Okay, so after searching for a dental spot that I can live with, I am finally home! This is where I should be! Not only is the staff kind and caring, but the dentist is also. She genuinely asks questions and answers all that is asked. It's a small office, but they definitely win when it comes to taking care of patients the way patients need. I've been to a few the last year and moved away as this is finally where I need to be. I am going at my own pace when it comes to fixing what nature has changed. I've had two absolutely pain free and very stress free appointments here. Dr Fink and Kari are so reassuring and calming, it's a great experience. They have state of the art equipment, and keep you informed of what they're doing and what the next procedure is. The initial exam was the most through I have ever had, and I've had a lot, as I'm a senior citizen with all my own teeth. I had a filling, and 2 teeth prepared for crowns in the second appointment, and the temporary crowns look so good, I'm sure the finished product will be amazing. They continually check with you as to how you're doing and what you're opinion is. They reassured me that they will work very hard, and correct any issues, I may have. I'm totally impressed.. First of all this is the first dentist office that I didn't have to wait hours after my appointment time to see the dentist. Every time I have gone I get seated within minutes of signing in and the dentist is in to see me quickly. The staff is wonderful. Teresa makes me feel like we are old friends from high school. She asks me how I have been and makes me feel like I am hanging out with friends instead of at the dentist office. Maria is the hygienist and I have never had a better cleaning in my life. She is gentle and makes sure I am comfortable. She explains any treatment the dentist recommends. And I never feel pushed into something I don't need. Dr. Schneider is so sweet and I always feel she has my best interest in mind. She is mindful of cost and while always explaining all the options she still understands if I choose one over another. When I had an implant she was helpful in explaining costs and walked me through the options to finance the treatment that I needed. I never felt pressured. The interaction between Teresa and the Dr were great during my treatment. They work well as a team. They spent the whole time they were working on me talking about their weekends and husbands. I was so busy listening my treatment was finished before I realized. Talk about being put at ease! I would recommend this office to anyone who wants a great dentist. I was a new patient of Dr. Schneider and my first couple of visits were great. The wait time was excellent. However the actual service that was provided was not satisfactory. I had a couple of cavities filled. Some days after having the first cavity filled, my tooth started hurting. I called the office and was told to come in because all that was needed was a bite adjustment. I went in to have the bite adjustment done which took just a few minutes. Some days later another tooth began to hurt. I called and yet was told the same thing about needing a bite adjustment. At this point I didn't understand what the bite adjustment had to do with the pain in my mouth. It had gotten to the point where I couldn't let anything hot or cold touch those teeth. I decided not to make an appointment to go back to see Dr. Schneider. This was not working so I decided to seek dental treatment somewhere else. I collected my dental x-rays from Dr. Schneider's office and sent them to the new dentist. The new dentist performed an exam that tested the sensitivity of my teeth and took a set of new x-rays. He also showed me the x-rays that I submitted from Dr. Schneider's office. He pointed out the teeth that were causing me pain and showed me exactly from where the pain was coming. It was confirmed that I needed a root canal in one of the teeth that was just simply filled by Dr. Schneider. I am now in the process of getting that done. I am extremely upset because my time was wasted going to Dr. Schneider. My out of pocket expenses were wasted on procedures that didn't fix the problem. 9 minute teeth cleaning!!! There have been a few different situations with this Dentist office. The most disturbing and most recent happening was today when I brought my 5 year old son in for a teeth cleaning. In September of 2020 I was able to sit beside him as he thoroughly got his teeth cleaned for over 30 mins. Today I brought him to the dentist, he told me he was "excited but nervous", I assured him it would be fine. To our surprise, the woman at the door took his temperature & as I leant down to have mine taken she told me "parents can sit down the hall on a bench or stand outside the door". I explained how back in Sept. I was able to sit in, and I was told "well that's changed and most kids do fine". I Would've pulled him out and rescheduled or went somewhere else if my brave 5 year old didn't say I'm ok mom, and head in. I was furious. I called my husband the moment the door closed, so the time is on my phone 12:01. I was on the phone with my mom, talking about this to her too, when he came out at 12:10. NINE MINUTES!!!!! 9 minutes for a 5 year old's teeth! We will NEVER give this dentist office, EVER again! Also, my husband had fillings done two months prior. A week after, his fillings had felt loose and hurt. He called and left a voicemail. Days later he received a TEXT MESSAGE- not a phone call back, but a message asking "if his teeth still hurt." Baffled that they didn't have the decency to call back, my husband responded and said yes to see what would ensue from this. Since then, he has had ZERO communication with this office. As most men do, he shrugged off the discomfort & ignored it. I should have been hesitant to bring my son there after this shenanigans with my husband, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I think the above descriptions of their negligence with patient care is enough to explain why this dentist is undeserving of even one star. The description about how the dentist has two children of her own, they "like to make