Great experience. This hotel/motel provided an excellent center point for our North Island adventures. Centrally located Easy to find Super friendly staff willing to answer any and all questions. Exceptional room quality with endless hot water ( thank you hot springs ). The bed was magnificently cozy. Parking was a non-issue and close to the room (free too). What else to say .... Large comfortable rooms. Although it did not include breakfast, they did have room service available at reasonable prices and the food was excellent! Large selection and decent variety. And as it is not a huge place, the food got to your room warm and delicious! read more

We went with the Spa Package. It was great! The owners went above and beyond. They even let us take out two bikes for free and suggested a good bike trail. The in-room hot tub was very relaxing as were the heated blankets. Overall, My wife and I felt we got great value and great service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. read more

The hotel was excellent. The room was large, clean and airy. They have free internet and DVD movies to borrow. Most importantly, the staff were all very friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. The main woman at the desk took her time to give us recommendations and help us make future trip plans. My wife got a massage and loved it - the masseuse took her time and went well over the hour. Last, my wife forgot earrings in the hotel and the hotel immediately emailed us to tell us when they found them in our room. read more

Usually I get at least one massage per week so I know a good massage therapist when I find one. I was very fortunate to have had a GREAT massage at Silver Fern Spa in Rotorua. Be sure to ask for Lorellee. You won't get a better massage anywhere in the area. She earns a maximum 5 stars out of 5 stars possible! read more

Allan and Shirley were great hosts! We stayed at the Silver Fern for a couple nights during our honeymoon. The room was lovely and had a nice patio. The laundry facilities were a lifesaver, and all the recommendations they gave us for our time there were great! It's too bad it's not a bit closer to downtown, but it wasn't a huge deal. read more

Fantastic. Finally a boutique hotel that really is one. You can see the owner's love to detail wherever you look. Free DVDs is a nice detail, as is the healthy in room breakfast and free wifi. Our room had a huge private jacuzzi in a semi-open add on to the room. We didn't use it, but it looked new and clean. Also parking is great, right in front of your door. If there would be anything at all to criticize, it would be the fact that depending on the wind you can smell the sulfate from the natural volcanic outlets. But then again, that's part of the great Rotorua experience. We will be back. read more
