Love the staff. The doctor, not so much. This is from about 18 months ago. He took my EKG and announced I had a heart attack sometime in the past. I asked when but he didn't know. So I went though a battery of tests which showed absolutely no issues. I then asked why he would say I had a heart attack. The answer was "well, your heart could have repaired itself or it was so minor to not cause damage." When I asked him why the EKG would have shown a heart attack, he really had no answer. 4 doctors since then and none have stated I had a heart attack. His BS disagnosis has caused me to lose a primary care doctor when I objected to the heart attack garbage in my records. Stay away from this guy. I don't think he's a quality doctor. read more

I will be honest, the first couple of times I was a little annoyed by the wait. But after a few visits, I realized exactly why it happens. Dr. Parilak truly takes time with each patient, and that is something you do not see very often anymore. When it is finally your turn, you do not feel rushed at all. He takes the time to explain what is going on, answers questions in plain language, and makes sure you actually understand your condition and the plan. He focuses on educating you, not just telling you what to do or handing you a prescription and moving on. I really appreciate that, because it makes you feel involved in your own care instead of just being processed through an appointment. He is confident in his answers, thoughtful in how he explains things, and very thorough. That confidence and clarity make it much easier to trust the decisions being made. I would much rather wait a little longer to see a doctor like this than see someone who rushes in, rushes out, and leaves you unsure about what is really going on. Overall, Dr. Parilak is exactly the kind of cardiologist you want if you value thoughtful care, clear explanations, and a doctor who actually takes the time to get it right. read more

Dr Parilak takes time with his patients, you don't feel like you have to rush to get out what your concerns are. His advise is reasonable and easy to follow, but I do have to say he is very good an identifying excuse, and gently, but firmly will steer you back to where you need to be. He is experienced, on top of things, easy to contact and his staff is also very good at what they do. read more

We will not be retuning as patients here. I like the doctor a lot but the staff is awful and high turn over rates. My husband had an appt there last November, he had to call day of to cancel because he woke up sick (ended up having Covid). The girl on the phone told him they'd waive the $50 cancellation fee. Well months later we got the bill in the mail to pay the $50. Twice I called (the times that they answered the phone) the girl said "oh yeah I remember this and yes you're fine I'll put it on my office managers desk to remind her". Another month goes by, got another bill in the mail, so I stopped into the office a few weeks ago to handle it because we're not going to collections over $50. I explained to the girl up front what was happening, she was new so she went in the back to talk to the office manager, Gina. She came up and said there's nothing in the notes saying it was waived so we had to pay. The office manager came up to the front to get something and didn't acknowledge me knowing there was an issue. I asked if she was the office manager and right off the bat she had an attitude. She said the original girl who I spoke to no longer works there (not surprised because every time we'd go they have someone new up front). She asked if we had a doctors note stating my husband had Covid, I said no because he wasn't ill enough to need to go to urgent care. She asked how we knew he had Covid then. I told her you can buy the tests at CVS? She then asked "well do you have a picture of the test?" I said no because this was 6 months ago at this point and we were told not to worry about it. If the original girl who canceled the appt told him to get a doctor's note from urgent care, he would have. NOT ONCE did Gina apologize for the miscommunication, the misinformation, the inconvenience etc. I made a comment about us not coming back and she said "that's fine". Gina probably runs out every office girl who works there if she treats them just as bad as she treated a patient. read more

I went to see Dr Parilak after another physician found an unusual heart beat. In the last two weeks I have had several rounds of tests and today came back to get the results. He sat down and went over every result and discussed options for treatment, which after thorough testing ended up being minimal. This doctor is smart, shoots from the hip yet really cares. If you are looking for someone who tells you what you want to hear- move along, this physician isn't that person. And his office staff is amazing. read more

The office staff here are horrible. They switch and change appointments for no reason at all. Well...the reason is because they can. Tests are scheduled several weeks apart and no results given until all tests have been completed. Once you see Dr. Parilak his disposition is like night and day compared to the reception staff. With the lack of follow up on your results until all tests have been completed is ridiculous. Please note that you must pay for a visit to just get your test results. The office staff don't have a professional secured email. They use a Gmail account that someone set up. Unless they have a secured way of sending information to them, I wouldn't recommend using email. If you want the runaround, then by all means this is the place for you. Otherwise, I'd say stay far away from this office and save yourself a headache. read more

Dr. Parilak has been our cardiologist since we moved here seven years ago. He probably saved my spouse's life more than once with his procedures and medications! He is attentive and thorough, very knowledgeable--keeps up with the medical literature and the science for treating the heart and the circulatory system. Most important perhaps is the fact that he takes time to discuss and describe procedures and medications with you (unlike some doctors we've had who not only won't take time, but also assume patients are too dumb to understand anything). The time Dr. Parilak spends with patients might make him late for appointments, but it is definitely worth the wait. We highly recommend him and his office staff who are friendly and prompt. read more

Though some patients like Dr. Parilak, I did not have a satisfactory experience. I was there only for a surgery pre-op referral from my primary care doctor, for a slightly irregular EKG. My first impression of him was that he was unprofessional in that he was wearing a plain white t-shirt (like an undershirt) and jeans - not professional at all. I had to wait over 30 minutes past my 12 noon appointment for him to enter the exam room. He proceeded to talk more about himself than appear interested in me as a patient. He did not establish a good rapport, and seemed socially inept. He rambled on for a while, flipping through my paperwork. He asked a few questions about my health. He then launched into what I call an unsolicited pre-med lecture on the history of cardiac health and treatment. I tried to act interested for a while then started staring at the floor. He was totally unaware of my uninterested body language. After about two minutes I interrupted him and asked him if all this had a point, as I just wanted to know if I was cleared for surgery or not. He explained that he was just trying to "educate me" and seemed insulted that I did not want to listen to him go on and on about information I was sure was not relevant to the purpose of my appointment. I asked him to tell me if I was cleared for surgery or not. He said he wanted to send me for an echocardiogram and stress test. He asked if I wanted to schedule those with his front desk. I declined and left. Overall I felt he was less interested in me as a patient and more interested in hearing himself talk. I would not recommend Dr. Parilak to anyone. read more

