for my husband at home - the Philly cheeseburger and fries. This place is a local restaurant along with others close to our neighborhood so we will return frequently. read more

We had a wonderful dinner at Silver Dolphin, last night. We had the special which were too large teriyaki pork chops with grilled pineapple and two sides. I had salad & garlic green beans. Hubby had cole slaw & asparagus with hollandaise. It was beyond reasonably priced. Our server, Chip, was fantastic. Quick with refills and checking on us. I highly recommend Silver Dolphin. We have enough leftovers for two more meals! Of course, I had to get a cup of Papa Clyde's to go! I tried Cotton Candy, which was yummy! I can't wait to go back for brunch. read more

At the lower end among all the many restaurants we've tried in the area. First, to get to dining area, you walk through a really tacky touristy store that has overpriced cheap junk. That sets the stage for the restaurant. The waitress got my order wrong, then after delivering it, scooted away before I could get it corrected. She didn't return so I went ahead and ate it. We had been hoping to get dessert, but she took so long to return (never checking to see if everything was OK), that we had to leave before that dessert. I got the meatloaf, which was about the most bland and mealy meatloaf I've ever had. When our food came out, it was obvious it had been sitting for a while - the gravy had a crust on it and nothing was hot, only lukewarm. Our table didn't have a "setup" of salt, pepper, tartar sauce, etc., and the waitress never brought us one. I can't imagine returning. read more

I have been here a few times and I have forgotten to take pictures and do not like to review without them so here we are...we had the sweetest server..I wish I had my receipt and her name, I asked but have been to so many other places since there I do not remember..she was so accommodating and right on the job with everything...we sat outside by the water and the weather was wonderful and nice and breezy. We were there midday and ordered sandwiches..I ordered the Club which you have choices of meats and the sides and I got the Potato Salad which was a great choice..delicious and fresh and homemade...the other choice was the Philly Cheese Steak with Onion Rings..very good as well, served hot and fresh..I ended up going there the next day too and a Lobster Roll, Prime Rib Sandwich with au Jus and the Lasagne..do not have a picture of the Lasagne and wanted to put these other meals on the review since they were so good..they have daily specials and the Lasagne was one of the, now.,normally I would not order that at a place that was not Italian, but it was very good the sauce had chunky tomatoes and lots of flavor and it was served with Bread and a large dinner salad ..it was very good and they asked if I would order again and I said yes...enough for lunch the next day as well..they serve Turkey dinner on Tuesday and I have also had that before and it is a winner too..real Turkey and lots of food to fill up your belly..this adorable place also has a store with Candy and Fudge, you can go out back and see Turtles and just relax too..they also server Breakfast too...great prices for what you get as well...also..posted on all the tables for you to see...they do have a surcharge if you use a credit card...I do give them props for letting you know ahead of time, cannot stand when it is added on the end and it is a surprise, this gives you the choice of paying whichever way you want to pay... read more

What a great spot! It may look like nothing fancy from the outside but the food here is great! We sat outside even though it was windy as we wanted to see the Turtles in the water. The fish taco was one of the best I have had and they came with fries those double coated Fries. The flavor and dressing on those tacos were perfect! The clam chowder was homemade and the cup was a generous portion nd had celery in it too- TIm, gotta have celery in your soup! The servers are kind and helpful. The bar looks like a good spot for a drink after work. They offer daily specials. Today was buy a bloody Mary or mimosa and get one half price. We did not get one but we were tempted! read more

Ordered a shrimp salad. Received a bowl of brown lettuce with rubbery shrimp and sour orange slices. Husband ordered fried clams. Received cold, greasy clams, soupy Van Camp pork n beans instead of baked beans served with a container of cocktail sauce that was frozen solid. Worst meal of the trip. read more

