Beer is good. Love the variety and love the glaciers. Pretty good prices, too. Th service is slow, but the servers are so friendly, and it doesn't feel rude because it feels so familiar. I loved the mango beer, but yeast of the east was pretty good and the snake bite was a solid porter. read more

I used to enjoy this bar but the service has gone down hill hard. I've seen men walk out of there in the middle of the day and drive off after hitting cars in the parking lot. The staff is extremely rude neighboring business guests. It's sad because this was once where we would all meet for drinks and music but now we go elsewhere. Hope they step it up soon. In town for vacation, and wanting to hit up as many breweries as possible. This was close by the Oregon Spirit distillery, where I was at. The place is located right about an underpass and looked more like a bar. The staff was friendly and the prices were lower than others I had been to. I also liked that they had a half pint for only $3, so you can have more beers than maybe you would if you were just getting pints ($4.50) and wanting something more than just a tasting. Overall the beers were solid. I didn't think it was anything that I needed to have again, but that was fine for me. The Tweed Jacket (English Brown) was excellent, as was the Panty Dropper (pale ale). A few were a little off the mark (casual ale). We also got the Mango Pale Ale to go, which was different but a great tasting pale. Would recommend trying this if you are into different flavors. If I was rating just the beers I'd give this place 3 stars, but the for the price point I think it's worth a 4. Good quality beers, worth a stop if nearby. read more

I went in for my Birthday, and would have stayed longer, bought more drinks and listened to the live music IF there were better service and if it weren't a complete rip-off. If I could give 0 stars to write a review, I would. This place is awful. The barmaid is a bitch and the drinks are so watered down that I'd have a problem paying 3 dollars for them, but to charge me 7 dollars for a ridiculously awful well whiskey and pepsi... get real. We just stopped in for the taster flight. Beer was great. Picked up a growler of the Voodoo ISR for later. The Hopnob IPA was also great. It was 9pm on a Sunday so not a lot going on. We sat at the bar and talked with the bartender who had all the time in the world for us. Will definitely seek out their beer in the future. read more

We went on the Bend Ale Trail and this was one of the worst breweries we went in! The guy behind the bar was more interested in the four people at the counter, and then his friends that were leaving, than new customers. We walked in, sat down at a table and were there for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement at all from the guy behind the counter or the gal serving food. The cook had food sitting up ready for over 5 minutes and no one went over to get it when he rang the bell...twice. We don't know how their beer or food was...we ended up walking out, still with no acknowledgment that we were there. Got our stamps and left! read more

Iv had silver moon beer in cans for years up in Seattle and have really loved it and there beer is just great but there Tap room was soooo disappointing because the service was some of the worst Iv ever had in my life, we were simply ignored once's seated and then our waitress finally gave us a sample then took about 10 min wandering around and Standing at her computer before she told someone else to come help, to have fries and one round of beers I had to get up three times to get service and they still forgot my sisters drink and was never given napkins or small plates with our apps. I also my id checked 2 Times because you just kept switching waitresses on us and when I couldn't get anyone to help us pay our bill I found the nearest waitress and asked if she could help and she gave me a gnarly look and just said ok putting my credit card in her pocket and continued to serve people, after 10 min of watching that I had to once again get up and get someone to help me get my card back and pay, overall bad experience, your front of house sucks!!! Definitely worst brewery in town (I also like how they have 31 reviews under "reviews that are not currently recommend" that they flagged at the bottom of the page. every single one about bad service going back years..) wow.. just wow guys.. A local favorite. The beer is slightly above average and in a town of Awesome breweries that is saying a lot. Music on friday-saturday nights makes it loud and fun. Food is marginal. this place is great if you like dark beers. snakebite is a wonderful carbonated concoction, oh and the G fries - fries covered in melted gorgonzola cheese are pretty amazing. plus i feel cool ordering them. they usually have bands playing on the weekends and the place can become a crazy/awesome mad house when they do. its the brewery without all the touristy cliche's; a brew pub for the locals, nothing fancy, just good beer and good pub food. read more

I always go here when I'm on vacation in Bend. It's kind of an unassuming place right next to a highway overpass. Inside though it looks really nice, a comfortable kind of vibe. I'm not a big beer drinker but the service and food were great. Definitely worth a visit. read more

Stopped by the new Silvermoon brew pub. We have been going to this "locals" pub for the past 15 years. Well the new re-design looks great, BUT it is extremely noisy. Insane noise levels [Hearing damage dB]. One cannot talk to anyone without screaming. When a band is playing forget it! Hearing damage to the max! Brew pubs are the social drinking experience where folks talk each other. The other very noisy brew pubs in Bend include: Deschutes Pub on Bond , Three Creeks in Sisters, and 10 Barrel. In a land of concerned citizens [Oregon], why don't Brew pub owners think about the conversation [talking to each other] part of the beer experience when doing a re-design. The old Silvermoon pub setup was cool . Folks could have a conversation and hear each other. Well New Owners we will not be back as we value our hearing. Go Team!! read more

The location of this brewery is... not very good. There was a homeless guy by where I parked in the back, just camping out back there.. umm, did not make me feel comfortable about leaving my car there, but needless to say, I went in. The building, inside and around the building either smelled like wet dog or a gerbil cage... and either of those things... eeww! We always say that no matter where the restaurant is or the size of it.. it should be full/ packed in order to be a good place.... Well we went there on a Friday night.... around 6 pm.. and the place was DEAD!!! NO one was in there!!! The bathroom was semi decent. I will say one positive is that they have a free pool table. We did not eat here, I did not feel comfortable eating here, so we ordered the porter. which I was looking forward to, and of course, they were out.. so we got the amber and the pilsner. The amber was way too much like an IPA (and we do NOT like IPA's) and the Pilsner was decent. We sat outside by the busy street side.. not a good patio, to drink our beers. I would probably not go back here, and just try their porter at a local gas station, bc i believe they sell their porters around bend. I wouldnt go again! read more

This is my first time writing a review and I thought who deserves my ultimate food and beer praise most. It's you Silver Moon hands down. I'm a huge beer fan and my all time favorite beer is Maui Wowie, introduced to me on my 22nd birthday, since then I have tried many of their delicious citrus beers and have loved each and every one. My husband and I live in Portland but we make the 3 hour journey to Bend with Silver Moon on our mind. It's always a welcoming feeling to walk in seeing Patrick's smiling face and don't even get me started with the amazing daily food specials. this is one of my favorite brew pubs in town. it gets busy but unlike a lot of the pubs here it has a really close knit locals vibe. the manager rocking the crazy hair is a serious service industry professional. table touching and great vibes abound when he's on deck. I know I am in store for a quality experience when I walk in and see that hair. I brought some friends down for the $10 Pint & Burger deal on Wed. Food was good, beer was good, deal was even better. I suggest the Pale Ale or the Porter (with a whiskey) Seriously, a great place to hang out after work and or catch some live music which they have pretty regularly. My only complaint... would be... We awkwardly moved around the bar and tables trying to get a drink while servers walked back and forth around us without a greeting or anything- they all acted basically too cool for school. After 10 or so minutes we went to a table thinking maybe that is where they prefer to take orders. After being ignored there, we just got up and walked out. Friendly staff, great space with awesome murals. The beer was excellent, well balanced, not a bad one in the bunch. We dined on the pretzel (yum) and Reuben's. I had the side salad which had great greens and slightly pickled cukes, was fantastic. We returned a second night for beer and a growler fill.