kids feel comfortable, and properly care for their dental health starting at a young age" seems to be an outright lie. NINE minute teeth cleaning. More like quick teeth polish! From what I could imagine and what my 5 year old told me. BOTTOM LINE--A vaccine is out, neighborhood schools are back, appointments are scheduled with COVID-19 restrictions in place. I waited in my car to call & check in, the waiting room is closed to sit in, temperatures taken, masks worn, distance precautions are taken AND the virus was much worse in September of 2020. NO EXCUSE for this type of patient care and disregard for a young child's comfort or dental care! You can blame covid all you want for the procedures being practiced; you cannot however justify or have any excuse for a NINE MINUTE teeth cleaning. You can post the police & fire dept work schedules at your front desk and count on city workers and neighborhood patrons to support this business because an abundance of them reside here--but the more I have heard from others, this place is going under. The woman at the front desk is an angel, so delightful to deal with. And prior experiences with this office were not poor. The main dentist, seems distracted and caught up with talking about herself or has her head half in the game. Not acceptable when it comes to people's health. Do not rely on a great neighborhood to support a poor business who takes advantage of their patient's insurance payments.... even for routine child teeth cleaning! read more

Went to schedule an appointment and was told by Blanca (who runs both locations) that the whole family was dropped due to a missed appointment 2 years ago. I LOVE SILVER LAKE DENTAL!!! I was so upset with the service I used to get at my old dental office. The straw that broke the camel's back was a charge of $100 for a mistake they made. So I finally broke the strings of loyalty and started looking for a new refuge for my teeth. I read great reviews about Silver Lake Dental and figured I'd give them a shot. I'm so glad I did. It was like night and day. The office is very inviting and I felt like I was treated like a person. Jasmine did my cleaning. Oh boy! Let me say it was FANTASTIC!!! I didn't feel rushed. She took her time with everything and made wonderful conversation. She took her time with my cleaning. I didn't come out of there with my gums hurting from the pain of multiple jabs and pokes like I used to. In fact, she didn't hurt me once. She was very careful. To top it off I got a goody bag with a tooth brush, tooth paste, dental floss and even some chap stick for this cold weather. Never got that before at my old place. Going off the previous review, I had to return to this office to get my filling fixed AGAIN because now I have a "food trap" because it wasn't filled correctly. I called to make an appointment so that this dentist can fix HER MISTAKE but I was refused of service because of my previous HONEST review. Which goes to show this practice isn't concerned about the well being of their customers. This is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional, as a client I was not happy with the service I was turned away because of a review . This is completely unfair because now I am left with pain in my tooth and work that was not done correctly. I called back and the receptionist, Jill, laughed at me expressing my concerns and hung up as I called back several times. Please refrain yourself from coming to this practice. As a dental practice they shouldn't be denying my service as a client. This isn't a boutique, ITS A DENTAL CLINIC. Sad and pathetic. I am reporting this doctor. This weekend my almost two year old took a bad fall and the doctor and her wonderful secretary (Jill) were amazing with helping get my little one the care she needed (even with it being a HOLIDAY weekend). Went in for a routine cleaning. Came out needing a crown. Filling was pulled out and was told it was "going come out" anyways. Called to find out a solution. Was told they would let dentist know tues April 17th. Never heard back. Had to call yesterday and was told she wasn't in again. Still waiting for a resolution. Beware of unqualified staff. Bad customer service. No one should have to wait 3 weeks . Proof is on my phone records they never called back. Poor customer service. I have read yelps for years, but have to start by saying, I have never written a negative review! I am pretty easy, go with the flow. But when it comes to my child being in pain, I guess I have a weak spot. I would imagine this is a nice practice in ideal situations(cleanings, check ups, etc) but when push comes to shove, I would not recommend Silver lake if you have a dental emergency. My four year old had extreme tooth pain. I believe a dental filling came out. Unfortunately, our regular dentist was out of town for the week. I called this recommended office this afternoon to see if they could fit him in and was told they were booked all day tomorrow. when I asked if they could fit him in later today I was told right away that " We only see children in the A.M and When asked why they only see kids in the A.M, I was told by the staff lady. " I am sorry, this is our rule Kids are more well rested in the morning and easier to work with." What a general statement to make about all kids! I found this quite bizarre as when it comes to a dental emergency, how can you designate a time frame??? When I asked if there is any exception as my son is in extreme pain. Could you possibly fit him in. I was told no and that the Dr. was with a patient and that was her last for the day.....have a nice day. Ok. Thanks for the help(sarcasm here). But to end on a positive note, I found another dentist who puts a child's dental emergencies as a priority in the schedule. read more

Had to switch dentists when we switched to an HMO to cover braces. We have been very satisfied with this dental office. The staff are very nice, friendly and accommodating. Cleanings are better now that they have a more permanent hygienist (for a bit the girl filling in was not great). The dentist is very nice and seems competent. All in all, not a bad place. read more