Stopped by on our way home for lunch. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but what a terrific place. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the water, fed the fish and turtles while surrounded by the tropical plants and the totems. The service was quick and very friendly and the food was delicious and not pricey at all. Drinks were also quite inexpensive. A cute place that we will bring all of our friends to. Great food had baked fish it was moist and perfectly cooked . Hubby had fish tacos that were perfection. Waitress was friendly and checked in frequently without hovering . Place isn't fancy but quaint and from some seats have a water view . I would have given 5 stars but hubby just had surgery and uses a walker and we went by several tables to a seat way in the back , would have been nice to have at least been asked if he needed something close . Great atmosphere, happy staff and good food. We both had the Bourbon Steak Tips. Cooked as we ordered with plenty of sauce. I would probably give more like a 3.5 star if Yelp had half stars available. Nothing that really unique that would jump to a 4 star, but a good dinner choice on any night. read more

My husband and I went in for breakfast on Saturday and the place was busy! We put our name on the list to wait. The wait was quick and the hostess was super friendly. The star of the show though was our server Nicholas. I don't think I have ever had a server more friendly and personable. He made sure our drinks were full and checked in with us when our food came. The food was like home cooked kitchen food. It was better than typical diner food you might get in other places. The potato's were hand cut and didn't taste frozen, the eggs were cooked to order, and the rye toast was the best rye bread I've ever had. read more

So my wife and I live local and frequent this place quite a bit. She wrote a review about a year ago praising the food and service. However in the past 3 months things have gone downhill fast. We have been here several times in that time frame and even brought visitors from out of town and of state here. The issue started about 3 months ago when we came and were seated and sat for about 15 minutes before anyone approached our table. Fast forward to a month later and the same thing only more of a wait before anyone came. Today same thing waitress walks by and we had to ask them if we could get service. Sorry but this is too many times in a row for it to be fluke. Will not be back. This place may go the way of the Zig Zag Scallop down the street. read more

I wasn't impressed with the burger, but I guess what do you expect from a seafood place. The kitchen seemed to be a little hectic with glass being broken and pans being dropped, and the waiters made several remarks about being overwhelmed with orders. My family had planned to go elsewhere for lunch but a woman I chatted with in the park highly recommended the Silver Dolphin. it did not disappoint! The outside seating is arranged so there are many little sections of private tables. The flowers and plants are beautiful and there's even places to feed the fish and turtles. 5 of us had four different entrees (Shrimp, Lobster roll, Haddock fish and chips and English fish and chips) and we were all very happy with our food and couldn't wait to go back! We had a delightful waitress and two-for-one drinks also. when it was threatening rain, our waitress came over to ask if we wanted her to help us move inside! How nice was that!!?? Four of us went back the following week for lunch and again we were all very happy with our food and 2/1 drinks. We also fed the turtles!! An extra bonus was having Lisa for a waitress! What a delightful person! She was so friendly and efficient! She made our day! She even came over to chat with us when her shift was over, and shared some things to do in Spring Hill! read more

I was looking something local while I was near Spring Hill, Florida. Saw the Silver Dolphin so we thought we'd give it a try. Overall, great food and great Florida tropical setting along the canal. I got the blackened shrimp tower appetizer and the ham & cheese sandwich with fries. It was delicious. My wife got the blackened shrimp tacos which she loved as well. My only complaint was the slow service. It wasn't because they were short handed. Their outside dining is in a really great tropical setting and you can even feed the fish and turtles in the canal. Like I said, great food, but had trouble getting refills and other needs. I do recommend this place though. read more

Laid back spot on a canal, great for outdoor eating. Walking inside you'll come to a little shop which is great to pick up little sea themed knick knacks while waiting for a table or after dinning. They also have a fudge counter which I recommend. Try and snag a table in the garden area outside along the water. It's a fun laid back atmosphere with a cut porch swing and various size tables positioned at different areas of the dock and you are sure to see some turtle and fish along the water. I wish they had more seafood options, but they do have a variety, I'll give them that. I wasn't sure on eggplant parm but it's just like home cooking so that dish was not only massive but delicious. If you're looking for a seafood option the haddock was excellent- made to order. I had mine baked with my two sides being asparagus with hollendaise sauce and mash potatoes. Perfect combo. Drink prices are very reasonable and although they do not have a drink menu, they have a full bar (but no sauvignon blanc, or stuffed olives). Good addition to the area. read more