Dr Parilak, his staff and basically his Medical practice are DOOMED! I My husband and I had been patients here for 5 years Husband saw the doctor in October 2023 and he was asked to return one year later. At the time of the appointment the doctor prescribed medication for his BP and cholesterol. When we went to fill the medication we were told the prescription was withdrawn by the doctor. When we called the doctors office we were told the prescription was withdrawn because a relative has an outstanding balance at the doctors office. The doctor's action was unprofessional, unethical and shows no regard for his patients health. When husband threatened to file a complaint with the Nevada Medical board the doctor's office promptly ordered his script at the pharmacy. Our health is serious to us and the doctor shows NO REGARD for our health. We have never experienced such terrible treatment from a doctor. BEWARE of using this doctor, the reviews are all true! Wow, great Doctor and amazing staff! CHRISTIAN helped schedule, checked with insurance provider and then gave me best options. Made making the decision regarding Echo, Stress test so easy. Followed by RICHARD the ultrasound technologist, who was so conscientious, compassionate, communicative, through it all. Felt very safe and respected at all times. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Planning to switch physicians and given they're in Henderson and I near Red Rock that says a lot. So to those that have issue with a smart physician my recommendation would be to bring a friend to listen and ask pertinent questions. Doctor does not "suffer fools." Last friday my dad complaint of sharp pain in his heart stopped by santa rosa medical center dr took him in immediately and did all shorts of testing, ekg, blood work and referred us to cardiologist dr leonard , he order some ultrasounds and pet scan. He also noticed my dad was retaining liquids his legs were swollen and gave us new medication and since then he looks great legs not swollen anymore and good circulation. My husband and I have been going to Silver State Cardiology since the beginning of this year. My husband has random palpitations and was able to figure out what was going on after a full physical. Within a week or so. I on the other hand have a handful diagnosis that makes finding a good doctor difficult. He's one of the best cardiologist I've seen in the last 20 years. The only reason this place is getting 1 star is because how lovely the front desk staff is. I went in extremely worried due to the symptoms I've been having. Everything was great until Dr. Parilak came in. He was talking over me as I was telling him my symptoms, he mentioned something about my average heart rate on a treadmill and as I went to inform him my average heart rate when I'm outside for 30 minutes from my Apple Watch he says "Excuse me, it'd be nice if I could get through what I need to say without being interrupted so I can get a damn word in" Keep in mind I was basically silent before this. At the check out desk, I politely asked if I could possibly see a different doctor. He started arguing with me and said I wouldn't find a doctor that spent the time with their patients 'even when they can't get a word in edge wise'. I'm sorry, I thought doctors would like a patients history before charging hundreds of dollars for test. I have never been more disrespected by a DM or seen someone act so unprofessional. He's educated, but unless you want to be talked to like your stupid and basically tell you he's not interested in what you have to say, find a different cardiologist. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Parilak. He is very devoted, compassionate and caring. Not only is he an amazing doctor but his staff is also phenomenal as they are kind and always helpful. The entire office is very time efficient, responsible and reliable. When I go to Dr. Parilak I know that I'm in good hands. He's the type of doctor who sits down, listens to you, doesn't dismiss any of your symptoms, answers all your questions and explains to you everything in a concise manner. I've had experiences where the doctor would just sit in the corner, half listen to your symptoms while staring at a computer and end up spending less than two minutes with you even though you waited for them for two hours. It's amazing in this day and time to find a doctor who truly cares about his patients and will take the time to educate them on what they can do to better themselves to achieve good health. He makes sure that he gathers all of the information from lab work, testing and any other data that he can obtain to insure that he has a complete picture of your unique situation, and he will come up with a treatment plan that is catered to you. The testing can be done in the office in most cases. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I feel as if I am in extremely capable hands with a doctor who is committed to his field and makes you feel as if you're not just a number. I've seen several Cardiologist in the past as I've been battling my issues for many years, never have I come across someone as dedicated and caring as Dr. Parilak. Had to go for an EKG prior to my surgery, the young girl that did the EKG informed me she had not finished school yet, after my reading a young guy came in asking what surgeries I had had, I asked if there was something wrong he informed me there might be. I asked to see the doctor, 15 minutes later a very irritated doctor came in (Scruffy guy in a Steelers sweat suit), he asked me what is wrong? I asked if he could explain the EKG and why things had changed so differently since my last EKG a year ago at Steinberg Diagnostic, he said I have been doing this for years, its not like I make money of it, I will not approve you until you get an Ultra sound for me to discuss this further. AMAZINGLY there was a cancelation, since my insurance did not cover it, and I was truly worried at this point, I paid $200 cash. As I nervously sat and waited to see the Doctor for the results, after 20 minutes I asked if it would be much longer, I was told 5 minutes, 10 minutes later the same guy that told me it would be 5 minutes came out and handed me my results, I asked if I could see the Doctor to discuss them, he stated I would need to make another appointment. SPOILER ALERT, My heart was 100% fine !! Could not pay me to go back here again !! read more
